  2. Congrats to Dan and Mike at the blast Larry , Linda and their entire crew did an awesome job!!!!!!!!!! It was great shooting with all you guys Gary See you soon
  3. I would Like to say THANKS again to Linda C. She is on top of every aspect of SUMMER BLAST!!! We all need more dedication from our staff like Linda puts into BLAST.......... Thanks Linda Gary Cuttitta (CHEETAHS)
  4. That's not a lie. I heard about "the incident" and figured I was having a bad enough day so I left it on the table at Stage 3. My worst time on a stage as I recall...I knew I shouldn't have touched it! I put a hex on it and strategically stashed it where you'd be sure to get it. However, Cheetahs and Zookeeper were supposed to handle it too. You apparently ditched it before you could feel its full effects. I planted hexed Hearthco moonclips at all the wheelgunners home ranges..Carmoney's already found his (preciousssss). Once I have you all under my power, you will be helpless at the "Blast". Anyone who has a moonclip will only shoot deltas. Jeff I saw your moonie and felt some bad vibes coming off it I only had two stages to go and your voodoo magic helped me thru Steve did a fantastic job shooting very consistant and didn't let any stages get him down Looks like tight competition in REVOlution Congrats to Steve on his first Major win He deserves it!!!!!! He EARNED it.. Gary 24 clips to rule them all (Wheelgunners) BWA HA HA
  5. I'LL second that enjoyed every aspect of match WEEL OILED MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gary
  6. Hats off to Steve for a fine performance at Ind.
  7. I would like to add last oct. I talked with Jerry M. about the world shoot this one with the high percents from other parts of the world. The first day Jerry had no vision he said up until mid second day did his front sight vision come clear. He told us that he was getting a pounding from these guys and it wasn't until the last part of match that he pulled it out. All I'm sayingf is you need all the facts.Numbers are just numbers if you don't have and the info. Point taken, HOWEVER, we are talking about our NATIONAL classification system. Mr. Lopez and Mr. Bjorn ( both VERY accomplished wheelgunners) do not regularly shoot in our region, nor do they contribute to our classification system in any regular way. Please list some people IN REGION (the US) who can hang with the demigod of revolver division...Mr. Miculek. I think our very humble revolver forum contributors (Walsh, Carden, Carmoney and Keen) are about the only ones within 10-15 percent of him at nationals or any other major match for that matter. We are trying to keep up with the likes of a legend like the late Ed McGivern (sp?). How can that be the only measuring stick???
  8. Good Job Master Carmony Way to use the force. Keep the REVOlution alive and strong We're on your heels keep looking forward we'll be thre soon Gary
  9. Harald Berrys mfg makes a round nose 40 that is awesome their price has gone up to 68.00 per thousand but they are completely round You can only get them from berrysmfg.com cabelas and some other stores only carry the round shoulder bullet they are cheaper to order from cabelas and this is what I use for practice last price at cabelas for round shoulder bullets was 54.00 per thousand Hope this helps Gary
  10. No fair Cheetahs, you passed me a year ago. You cheat by practicing! Hope to see you there. We're staying at the Holiday Inn (Hannibal, MO). sounds good redmist10 are you bringing your brother-in-law??????? Looks like I'm sqeezing into the icehouse with the crew from Mi. !st time at nat'ls I'll sleep in the tub!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I don't think I qualify as an "old timer", but I am doing some things differently this year than I did on my first trip last year. 1) I'm splitting a golf cart with a shooting buddy. The fatigue factor for a match this long (and in this terrain) were significant for me last year. We also ended up stacked up behind other squads (only on stages with no shade at the wrong end of the range) where it was obvious we were going to have to wait quite a while for the stage to open up. With the distances it just wasn't worth the hike all the way down the hill to go check scores, get a pop, snoop around, then have to hike back up. 2) I have reservations already made at the Ice House so I won't have a 30 mile drive to the range every morning. If your reservations aren't already in, it may be too late. 3) I have a back up gun so if something big breaks, I won't be done. I don't know what I expected to see for vendors at "The Nationals" but I was underwhelmed generally, and Revo shooters were SOL in particular for parts and support. You might have been able to pick up a kydex holster, but if you needed a cylinder stop, a side plate screw, a sight repair, etc, I sure didn't see any available. If you're only bringing one gun, your spares and tools kit will have to cover any issue that may arise. Of course the standard list of things to bring for all these matches apply. Get some all-day bug spray and sun block. And I don't mean any of that candy-ass Avon skin-so-soft sort of stuff, you need to buy the industrial strength saber-tooth-tick formula where