  1. I have been hooked on this forum and these CZs for a while now and am wondering what makes the shadow a shadow. I know the difference from the shadow as far as the manual safety and no fire pin block. Is there any other major differences? I ordered the shadow from CZC, part number 91154 and am second guessing if I would have been better off just ordering a CZ 75 SP01. Also, some of the other shadows I have seen have a stainless barrel, mine came all black? I know the color doesn't matter but can someone enlighten me on the differences.
  2. I have ran 2.9gr win231 with bayou 160's at 1.145, made 126 pf and was the softest I have felt out of a g34. Also tried the 160 bayou with 2.7 Ramshot, I didn't chrono that load but was not near as soft as the 231 load. Both loads ran 100 percent reliable.
  3. Thank you for all the replys, I am going to give some extreams and the lucky13's 147s a try as well. Has anyone had good luck trying the extreme 165 plated bullets. I'd like to work up a soft shooting 160/165 load for steel. The powders I have on hand are wsf, Ramshot comp, 231/hp38, and tightgroup.
  4. I have never tried these but I may have too. thank you.
  5. I am looking to see who has the best deals on berry's 147gr rn. I found some on Slickguns a while back but want to see if you guys out there know of any other good sites to order from.
  6. What 12glocks mentioned was one thing I was wondering about, that just cycling by hand would be different than the gun cycled by the shot. I'll keep loading them about where I have been and maybe a little longer up to 1.15 and see how they run.
  7. Thank you guys for the responses, I have a few more loads with some different powders I want to make up and i'll see how they work. thanks again.

    Max COAL g34

I am relatively new to the game and just getting into reloading. I found tons of information on what load data to start with but a lot of the time they do not list what gun they are shooting their load out of. Wanted to see if you guys can save me some time and let me know the max OAL you get by with from a gen4 G34 shooting stock barrel. I have two test loads worked up of tightgroup 3.0gr and 3.2 at 1.135 COAL berry's rn 147's. I cycled a few through by hand and had one hang up. They all plunk test in the barrel and test case fine.
  9. ok thank you guys for the input, I'll keep my eyes open.
  10. I have found a used STI edge that has extended mag release, 5 mags (all 126's) and a dawson Ice mag well. Problem is it is on consignment and the gun shop will not allow me to contact the original owner to find out any specifics. It looks fairly clean but hard for me to tell how much use it has had. they have it listed for 1650.00 I know Dawson had one the other day with 50 rounds through it all stock for about the same price with 1 mag. Do you think it would be better to just wait and spend the extra on a new Brazo's edge or pursue this one if I can get them to ask the Original owner the questions and relay the info back to me.
  11. Thanks for the advice, Im curious how to move it forward or backwar when the connector fits in a slot on the ejector housing. Where do you make the bend? I moved it in and out a little to get a better feel but i never thought of moving it toward the trigger. Dregarcia may be right though, I was concentrating so hard to pull straight back I was using the tip of my finger.
  12. I have a Zev connector on a gen 4 g34 with 4lb striker and 13lb ISMI recoil spring. It dropped my trigger pull substantially from stock and has a really crisp break. My question is can a break be too crisp? When I dry fire I concentrate on pulling straight back but when it breaks I pull to the right slightly (I'm right handed).

    Sig P320

Cycles through the gun will clean it up some. It's also normal for a striker fired gun to do that, they all do. The striker assembly is held in place by a striker release plate, when that tension is released, slides move. I've seen it in every striker fired gun, every. I finally had a chance to take the 320 out for a test ride today. After the first 15 or so rounds I shot for some groups and at 17yds I was able to put 5 almost all touching off a rest. Mine seems to be as accurate as they say and I was thoroughly impressed. I cannot remember what my g34 felt like stock but the 320 did seem to have a lot more snap than my 34, but after I got more used to it the sites settled well. I think I will like this gun when I can play with it some more. I tried to make it fail by running a few mags as quick as possible with cheap monarch ammo. The gun was 100 percent. I was only able to get 16 in the mag though, I didn't take the second mag out to try and see if I can fit 17 in it or not.

I picked up a fs 9 320 from Kentucky gun co. They have excellent customer service for an online gun store btw. Other than the price my first impression hasn't been what I expected. Maybe because the hype on the threads is so high my expectations may have been too high. The trigger feels very gritty and not impressive to me, the reset matches the hype and is very nice. When I dry fire the back of the slide raises 1/16" or more. Is this common? I hope some range time changes my initial opinion.
  15. I'd like to watch them fall. I was thinking of a design like tonythetiger posted a link too. Thanks
  16. I shoot in my backyard it will be stationary
  17. Thanks guys, I have about 2000 cases right now from my Glock so I'll make sure to lube them and see how it works out.
  18. Does anyone out there have any plans or good pics of a plate rack they have built? I have 12 8x8 plates and wanted to make a 6 plate plate rack.
  19. I am setting up my newly acquired 650 and wanted to know your thoughts on reloading casings fired from a stock barrel Glock 34. I have been reading a lot of posts about how loose the tolerance is on the stock Glock barrels. Since I will be new to reloading pistol will the expansion of these cases fired from a Glock be harder to reload? I was thinking of upgrading my barrel to a KKM but a lot of people say to just shoot stock, which is plenty accurate for my ability. With a KKM or tighter barrel will the casings be better for reloading, or is the expansion so minute that it will not matter?
  20. Thanks guys, I changed back to oem trigger spring and threw in a 13lb ISMI recoil spring and bammo, slow reset good every time. I'll get a 4.5 and 5lb striker spring on order just in case I have light strikes. Thanks again for the quick help.
  21. I wanted to upgrade my stock gen4 g34 trigger so I bought the Zev tech race connector and spring kit. Did the 25c polish while I was installing the new springs and connector. After I put it back together the first 10-15 dry fires felt great but continued to get worse the more I dry fired to the point it would hardly pull. I noticed the safety tab on the trigger seemed to not be resetting all the way out. Any idea what may be going on? i changed connector, striker spring to 4#, trigger spring 6#, and safety plunger spring.
