I corrected the flare. Also cleaned the crimp die and the press operation is much smoother. Still a little hang up coming, from what it seems, the sizing die. So I took it apart and cleaned it and lubed it. Still a bit of hang up but not much. May have to contact Dillon to make sure is not something mechanical like the lower bearing assembly.

Yes I think I might be flaring too much. Will correct that!!

So you are expanding/ flaring twice? Can you tell which funnel I have? I really don’t remember. Maybe the one that came with MBF?

Yeah the clunking was before primetime...

Cleaned it very recently, but not the dies....will try cleaning them, but specifically the crimp die. Hogrider, thanks for the detailed response. Will def try that.

hum, now you me thinking ddc! But I think that funnel has a flare to it.

It’s once fired. But it doesn’t seem to be coming from that

I am feeling like there’s something problematic in my 1100 when actuating the handle. Whenever I reload and have a full shellplate as I move the handle down everything works smoothly. However as I slowly bring it up, it moves a few inches and it stops and I have to force it up making a clunk sound and I feel resistance somewhere in the press. I am able to reload fine but this clunk got to go. Any ideas?

Check this out. Finally decided on 10grs of AA7 over a 115g Everglades RN CMJ. Used a 10lb recoil spring and loaded to 1.165" COAL. This load felt, to me, the best on my hand and provided the least amount of felt recoil and the flattest. This load is around 169PF.

Well, finally decided to go with 115gr everglades bullet over 10g of AA7 at 1.165." This makes 169 PF and I'm comfortable with that. Seems like the best for my Czechmate. Next will load some and tune for recoil spring.

zzt, which powder? AA7 or SWorld? Also were you shooting a Czechmate?

And what gun where you using? Czechmate?

Thanks for posting the chart really breaks it down. Next round of testing…. Have isolated the 115g bullet as the best for my taste/hand. Also decided that AA7 is the best powder. Now with the new Chrony and same brass headstamps I will perform a righteous real test of Speed. Will be testing loads from 9.7 to 10.4grs AA7. 10 rd strings to determine the correct PF. In prior tests, I was using mixed brass and was giving me incorrect data and pressures. Also in prior tests I liked how some loads felt but I suspect they were in the 166 PF level and it’s too close for confort. After this (nth) test I will chose the best load and pressure and select one and then tune the recoil springs.

Ok, so today I went back to the range for another round of tests. Seems like I'm spending so many bullets and powder just in testing!! It's crazy. Ok, to the point, I used my Czechmate with AA7 in all loads and loaded up to 1.165". Mixed brass. 124gr CMJ: I tested 9-13lb springs on loads of 9.7gr, 9.9, 10, 10.2. 115gr CMJ: Tested same springs with charges of 9.8 &10g. Attached a video I made of the results even with slo mo. I will chrono the best combinations of powder and recoil spring at a later date. Please please provide me feedback as to what you think the best combination is, based on the video. I am too close to it and have begun to think they are all the same!! lol
