Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I was going through a video review and comparison of TSO, TS2 O, and Combat Master. The guy measured the slides and TS2 O was longer than TS2 by 0.25" (8" vs 7.75"). Its the angular rear that is making the difference. No difference in functionality, just aesthetics. Now, need to know the original question...will the TS2 slide mate perfectly with S2 frame in terms of over hang in the rear part..
  2. That is what I want to find out. If the TS2 have a different angle in the rear and over hang out back compared to the TS1, or if they are the same.
  3. I too have two of the CTS models, both on sp01 shadow frames and TS slides. Looking to build a CTS'2' with the new TS 2 slide on a Shadow 2 frame. Not sure if they fit exact in the rear, or need machining of the frame in the rear like on a bull shadow 2. The frame and slide will have to be milled/machined/filed in the dust cover area and the slide rails in either case.
  4. Thank you Stuart. I believe you meant a TS 2 upper on the S2 lower..as thats what I am looking forward to. Thanks.
  5. It would be for bragging rights only! I shoot a bit of bullseye precision every once in a while at my club though, but thats just about it.
  6. That is why I need opinion here on how the TS2 slide fits on S2 frame. It seems no one has done one yet. @eerwmight probably be the best person to know about this. the older TS slides will have the S2 frame overhang.
  7. Yes, but the TS slide fits on standard CZ 75 frames with a bit of material removal from the dustcover internal area of the frame, and some light sanding on slide rails. The TS slide is too wide in dust cover area, as well is wider in the rails area that fit in the frame. Some careful sanding/filing results in excellent slide to frame fit.
  8. Has anyone done this? The slide will be longer than the Bull Shadow 2 offering from CZ Custom. I have the SP01/TS hybrid, and am interested in getting the '2' version, probably build it, or get it built by CZ Custom. Would like to see what it exactly looks like if anyone already has one.
  9. It does have porting on the top. And since the slide is a bit sluggish, it does some work alright, but probably the slow cycling gives perception of higher muzzle rise.
  10. Sorry for the multiple posts, but file size limit made me upload one pic at a time. This is a lone wolf 9mm compensator on long slide CZ. Frame is SP01 shadow, slide is TS, barrel is from CZC, threaded TS barrel. The comp fits and functions fine. I only got it for looks and plinking. I shoot factory ammo with 13# recoil spring, and it functions and cycles flawlessly. Not sure if it actually reduces any felt recoil or muzzle climb, as my other similar build (without threaded barrel) feels nearly the same. The slide travel during recoil does feel a bit sluggish, perhaps needs major ammo or an even lighter recoil spring?
  11. I would also check the pre-travel screw first, as mentioned in above posts. Need to increase pre-travel. This is related to trigger no resetting. If the over travel is so set that the trigger cant travel back far enough, that can be another reason. Need to increase over travel. This is related to trigger not going back enough to activate sear and release hammer, although it did reset.
  12. I have used the CZC threaded barrel, which is about 0.7" longer than std TS barrel, on the standard bushing. It fits the TS, as well as SP01 without issues. The SP01 is about 1.2 to 1.4" difference, I am not sure exactly, but it functions just fine. Cant be sure about the 1.4" longer version on the TS.