the little buggers explode like they hit a bug zapper when they climb your leg. They have special jump qualified Airbourne Ticks that jump off the trees from above. I am not kidding. Be sure your ammo is making your declared power factor, there *will* be a test. Number of stages per day varies according to how your squad falls into the schedule. I think last year our first stage was Chrono, followed by a break or something silly like that, so we only shot like 5 actual stages on the first day, then the rest over two days. There may have been some reshoots Saturday but I didn't see that. We had the awards and were rolling home by about 1pm Saturday. Since the match is in September, instead of July, the heat and sun should be better. Just get your good attitude on and get ready to be tested. One of the elements of these long, multi day matches is that some of us have 3-4 matches occur within the match. You'll have to be able to trash a stage, shake it off, and shoot the next one like the disaster never happened; likewise, if you burn a stage down, that will have to go into the memory box and the next stage will have to be shot as if it's another match that has no relation to the other stages. Add one cheetah from Mi Just got my slot I'll be 610ing with no fumbled reloads As Yogi Berra might say, "90% of the match is half mental." This experience will be about getting your mind right, over and over, no matter what just happened on the last stage, (or in the middle of a stage) and doing your best. You and I will not win this match, but if the scores at the end show I shot my class against the best in the world, I will be delighted. Amen Brother Waltermitty...all of the above is very sage advice. Pasa can be a cruel place. At least it is in September this year, and not July!!! Add 1 Cheetah from Mi I'll take first over Redmist10 It appears the later you log in the better place you come in.
  12. 20s great yahoo from Michigan!!!!!!!!! we still have time think 30 is in reach????????????????????? gary
  13. I have not heard anything good about the prodution JM yet. First one handed to me one practice night at our club about two months ago. Parts fit very poor not what I've been seeing from smith. I told my friend Paul to send it back to smith. He has since gotten it back and I'm not really impressed with what they did. I will stick to my 610s Gary
  14. Hi Rev' I use a blade tech n frame 610 and 625 I have an old safariland rig but can't get the draw times down like with the blade tech That fobus should work just fine It all comes down to your confidence in what you use speed is developed thru practice of your musle memory not always the gear. hope this helps Gary
  15. Sounds like good fun sorry I can't make this one hosting and M.D. 1st Great Lakes Regional IDPA Championship same weekend I'll see you shooters at the next one summer blast for sure Gary
  16. One other point I left out police lights have a couple thousand candle power behind them Gary
  17. Hi Encoreman Don,t know if this will help We'll have to go back to science 101 the light spectrum runs like this ROY G BIV red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet most folks see the lower end of the spectrum better thus they sell more of those colors I'm still young 42 but prefer the green middle of spectrum any of the BIV spectrum will be very hard to pick up at speed hope this helps Gary
  18. Do any of them look like this? If they do I'd like to liberate them from your drawer. Haras, I've got a bunch of those clips, you want 'em ?? Anything to trade I got mine from Ranch years ago (many ) What brass are you using in those clips ? Hey Gary, do you use 10mm or 40 brass ?? What's your trigger pull weight ??
  19. Happy 55 from Michigan Gary

  22. while shooting my first season of uspsa revolver major not realizing the forces that be at 170,000 power I was on a field corse 22 or 24 rounds with my 610 did almost the cylinder in sand as I opened and dumped then came up with the moon clip my reload pushed the crane and cylinder into my hand crain screw was gone reassembled the gun then shot my last 2 rounds Thank goodness there is thread locker DON"T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gary
  23. Three blade-tech doubles in front 2 shoot the moons in back One in hand for LAMR
  24. tls I've been shooting only 610s for the last 2.5 years Heres what I've found, 4 inch non fluted over 80,000 round dry firing and 25,000 plus live fire. If want want metal clips I have over 100 rusting in my drawer. all shapes all styles all manufacturers... 2 summers ago I was shooting a match in OHIO Met some rev. guys from Mass. One of them gave me 4 plastic rimz to see how I liked them. amazing!!!!!! I got home and immediatly ordered 50 from the manuf. In over 1.5 years I have only broken 4 clips (I shoot alot)IPSC and IDPA I will tell you RIMZ will not work if you have a 625 not enough material between rounds to keep them stable. RIMZ will not work in the 646 not enough material between rounds to keep stable. One good point about the RIMZ in 610, They keep the round firm and straight on the clip for horizontal reloads out in front of you face. The only moon clip I will ever buy for 610 in competition. Gary
