  1. Must say I didn't jump on the JM pro til this year. and Mossberg has obviously made all of the updates on their current on the shelf 930 jm pros because I absolutely love mine!! 24" 9+1 with Or3gun follower and forearm retainer, added a taccom matchsaver and that's all I've done besides some stippling and she runs like a beast!! 1200 fps shells and let her eat! Soft shooting and I haven't had any issue with POA/POI as I've heard with some people that jumped on the Jm pro in 2013-2014.

    Gen 3 or Gen 4

I did just start reloading but plan to jump to a nicer press. i currently have lee 9mm and .40 dies so i would invest in maintaining both calibers and adding .223/5.56 with whatever set up i end up buying. thanks.

    Gen 3 or Gen 4

Marshal, the 17/22 at 4.5" is another .5" on top of my current platform ( xd service ) which I have noticed a big difference in shooting.. like I said I went into this not liking the comfort of a glock. however I've noticed how much more precise and accurate I am with the platform. Because I have some grip shaping and stippling experience now, I'm confident I can adapt the glock to my liking so I'm rather set on going 5.3" with the 34 I have lost interest in 17/22 and have pretty much decided on 34. Just keeping an open mind as to the option and versatility of the 35. Thanks.

    Gen 3 or Gen 4

I think I've pretty much narrowed it down to gen3 34 maybe 35.. stopped into my LGS to check out the 34 and compare it between the 17 as I've had a very hard time deciding on going 4.5 or 5.3". I was also looking at 35/22 . What are the opinions on going 35 and getting the 9mm conv. barrel since I will be using this for 3 gun I'm not concerned with uspsa legality as it does not pertain to my situation. By the way the feel of the long slide is really nice and I can see how one could get used to that. especially jumping from a 4" gun. Thanks for the feedback!!

    Gen 3 or Gen 4

So if I had the option to get a gen 4 at the $500 dollar range I should do that vs. a gen 3?
  6. Tony, Perfect!!! that essentially was my question. if I went to a rifle length buffer system would I need to change my gas system. Thanks a ton!

    Gen 3 or Gen 4

I'm not a huge glock person but will be buying a g34 for 3 gun. My question for you experienced glock folks is what gen is better. I understand many people like the adjustable backstraps on the gen 4 but mechanically is either one more reliable or better than the other? Thanks!
  8. Biglou I do not have an adjustable gas system. would this be any issue.
  9. So I'm still loving this gun. I will be dropping down to see if she will cycle 1175's or 1150's. She cycles 1200fps shells no problemo. I received my Or3gun follower and forearm retainer it really brings the forearm closer to the receiver a significant amount. I did some very minor port opening and will hit it a little harder when I get more range time and get it more dialed to where I want more opening. As far as lifter, does anybody know the material?? I can fab and have run CNC machines for 6 years however I do not want to machine one I just want to weld this one up and I will probably mill it smooth than sand or file it. Thanks guys!
  10. Bravo Thanks for the reply!! you ran this set up with a mid length system did you notice any difference between the rifle length buffer with skeleton vs carbine and magpul? thanks
  11. Boxer, Thanks! My reason in asking this is that I simply want to get rid of my adjustable stock and go to the fixed ACE skeleton. So I was wondering if I would be able to do that without any side effects. Wasn't looking for noticeable differences as I'm completely happy with it right now. though I will probably end up changing a lot more in the future.
  12. I have a JD machine tech Veld upper. it has a low pro .750 gas block mid length system. If I wanted to go to a rifle length buffer system to ditch my magpul stock/carbine buffer and get the ACE skeleton would I need to reconsider my gas system and jump to a rifle length system with 18" barrel? Or does the buffer system/length irrelevant of the gas system when making a change like this? I built the lower and purchased the complete upper through JD. I absolutely love the gun but the more I'm getting serious about 3 gun I'm also learning exactly what I'm looking for in my rifle. the precision and shooting out of it is awesome I'm more than happy with the gun just looking to get it set up the way I want now that I know which direction I'm headed. Thanks for your guys expertise!
  13. I would ASSUME this ^^ once again I say ASSUME haha as I have never used an ACOG, however have been taught in the realm of .223 5.56 that a 50/200 yard zero is most efficient. you would then be 1 inch high at 100 and there of .5-1 inch low at 300 and your 50 yard and 200 yard would be dead on. Can anyone confirm this by the way?? it's always worked for me red dots and scopes. but now that I've dropped big money on my first quality glass I'd like to know at what distance most people sight in.
  14. I ordered one of their matchsavers in blue last Thursday and was so close to ordering this as well for my JM Pro but with the flare at the end of the lifter how will these work? BTW the guys at Taccom are awesome I'm in CA and it will be here today. Same goes for Logiztix and the guys at Or3gun!! 2-3 days. Today will be like a mini Christmas when I get home from work haha.
  15. I have it mounted on the Burris P.E.P.R mount and it's slightly tall but I've got it set to where it's a natural sight when I lift my gun. I'm extremely pumped on this scope and HIGHLY recommend it!!
  16. Hey all I'm very pleased with this optic!! Unbelievably clear has off on the illumination dial between each power. Illumination at 6 is easily visible in daylight. It's an awesome scope!!!
  17. Haha I just might. With the piston/gas system being an issue on jm pros I really think this could be an easy solution as it serves a very identical purpose on other things.
  18. you know what really chaps my a** ... this forum!!! all the good stuff is locked and I cant laugh and post along with you guys.
  19. I thought it was that CA bullet button that made them fully automatic.... sheesh I've had it wrong this whole time and I live in Commiefornia!!
  20. Hey all, Not sure if this is the right area to put this in but I'm curious at getting some opinions on this process. Naturally coming from the motor world, motorcycles, trucks, offroad cars etc... This process has come about recently and we have all of the gears cryo-heat and micro polished. This process is supposed to harden ( reduce wear ) as well as allow for smooth engagement of different aspects of a motor. It also drastically lowers friction thus reducing temperatures. For example a pair of sprockets were done and went 900 miles nearly wear free. crank and bottom end gears were done and an engine case was busted loosing oil and the motor when pulled apart showed very little signs of excessive heat. Long story short have any of you experimented with this process in firearms? I was initially thinking barrels, than the piston set up in my new 930 jm pro came to mind than I started thinking of how beneficial this could be for many aspects of a firearm.
  21. it's slightly heavier I tried one on a friends gun. have also tried the strike eagle and was going to buy one until I tried the Athlon. it's awesome. I will have mine mounted and sighted this weekend I will give a review asap! it's more expensive but in my honest opinion should be priced upwards of 800-1000 for the quality. so clean and crisp and with both eyes open I had clear and perfect picture through every power 1 through 6.
  22. I agree! exactly why I went with the Athlon over the MTAC30 and strike eagle. and unbelievably crisp glass. the reticle was also much cleaner and the lines not as thick so IMO it's a lot cleaner.
  23. if you can get your hands on and look through an Athlon 1-6 you might change your mind! at the price of 550 it's well worth it. as it was like looking through thousand dollar glass

    Glock porn

Who did the SC on this ??? looks awesome
  25. at 400-500 I would definitely check out the Athlon Midas 1-6. I'll be picking it up this weekend!! it's unbelievable.
