  1. The Hat, it was great to have you 3 guys from the USA come over to Australia and shoot with us again. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Next years match should be the same time of year but in Geelong in the Sate of Victoria. Should be a great match as well and I'm sure anyone from overseas would be made most welcome. Hope to see you there also. Pk
  2. The full results for this match can be seen at www.icore.org There were 156 shooters taking part in this match. Here is the very short version of the results. Open Results: 1st. Paul Kennedy 2nd. Clay Donnan 3rd. Roger Davis Limited Results: 1st. Alex Turner 2nd. Chris Young 3rd. Elliot Aysen Top Open Lady Beate Sexton Top Limited Lady Annette Aysen This was the final in this series for 2007. It will be run again in 2008. So for now if you need some postal action then try the 7th ICORE International Postal Match. Details on the icore homepage. Paul Kenendy
  3. The 2007 ICORE International Postal Match package can be downloaded from the icore homepage. Last year there were 368 shooters taking part and this year I would expect to crack the 400 mark. All the information you need is is the package and it can be shot anytime between the 1st of September and the 31st of December. The stages offer a challenge to the shooter and are fairly easy to set up. So why not give it ago. Good Luck Paul Kennedy
  4. Sorry Mike, I'd like to Far & Near stay just as it is. It is the one constant in the match each year and it does give all competitors something to strive for in practice. Maybe not everyone has the facilities to practice the 50yard shots however most would be able to practice the 25y, 10&3 component of the stage. Can't practice the 50yard shots then they should be trying to zero out the closer distances. Apart from providing a focal point to train for, Far & Near does require the devolpment of other skills skills strong/weakhand, reloads under pressure and accuracy. Training sessions with components of F&N incororated into them will benifit your skills overall. I know each time BRT and I have a training day we allways shoot F&N or a component of. It pays off. Can't shoot 50y? Before the IRC on 06 I was training in the garage at home with scaled down 50y and 25y targets. Worked for me allthough I shot nowehere near a PB in the match. I look forward to the challenge of a PB each time I shoot it or even the challenge of zeroing the string we may be practicing. I love it. Leave it as it is. Paul Kennedy
  5. Tom, results are on the ICORE web site. You will find them in the results section. You guys had a great turnout for the match and you let an Aussie run away with the match. Pk
  6. Hi guys, yes the results are out for the 2nd Aussie ICORE postal. There were 144 shooters this time from both the U.S.A. and Australia. Full results can be seen at www.icore.org. The match package for the 3rd round in this series can be down loaded as well. There are 4 stages including 3 X ring stages to test you. So if your up to the challenge then give it a go. Thanks to all the competitors that shot the 2nd match. Regards Paul Kennedy #AUS 9855
  7. I don't know if I could do better... But it couldn't be any worse. 60 seconds in penalties <insert crying emoticom> Oh the humanity.. Or is it, the humility.. edited kaws my anglish ain't to good.. Bubber you were not the only person to cop some penalties on stage 2. I stuffed it up shooting Open as well. I did shoot the match again with the Limited gun a coupe of weeks later to redeem myself. Come on Bubber try again, you can't let that one bad stage get the better of you. Pk
  8. Hi Guys, its not too late, you have up to the 30th of June to shoot this match. Download the 4 stages from the ICORE web site and join in. The results should be out end of next week. If you have already shot the match you are welcome to shoot it again to see if you can do better. Pk
  9. Yes Gary there will be more postals. The results for the 2nd Aussie and the new match sould be out early July. It will be interesting to see how this ICORE sub forum works out. I suspect once we all get into the groove of checking it, all will be fine. Pk
  10. Rodney, yes send it back to the factory for repair. Unless you have the jig, reamers and counterbore then its a factory repair job. At work we repair/service thousands of revolvers a year and get between 5-10 with broken trigger studs a year. These are usually on high use range/training revolvers. I suppose it is forums like this where you discover the frequency of trigger studs shearing off. I have never broken a trigger stud on one of my own revolvers however I did shear off the hammer stud on my V comp a few years back. pjk
  11. ffl, you have a great IRC, I enjoyed shooting with your squad last year, I hope to get back there one year for another go. regards PJK
  12. Mark, I would have loved to have been there. however we have a 2 day ICORE State Title match at Bendigo. I promise I'll get over there again one day for match. Regards PK
  13. I don't mind running these postals just so long as you guys enjoy them and keep shooting them. Sorry about the prone stage in the 1st match, I forgot that it was winter in the USA as opposed to summer over here. Regards PK
  14. Hi guys, we had about 160 shooters compete in the 1st match for this year. Results can be seen at www.icore.org The match package for the 2nd postal match can also be downloaded from the site. Hope you enjoy the stages. Regards PK
  15. Mark congratulations to you and your wife on the addition. Job well done. You can sign him up as a junior ICORE member. Glad to hear you can still find some time to do some practice. Regards PK
  16. My understanding is, if the target completely dissapears without the shooter engaging it then he is penalised only for the misses. He does not recieve a penalty for failure to engage. The stop plate he engeged from BoxA instead of Box B would recieve a procedural penalty. PK
  17. Hi Gary, glad you enjoyed the match, you have plenty of time to practice before the next one. Underlug, a few of us shot the match a couple of times, on different dates, some shooting the same division others swapping divisions. It was a challenge for me shooting limited I kept drifting back to both eyes open and got 3 misses on one stage. I have great respect for anyone that shoots Limited. The Brit, glad to have you along for future postals however I don't envy those 24" revolvers you have to use. PK
  18. There were a record number of 352 shooters for this match representing the USA, Australia and Switzerland. The top 30 outright are listed below. Full results for this match can be found at www.icore.org If you did not shoot this 2006 match then think about the 2007 match later in the year. 19. Mark, don't worry about regionals just yet. Still waiting on a score from you for the international postal. PK
  20. pskys2 The overall results for this postal should be out 1st or 2nd week in January. As for the free entry idea for the IRC for the top 10 in each division. Personally I think it a great idea, I might suggest it to Nelson. But on the other hand, would you really want another 20 Aussies at the IRC. Merry Christmas Regards Paul Kennedy
  21. The 2006 ICORE International Postal Match is still running. You have until the 31st of December to shoot it and get the scores back to me. Over 300 revolver shooters have shot it so far. Details can be found at www.icore.org Regards Paul Kennedy

    Irc 2007

Mike, I'm sure you will enjoy the IRC. I shot my first one this year, great match, great people. As has been mentioned, start practicing "Far & Near", it certainly pays off. If you have not shot the ICORE International Postal Match yet then why not give it a go. PK
  23. Mark, I believe Townsville was a great match. I'm looking forward to WA next year. The final postal for this year is the International match. Download yourself a copy from the ICORE web site and get together with a few of your buddies over there and shoot the match. Regards PK
  24. Mark, there is a steel match at Bendigo in November, you may be interested. I'm sure they'd welcome you. Its not too far for a one day match.!! Don't forget to shoot the ICORE International Postal Match this year. Regards PK
  25. Hi guys thanks for taking part, the results are attached. We plan on running 3 Aussie postal matches again next year if you would like to take part. Regards Paul Kennedy Aus #9855 Results_ICORE_Aus_Postal_3rd2006.u.pdf
