So it looks like the Cheely is the only option for a mount currently...for an open rig at least?
and anyone know of where a 5 moa is in stock?
"In Stock" at opticsplanet

10k rounds? Add another zero and I’d be impressed
I’m not positive I’ve ever gotten a full two seasons out of one. When I was shooting more seriously, 1200-1500 rounds a week was the norm.
Broke an STI slide on a Bedell limited gun. Cracked the caspian slide that replaced it.
Cracked a caspian on a Lonestar Limited gun, the caspian that replaced it failed around the FP stop cut, and a piece broke off. And I have a caspian slide limited gun in my safe that cracked about a year ago.
My wife has also cracked a couple of caspian slides on Open guns. I’m not even sure that’s all of them.
So, you can see how my opinion has been formed.
All of our guns are built on PT slides now, and we have not had a failure yet. One of which is one of the first prototype PT slides on a limited gun that has many more rounds on it than any of my previous guns did. It’s purposefully Swiss cheesed, and still has not failed.
Where do you buy PT slides from I don't see them on their website

I destroy them at a pace that is cheaper to replace mags than inserts. I also use garbage mags for dry fire.
what is the wear like on your steel insert

I destroy Dawson inserts. I’d suspect the derlin insert on a convex design is a particularly bad idea. Im curious to see how they hold up. I have a limcat and love it. Have tried the akai steel one as well. It is heavier than limcat but doesn’t work as well.
i think that is how it is designed to cause minimal damage the magazine and replaceable inserts instead

how do you get two legion grips?

You shouldn't need to take any off the top of the disconnector although one post said he did because he had fitting issue with the sear cage
-
Did you try a lightened firing pin spring with the Henning firing pin
-
did you lift the sear spring
-
oh I thought the Czechmate reverse plug would be longer than the slide and stick out - plus they been out of stock all year
-
8.5# and CZ 75b the hammer doesn't even rest against the slide/firing pin
13# hammer spring I'm at 2.0lb trigger pull even
-
What reverse plug are you using on a 75b if you cut the slide shorter and use a Czechmate/style comp?
Thanks
edit: can I just use the czechmate comp guide rod hole?
still curious what you used on some of your builds

you had to pay or was it under warranty

Did you have to stone the sear angle a bit to get trigger pull that low? The stock sear angle is pretty aggressive.
unica hammer and sear with henning trigger

FWIW. Extended firing pin + Federal (soft) primers + light firing pin spring + moving the gun forward before it is clear of the holster and flipping it onto the concrete = Boom if you do not have a FPB and probably only if the gun lands just right. Still have the dirty shorts.
Edit: Washed shorts that were once dirty that is. There is only so far I will go for memorabilia.
I am using 15lb mainspring and have some loads with CCI primers to try - trigger pull weight still under 1.75lb

Sorry dude but that's incorrect. A 10 MOA dot at 100 would cover 10 inches
MOA is an angular measurement that increases over distance. So think of it like a funnel. Where the pointy bit is at your muzzle and the mouth of the funnel down range.
2 Moa dot at 100 would cover 2 inches
3 Moa dot 3 inches at 100 and so on.
So for like the Eotech for example (and Sig Romeo 4 and 5, and the holosun 510c) it has a 65 MOA donut. Why that's important for a combat optic is the average sized human being is about 65 inches from head to toe. So you can kind of use it to range targets. So if the circle superimposed over a guy, and he fits in there from foot to head, hes about 100 yards away.
But we are never shooting to 100 yards with a pistol. Even an open gun with a frame mounted dot.
You really only need to be concerned 20 yards and in. So the larger dot can be argued that its easier to acquire at speed and such. And who knows. It might be.
So your 10 MOA dot would cover
2.5 inches at 25 yards
5 inches at 50 yards
7.5 at 75 yards
10 at 100 yards
10-8=2

I have a different take on this, coming from about 20 years of trigger jobs on all manner of semi-auto pistols. The fitting method you and MM described work, so please don't take this as saying you guys are wrong, but I've also noticed that most of you who fit the safety this way with a one piece sear and titan hammer also need to use an extended firing pin block. That happens because the titan hammer holds the rear (engagement surface) of the sear a tiny bit higher, dropping both front arms lower, which prevents the safety from engaging (before fitting) but also keeps the right arm from engaging the stock firing pin block.
The fitting method I prefer is to remove material from the bottom side of the large flat section at the rear of the sear. In the picture above, that is the underside of the sear at the right of the pic; this is the surface that has the little casting nub. That does not reduce sear engagment (you'd have to shorten the hammer hooks for that); instead it allows the rear of the sear to drop lower, raising the front arms to work with the stock safety and firing pin block.
I used this method years ago when doing trigger work on CZ and Tanfo pistols, and just a couple weeks ago when fitting the Extreme one piece sear and Titan hammer in my Stock II. On the Stock II, I ended up removing .006" from the bottom edge of the sear flat; the point where the safety engaged correctly was also the right point for the stock firing bin block to function correctly. That .006" material removed did not count the casting nub, just the flat area.
Also just a tip on sear fitting - I found a small roll pin in my hardware stash that was the perfect size to use as a slave pin in my sear. It made the spring installation easy, and that roll pin is a standard size you can find at a hardware store. I'll measure it this evening if anyone is interested.
i should note: mine is a open gun so i took out the fpb
i use one safety same as my 2011
