  1. Yeah, thanks all. I think I will have to give them a call. Also tomorrow I will check if I installed the sprocket in the right holes.
  2. As for the indexing not coming all the way down to engage cases, I think I might have installed the index bar and sprocket in the wrong holes. Anyone?
  3. Thanks Hogrider. However, my tablet is different than the one shown in the manual. I must be blind, but I don't seem to find the slot for the card.
  4. Installed the thang. Looks good and runs. However, ran a single case and the top of the tool head does not come down enough to touch the case. Any ideas? Also, the tablet came with an SD card, but I don't see where this is inserted in the tablet. Any ideas? I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions as I go along...thanks guys
  5. What happens here in FL, especially in the summer, is that its so hot that in addition to the bag you also need a cooler with drinks, a fan etc. So not only you need a roomy bag, but also cart wagon to haul all that s**t.
  6. Thanks David. Decided to get another dedicated powder measure which has a totally different powder for minor. Also all my measures have that quick release. I love that thang.
  7. My Czechmate won't even cycle with an 8lb spring, for the most part. Slide wont go all the way forward into battery.
  8. never mind. Just came back from the range and these loads are way below minor and a couple barely over.
  9. Developing a load between 5.5 and 6.3g of HS6 to get minor for steel matches. Using a 115 projectile. Thinking of an 8lb recoil spring. Anyone with a Czechmate had to develop similar loads and has had to go down to an 8?
  10. thanks baker. I guess that's a much economical option than buying another measure.
  11. Trying a minor load for steel matches where having a Major PF is not needed. Yeah, if AA7 doesn't work, may have to go to HS6 or WAC.
  12. I think I will try the minor load with the comp on. Really don't want to remove it. And, yes, this minor load would be for action steel matches. Thanks. So based on your results with a 125 grainer, I'm thinking I could start at 7 grains of AA7 and work my way up.
  13. Philma, thanks for the advice. I have some WAC and HS6 I can try. My gun did not come with a second barrel, but did come with an adapter to put on when I remove the comp. I was hoping to keep the comp, though.
  14. Thanks Joe. Trying not to change the entire tool head as I am loading on a 1100 and it gets pretty costly. Maybe I can get a separate measure. Just remove the top hopper assembly, leave the die and funnel and replace the hopper with the new one. Not sure why, I thought AA7 would be a good powder. Will look into it.
  15. I load major in my 1100 with AA7. Thinking of developing a minor load with same bullet (115) and powder. I’m thinking I would only need to change powder charge for minor. Question, would I need to change OAL and seating depth as well? Also, would you change the entire powder measure for one dialed to minor and have two powder measures or would you adjust the knob back and forth between minor and major?
  16. Found nothing specific on this gun plus AA7 for minor. But I am currently shooting 10.3gr of AA7, over 115gr CMJ, loaded to 1.165" with a 10lb spring, yielding 169 PF. I'm now looking for some feedback on a minor load (125-164PF) with a czechmate and same bullet and powder. Also looking for advice of recoil spring weight. Thoughts??
  17. If I power through it, will the thunk go away eventually?
  18. Ok. So I changed the powder funnel to the one from DAA MBF and now the bullets don’t tip when indexing but I am having a BIG clunk from the funnel. Now I understand why so many of you were telling me to check it before. It wasn’t sticking with the other funnel but the bullets were tipping. Now the bullets are not tipping but big clunk. How can I remedy this?
  19. Ya, I'm using the Hornady case lube.
  20. Great advice hogrider. Will try a redding die. Boomstick, I also cleaned the sizing die but notice the hang up was still there.
  21. Ahh Not sure. Probably around 5k. Let me pose another follow-up question, for resizing I am using the Lee U die. So when the case is coming out of the die you feel not just the regular friction, but like a thunk that you feel at the handle. Could this be sizing sleeve? That "thunk" was felt in two places originally: the crimp die (which is solved) and the U sizing die. Even with lubed cases I feel it.
  22. Thanks. Will incorporate that into the case prep process
  23. Good point. I get so used to not lubing pistol brass, that I should try it...
