  1. Cleaning is the biggest advantage. Another is that it makes longer files fit in my safe easier. Transport is a toss up in my opinion.. makes for a thicker case and I don’t have a problem with long cases in my truck
  2. I tired to like the boombah, but they hurt my feet. Too narrow in the toe. Anyone try golf shoes?
  3. I have it on my S2's and my S1's. I love the setup since it gives me the flexibility to change sights. They mill it so low, that the added thickness of the plate doesn't make the optic too high.
  4. I'm an O ring person too. To me it takes all the issues out of the equation.
  5. I like it... but I also like the gold tiger striped DEagle.
  6. You can't ship it USPS, and will have to use Fedex or UPS. Depending on who you ask and who you listen too, it can get expensive because some sources say it needs to go overnight... others say 2nd or 3day is fine. I've found that dropping it off at my local FFL is the cheapest way to go. They charge anywhere from $25-$45 to ship. Others have recommended this service https://www.shipmygun.com/go/

    CZ Shadow 2 Orange

I thought about this too, but wouldn't it defeat the purpose of the S2O? It negates the hand fitting and the bushing.

Well, I hope you shoot it and then get a backup S2O. And then get tired of them and sell them to me cheap like you did with your S1’s
  9. Hard to really tell, but grooves look sharp, just very dirty - especially from that one comp pic. Clean it and see how it does
  10. I haven't put an order in since last summer... they got crushed with orders and covid and their suppliers too for coatings. My last order they just switched colors and sent them to me without giving me a chance to alter my order.
  11. Look at small fishing tackle boxes... some of the plano models are still made in the USA
  12. Get an art portfolio case with a should strap

    which cz

I don't think any of them fit like a 1911 in the hand. That's not to say that they don't have triggers that can be as nice or nicer, but they definitely won't feel the same.
  14. I wonder what will be posted in the classifieds soon
  15. Prior to their RDS system, I believe they did a direct multi cut option. I don’t think that works with the plates
  16. You can't go wrong with CZ Custom or Cajun. They both do amazing work and will return a reliable trigger. I've read mixed reviews of the MCarbo kit, but haven't seen one in person, so it's all just internet comments. Also there is CJ Maven who does incredible work tuning these guns. I've had guns done by CJ, CZC, and CGW. All have been great and reliable.
  17. Yes it will impact resale value. How much is the question... in a gun shop it wouldn’t have been good to begin with so that’s not a real concern. On a competition forum, then you’ll need to find someone who wants to run an optic.
  18. I’ve done my long cooks in an igloo cooler. Works great
  19. any interest in selling the Shadow 2 Bull?
  20. I’m sure they both have their reasons and it’s their business. From what I’ve seen Christian has been a very good representative of the sport. I wish him the best of luck.
  21. I have an Anova as well. Works great for Chicken. It works well for steak too, but I've never really had a problem cooking steak how I like it. I've done ribs for 48 hours too and it works great. You really can't go wrong it really is set it and forget it. For the long cooks, I'll use an older igloo cooler. I also bought a torch to finish things off after wards.
  22. Years ago, they were fine. If it showed as in stock, it would ship within a week and you'd get it in decent time. Amazon has definitely changed our expectation on shipping/receiving though. Now, even if it shows as in stock, they still don't usually ship for weeks. I won't order from them anymore. I suppose, if you really don't care about when it comes in, then it's ok. They are a reputable site, but definitely use their logistics algorithms to minimize their costs for shipping and distribution, and that results in slow shipping.
