    I can't reload with a 170 as quickly as with a 140.

And, it's not a lot of fun running with two 170 's on my belt.

I agree that’s why I’m surprised with people saying the 155 is faster than the 140.

  2. This thread is interesting. it's really the first time I'm hearing people praise the 155.  Up until now, most people I know have said it's slower to reload than 140 mags.

I've never tried a 155, so I don't have first hand knowledge.  Intuitively, though it seems that the shorter mag would be easier to reload.  If longer was easier, then why wouldn't we just carry 170s.

Oh, you northern guys make me laugh - you have No Idea what Heat is.     🌞     🔥

Come on down this summer.     🤣

Ha... my folks lived in Florida for years after they retired... and you’re right, that heat and humidity is on another level.

I used to travel out to TX, AZ, and NM a lot for work too and you all can keep that summer heat too.

I don’t do well in temps above 80 LOL.

  4. I ended up seeing an audiologist and getting fit for custom ear plugs.

None of the off the shelf ear plugs fit me well.  And wearing muffs all day in the heat wasn’t fun.

  5. I have both.. as long as both have been setup the same, then it really comes down to the frame ergonomics and how each fit your hand and your draw.

go with whichever feels better and draws/aims more naturally for you

  6. I went Option 2 since there are a lot of nice used open guns in the classifieds here.

I've found out the hard way on another purchase that trying to re-barrel or convert a 2011 isn't cheap.

I do like the suggestion of Option 5 though... toss an optic on your MOS G34 and have fun in CO
