  1. I don't really notice it that much. I have changed grips back and forth on a couple of guns, and I seem to notice the texture or grip style more than the slight angle changes.
  2. Actually what caused the drilling of the end plate, is my son just bought a bunch of Titanium parts for a really nice 556 build on a Mega Arms reciever set, causing me to realize how heavy all the cheap mil-spec steel junk is. So I got out the lipstick
  3. It's an old bad habit from when my son raced quads. Every little bit!
  4. Much lighter, crisper feel. (A small amount of it may be the Elftmann is flat, and cmc is curved, so it's a different feel on the finger itself?) The cmc is pretty good, just not Elftmann good.
  5. Got to the range today, and shot a few hundred rounds between the two guns. 1st - that Barska red dot is going in the garbage! LOL 2nd - Everything else ran good. The CMC trigger is nowhere near as nice feeling as the Elftmann, but it's Not Bad! So I guess I need to buy another optic if that back-up gun is going to be usable. So I am thinking I will get a 510c for the primay gun, then put the Vortex Razor onto my S&W 15-22, and move the Burris FF 3 that's on my S&W 15-22 on to the back-up gun.
  6. I will be interested to hear your results
  7. I was looking for something else when I seen this post, so I thought I would update. The Radian Raptor didn't last long, because the handles are tiny compared to the Next level Armament. The NLA was back on after on a couple times shooting the gun.
  8. I looked at Brownells, but I just looked up Blitzkrieg, they were out of stock. I dont think I realized Kyntec was selling the 9mm directly.
  9. Is there somewhere good besides directly from Blitzkrieg to buy these buffers? I bought my first one from directly, and often prefer to do that, especially if there may be a warranty issue down the road. However I am not afraid to save a few bucks also!
  10. I was super happy that it ended up being the lighter of the two, even with the heavier tube and grip!
  11. It's the difference in the trigger and all the Titainium parts. (Safety, take down pins, grip screw, buffer retainer etc.) Plus I weighed all my parts, like the buffer tube nut etc. and chose the lightest one! I also drilled out the end plate LOL It all adds up!
  12. I found this cheapie Barska red dot in a drawer. It is my sons, he said it wouldn't hold zero. I took it all apart, cleaned up the pivots/mount etc. I think I fixed it, and hope it will work on the back-up for now. I want to get a Holosun 510c but I have other priorities in the gun dept. so I really hope this works! LOL
  13. I just put the curved CMC in my backup. But that was a good price, and I know many people like the flat bow. Just based on playing with it during the install, I think my Elftmann is a little nicer. Unfortunately its a little more expensive also.
  14. Fun with scales! LOL Complete primary gun with Magpul stock, unfortunately the MFT minimalist won't be much better, but every little bit helps. 6 pounds 2.9 oz.
  15. Backup upper 4 pounds 4.1 oz. (No Optic or laser) You can definitely feel the difference on the two!
  16. Backup lower (minus buffer system) 1 pound 9.3 oz. With the Lighter grip and carbine length buffer tube, but all the other parts are heavier.
  17. Primary lower (minus buffer system) 1 pound 9.1 oz. With the heavier grip and longer heavier A5 buffer tube, but all the other parts are lighter.
  18. 2nd lower (this will be my primary one) is assembled! I used a bunch of new high-speed low-drag parts, plus the Elftmann trigger, Hogue grip, Vltor A5 tube, and Blitzkrieg buffer, from the original lower build. Now I wait for the MFT minimalist stock to get here. I guess I also need to dig out one of the prototype magwells for the other one.
  19. I just use the inexpensive CMC pins on everything.
  20. Your 15-22 uses longer "polymer lower" length pins. Any standard pin should work.
  21. Original lower, has been dismantled, cleaned, and reassembled with the new CMC trigger, Magpul furniture, and a Strike Industries buffer tube. It is now officially the "backup/loaner" gun! Just needs a buffer system and an optic!
