  10. Thanks!! This is what I was looking to hear, I'm looking at a used Edge this week with 1500 rds thru it.
  11. I shot a buddies STI DVC 3-Gun at a local match, and it was hands down the most amazing pistol I've ever fired. It runs flawlessly with no issues shooting factory 124gr 9mm I have since been researching the purchase of an STI Edge to replace my Glock 17. I have seen some reports of issues with stock STI's out of the box, some saying that their quality control isnt what it used to be. But I know some guys who say they are perfect out of the box, so I'm getting some conflicting info and hoping you guys could help. Ive finally found an amazing shooting platform, just not sure if I need a Brazos/Titan/CK to be safe. Thanks! Jason
  12. this has been my research as well, seems to be very similar to a small frame witness. EDIT: Im a jeweler, and im dying to break this apart and polish under my microscope!!
  13. OK thanks for setting me straight, thats why im here Should this be moved to CZ forum, please do.
  14. Thanks Jack. Really nice, DA is of course long but SA is really nice, smooth with a nice tactile reset, could be lightened up a smidge and smoothed out some but its great as it sits. Could use a dif profile trigger, looking into that now.
  15. My buddy just picked this new up ridiculously cheap. He's ex IDF and carried the polymer version as a security guard recently. Now back in the states, we saw this at a gun show cheap and had to snag it. I was amazed at the weight and accuracy of this pistol, comes back on sight fast, great shooter. Being a USPSA limited shooter, I have decided to play with it a bit and see what we can do to make it a bit better for competition. I did some searches and found that this is similar to a Stock II? We will use this thread for info and modifications. I appreciate the help of the forum as we go. We will shoot another 200 rounds today then do its first tear down and inspection. Jason
  16. I have a gun show on Sun down in VA, I hope to fondle a few to get a better feel.
  17. Thanks for the above responses. Im a glock shooter, and used to that very audible and tactile click reset. Yes the trigger was "so light" and was unlike anything I have ever fired, felt a bit mushy, but may have been me over squeezing the polymer trigger. I'm torn between this and a Shadow 2, which i hope to fondle this weekend at a gun show. Made me wonder what an aluminum trigger on a properly setup gun would feel like?
  18. I recently rented a TS in 9mm at my local gun range to try it out. Hands down the most accurate pistol I have ever shot. I think there may have been something wrong with the trigger. It seemed loose for lack of a better word, the reset was almost undetectable. I could not feel it or hear it. It made it so I could not shoot the TS with speed/cadence/rhythm, and was disappointed. Now, for the record this is a range gun that NO ONE shoots, its old, looks as if it hadnt been cleaned in a long time. I theorized that since the trigger is adjustable that maybe some thing has backed out, and I need to try another one. Any thoughts guys? Thanks! Jason
  19. First post, thanks for allowing me to be part of the community. I just got a Trijicon RMR 6.5MOA for my Glock 17. Its a comp only limited gun, and id like to flirt with carry optics and possibly open. My current issue lies in whether to do the classic "slide melt" and mount it on the rear of my slide, or go with something like the SJC Mini mount which attached to the frame and allows the optic to be stationary under recoil.
