  1. I hope mine gets shipped soon, but at the same tie, worried it will be in vain if I will have issues with the powder dispenser. Is it a given that "everyone" is having or had issues with them or is it just a few people?
  2. It not only saves money. It saves a headache (time and resources) of having to hunt down every single place they would have to update the information! One source, one place, one time! No need to be active in 20 forums and have a dedicated person to clarify information, answer questions, etc. You get the info you want straight from the horse's mouth. Pretty sure this was part of their process life cycle from the get-go. Simple and effective.
  3. Please update the thread with your impression once you receive it and spend some time with it. It may convince some of us that are still on the fence about it.
  4. Sarge: Not talking me out of anything, no worries. I saw your post about the funnel and I actually may jump on your offer. Give me a few hours and I'll get back to you on that. About the roll-sizer, I agree with you. If I am not going to get any other benefit (that I can somewhat achieve already) from it, I am not spending that much. There are other goodies (unfortunately, more expensive) that I can put that money towards to. Who knows, maybe down the road.
  5. Can you validate there is no typo in your achieved OAL? I would not be happy if I get 14 thousand or 2 hundred of a difference from my target OAL. I know 5 thousand are OK, but usually, anything over that drives me nuts.
  6. Thanks Sarge! Just as I suspected. I'll just save my money and just buy more brass and/or bullets. Haha For now, I am just using FC, Win, Speer, Rem brass. All other is separated in different 5gal buckets.
  7. Apologies for my ignorance on the subject. Besides bringing the case back to specs, would roll sized cases coupled with a Mark7 press yield more consistent OAL throughout mixed brass? I currently sort brass by headstamp, just use 3 of them and there is a (significant?) OAL difference between the three, and the obvious plenty of bulged cases that wouldn't pass the Hundo case gauge. If I can get all the other brass headstamps to easily achieve similar OAL by roll-sizing and using the U-Die, FCD and M7, would be great. This being said, I now use a U-die and a Lee FCD that helps some with the bulging, though it will never be the same as a roll sizer. I guess I am trying to find out (perhaps justify?) if there are additional benefits by getting one. FYI, I only reload 9 and 5.56
  8. Yes Sir! I just want to make sure the workbench + full Evo Pro fits OK under my work space.
  9. Can anyone please let me know height of an Evo Pro from base to top? Looking to replace my workbench but I am limited in height.
  10. Problem solved - Removed the safety and I was able to properly seat the left leaf. Thanks for the tips.
  11. Well, if that was the case I wouldn't be able to move the trigger. I can... which leads me to believe there is an issue with leaf spring not properly seated.
  12. I'll give it a try when I get home tonight and report back.
  13. I did not install a new beavertail. I am using the exact parts I disassembled, except the trigger. It is a new gun as well, so I may end up sending it back to STI if I can't figure it out.
  14. I just replaced the grip on my STI 2011 Marauder. I believe the sear spring leaf is correctly installed, but I think something is obviously not right. I am able to cock the hammer, but when I press the trigger, it will not fall down. I watched several videos, none of which have a real close up. Just trying to understand what could be mechanically going on. Suggestions?
  15. SmithCity: Which caliber? Did you receive a call from M7 to confirm your order or shipping label just popped up in your inbox? They are ramping up! "Coming Soon - M7 will take over the reloading scene!"
  16. RGA: So what are your thoughts about the results for rifle loading? For pistol, it is perfectly fine, for rifle blasting ammo, it is also OK, but for a precision rifle, I would not be happy.
  17. I think that's OK for a pistol load. I know there will be a few that will not be satisfied, especially those coming from "The Blue Press" where they may have had more consistent results.
  18. Agreed, however, I have re-read many pages and it seems most of the issues (with probably 2 exceptions) are related to setup. I am pretty sure everyone of the manufacturers went through a similar process when they release their products. Heck, we know of some that have not even taken care of well know issues with their products! I understand no one wants to wait for a product (especially after they have our money for over 1 month) but we have to realize a couple of things: 1) R&D for a brand new product takes time. 2) Any changes and modifications to fix any issues that arises takes even more time and sometimes require a halt in production. (I believe this was shortly true with the Evo). 3) They don't do the machining in-house (that I am aware of) and rely on third party contractors. This can hugely impact quality and timelines. (I also believe this was the case with the Evo) 4) Pretty sure Jay and the team were not expecting the overwhelming success with these two product releases. (There are a LOT of things behind the scenes to make this go smooth) I am in no way associated with Mark7, don't know Jay or anyone over there, and as everyone else, still waiting for my Evo Pro. For those still deciding if they should get this product, it is not rocket science: 1) Are you tired of all the headache and issues with your existing gear? 2) Do you need a higher volume output of ammo? 3) Will this make your reloading faster, more enjoyable or meet any other reloading needs for YOU? 3) Do you want a better quality product? 4) Are you willing to deal with the usual issues that may arise with a new product development and release? 5) Can you afford and/or are you willing to pay for such cost? 6) Do you want one just because? I can add a lot more things in this list. You need to make your OWN list to get your answer. Dang.. this is the longest post in awhile. Maybe I just needed to vent after my unfortunate car accident last night!
  19. BillR1: I was taking a look at the new Romeo1 - Do you have it? Any comparisons to an RMR or DPP? I plan on IDPA/USPSA and some steel. Short distances up to 30 yards. My vision has started to present some challenges for 15+ yards.
  20. Thanks for the info. In such case, I'll pass on it and just get the new Staccato.
  21. Sorry if this has been discussed in the past, but I couldn't find specifics. I am trying to decide if an STI DVC 3Gun should be my next purchase. (Mostly IDPA & some USPSA). I believe I read somewhere that It does not fit the box due to the beavertail? Otherwise, I think I will just try the STI Staccato (and carry it) and call it a day.
  22. Tanks: I believe you have written a few references to this, but I am too tired to do a search right now. Do you still believe a two pass process is the better option to avoid issues or do you think that a one-pass with sorted brass should be OK and without issues?
  23. Tanks: What about when the next hurricane comes in or a long winter? We need to keep busy doing something if there is no power! ? That's when the handle will come in "handy". (Sorry, I couldn't help it LOL)
