Springs wear out by compression and expansion. It just adds wear and tear on them. Maybe he just needed to limp them along for an extra stage.

I torque to 12 inch pounds. I just used blue thread locker

I can't reload with a 170 as quickly as with a 140.
And, it's not a lot of fun running with two 170 's on my belt.
I agree that’s why I’m surprised with people saying the 155 is faster than the 140.

This thread is interesting. it's really the first time I'm hearing people praise the 155. Up until now, most people I know have said it's slower to reload than 140 mags.
I've never tried a 155, so I don't have first hand knowledge. Intuitively, though it seems that the shorter mag would be easier to reload. If longer was easier, then why wouldn't we just carry 170s.

Once you try the 155 you may not go back. So much easier to reload!
Are you saying the 155 are easier to reload than a 140?

Oh, you northern guys make me laugh - you have No Idea what Heat is.
Come on down this summer.
Ha... my folks lived in Florida for years after they retired... and you’re right, that heat and humidity is on another level.
I used to travel out to TX, AZ, and NM a lot for work too and you all can keep that summer heat too.
I don’t do well in temps above 80 LOL.

I ended up seeing an audiologist and getting fit for custom ear plugs.
None of the off the shelf ear plugs fit me well. And wearing muffs all day in the heat wasn’t fun.

I keep thinking a used front load washer would be good for this. Maybe it's time to search craigslist for someone giving one away for free.
This would be tumbled without pins of course...

I just fit up a new Gen 1 9/38 170mm tube and a brand new 4G2 pad and it doesn't fit the gauge.

You can get a replacement flat guide/brake from Cajun or CZ Custom.

They sell the gun specific body separately too. So still some modularity but at a higher cost to switch.
I like it... if I didn’t already have the alpha x then I would have given this a serious look.

Why Shadow 2?
in CZ
I have both.. as long as both have been setup the same, then it really comes down to the frame ergonomics and how each fit your hand and your draw.
go with whichever feels better and draws/aims more naturally for you

I pinch the hammer with my thumb and middle finger and have my index finger blocking the hammer/firing pin

They did my slides in about 4 weeks

I didn’t think it was 2012... but the new labels are a black and white square / triangle thing. They don’t say ORM-D anymore.

Is this where we all commiserate together?

I usually don't even get out of my truck without eyes and ears. LOL

I carry either a P365, Shield, G43 or XDS. Small single stack because it conceals well.
I'm running a Shadow 2 with Vortex Venom in CO.

I went Option 2 since there are a lot of nice used open guns in the classifieds here.
I've found out the hard way on another purchase that trying to re-barrel or convert a 2011 isn't cheap.
I do like the suggestion of Option 5 though... toss an optic on your MOS G34 and have fun in CO

They’re all slightly different. I will say that I have some Gen 1 tubes and the older 4mm pads won’t fit the 140 garage. I don’t know about the newer base pads

Hmmmm.. should I put my nitrofin on my CO gun now?

I’m th same and shoot long guns lefty.
When I was younger I closed my left eye and shot right handed.
If I’m stuck with iron sights then I still do the same
but since I’ve been needing reading glasses more and more, I’ve moved to red dots. That’s allowed me to go to both eyes open

I’m not sure Ed Cameron is doing much business anymore. I’ve emailed, called and even resorted to FB to try and get a hold of him with no response.

Yup. Lots of people shoot 9mm out of a 38super/SC.
