I made a few years ago, the major problem is getting a spring that will last. After 5 full compressions the spring would start to fail. I wouldn't put in the last two rounds until I was doing "Load and make ready". It was fun to beat up on the double stack guys. I would only use the 170 length mags if the stage dictated, I mainly used 9, 10, and 12 round mags the most.

How many rounds did it hold?

Are the Cmore Slide Rides that you can buy now the exact same as they were sold in 1993?

Jack, no problem I was just giving some info that may help others out. Open is a funny division since there is so many choices and of coarse everyone has the perfect setup, kinda like PCC. Thanks, Eric
2You make these from Trubor blanks?

Ejector is the same. U need different extractors
he is going to change slides

you can get a Brazos tuned ejector that works for 9mm and .40
-
almost all 1911 parts are fitted to their particular gun - the price you are paying is for their detail in work - Glock parts are completely different
-
can you not just re-chamber current barrel to 9mm?
-
what kind of trigger pull weight are you getting with 75b's?
they are not as adjustable as 1911/2011 ?

It’s Bobby Keegan’s. Matt still makes some parts but they are now branded CCG.
In the locked thread someone posted that there was a disagreement about not meeting a level of quality causing the split - anyone knows which side that was?
If I am looking for a bare slide to buy now - should I look at STI or CKarms on CCG site

I get a little smoke on mine but nothing crazy. Part of it is my configuration. I’m shooting a shorty that has a popple in 9major. Powder is aa7.
I do wish it had a blast shield though. Maybe I’ll make one....
are you using JHP

It is named after JJ. He said on his Instagram post that 'RazorCat' was a nickname he got while shooting

STI list the Dawson Precision Tool-Less Guide Rod in their open guns ?

I guess I could build a 2011 if it is that much better than a CZ 75. I think the Glock is out of the question. The only problem with CZ is finding a gunsmith for the machine work; I asked five different gunsmiths and all of them said they can't or won't do work on CZ. I shot Glock, 2011 but never a CZ 75 to compare.

Schuemann website stock wasn't up to date a couple months ago when I was looking. I emailed them about something that was out of stock online and they replied saying they had it available and another item that was in stock online, I got no response assuming they didn't have one. this was a few months ago.
I bought my SVI barrel from speedshooters - in stock no wait

The CZ is a newer design. Slide rails inside of the frame.
-
the Hybrid Barrel cost $70 more than the Bull Barrel and gunsmith charge $80 to cut the slide. $150 more - not sure how much of a difference you are expecting

Is anyone still making 170mm magazines for the 75b (welding together and cutting)?

My 75SA guns have all come with tumbler style safeties, although the frame cut is the same between the two types, so with a different sear cage you can swap them for the D style.
I'm talking about the magazine release

Also, my slide is 'unique' bald with only rear serrations - no lightening

Any way you can post some weights of the barrels and slides from your examples, please?

I only have the weights of an Island Barrel setup if someone has a regular setup to compare. Just guessing It looks like an Island Barrel setup would weigh around 10 grams more.
Infinity .40 s&w Island Barrel 189 Grams with barrel link and pin
STI .40 s&w slide cut for island barrel 368 Grams with sights and fully assembled
-
SA only frame also has the D Style mag release

On the Cheely Grips I see they only come with pinned beavertails now, does it use a propriety grip safety or could you put a normal functioning grip safety on?
