Spring loaded detent on the left and a catch without a spring on the right.

Is the D Style sear cage wider than the Tumbler? I have removed the FBS and using a spacer in the Tumbler - wondering if this setup will work in the D Style with CGW adjustable sear? Thanks

  2. "Red dot sights were not new in the late 1980s; they had been around. The first-generation Aimpoint Electronic was a red dot originally meant for rifles in the late 1970s.

However, in IPSC, Jerry Barnhart was the first to figure out how to use a subsequent model on a handgun. He showed up at the 1990 USPSA Nationals with a red dot sight and beat us so badly it was embarrassing.

Two months later, Doug Koenig mounted a scope on his gun, practiced with it and won the World Shoot with it that same year."

I have purchased four CZ75 SA over the years, and they all have been tumbler style. The D Style sear cages are $69 plus the cost of the safeties that you add so this modification could easily be one of the most expensive one on the gun. The extended LHS Safety needs a lot of trimming in order to use properly.

I plan to upgrade to the D Style cage and safeties - Do I use the LHS and RHS spring and detents from the tumbler style or will I need something else?

  4. Does anyone know what color are the CZC CZ 75 Short Size Mikro Pocket Grips

Of the three mentioned, the Ed Brown is the last one I would pick.  In fact, I would only use it if it were the only one available.  Been there, done that.

The EGW .245" has a lot of extra meat on it.  You basically lap the fit by putting 600 grit on the tangs and rotating the GS on them.  You do end up with a perfect fit.  Blending is a bear if you are putting it on an STI , JEM or similar frame.  You definitely will need a Dremel or a vertical belt sander.  The arm is massive.  You have to remove a lot of material (typical for EGW) but it will NEVER break.

The JEM GS fits a JEM or STI fame so well you can do the blending with a strip of emery cloth.   It is STI style so it has the small arm, but it is cut from billet or bar stock, so it is much stronger than the STI POS.

Tool steel or cast:  wait until you have the arm of a cast GS break off and you will be converted.  That happened to me with an STI GS.

I changed my options and now I am leaning towards the Cheely pinned beaver tail with no arm

I'd lay off the Caspian slides as well.  The one I'm using right now disgusts me.  The last STI slide I used was better, and that's really saying something.  The last two Caspians had problems also.

what problems did you have with Caspian?

I use a Cheely which is very similar to the front one on my open guns. I use one like the middle on a SS 9 gun. I have tested very little on the SS. My main focus is open.

Have you tried the Atlas to compare - it is even flatter

Reading about it, if you tune it to your load & springs, as echo tango stated, it’s supposed to reduce recoil as opposed to a radiused firing pin stop. Idk if that’s the case or not, just curious is all.

from what i understood the radius reduces the recoil because it slows the slide down when cycles and the flat just makes the slide rack easier but more recoil - i have no experience

  9. I fit the BOLO in a CZ 75B SAO on Friday night - this is my first and only CZ

I am not sure how much difference this makes, if any, then a T3 after you get done fitting it. Maybe the curve of the hook is a little different. But I got the BOLO for $35 shipped on black Friday.

It did lower my trigger pull weight. with no disconnector, I was getting 1lb 14oz. After fitting the BOLO I am getting 1lb 10oz. only light polishing on the hammer strut right now (as seen in the picture above). I am not sure if polishing the trigger bar and sear cage will help any further?

I didn't really know what I was doing and I am sure someone with more experience could do a better job.

Is there any room to scallop the rear of the slide and not expose the firing pin block hole? or if you don't go deeper than the rear sight cut?
