  1. I like both the P Match and the P Match Pro but both are still vaporware AFAIK.
  2. Just checked. Williams Firesights are not available for the Witness. So for adjustable sights, its either the LPA sights from EAA or these unless there are others I don't know about. http://www.crosman.com/optics/sights/lpa-mim-rear-sight
  3. The Witness steel is a great pistol but as many have said, the sights are lacking. I added the (expensive) LPA rear adjustable sight to my .45 ACP version, which helped me shoot more accurately. The LPA sight is good but I think you can get Williams Firesights for it. They are excellent all metal adjustable sights, reasonably priced and you get both front and rear. Happy Independence Day
  4. Purchased mine for $879.00 from TechNet Armory 2 years ago via Gunbroker. Looks like they are going up in price. (due to higher demand or shorter supply?)
  5. Decent Stock II prices at Tombstone Tactical. 9mm - $923.46 .40 S&W - $856.53 http://www.tombstonetactical.com/catalog/eaa/1911-witness-stock-2-pistol-9mm-4.5in-17rd-chrome/ http://www.tombstonetactical.com/catalog/eaa/1911-witness-stock-2-pistol-40-sw-4.5in-15rd-chrome/
  6. She is a Beaut for sure! Did you buy the new style grips, or did it come with it? Any reason you chose 45 over the 40? It came with the grips in the in the picture. .45 ACP is my personal preference.
  7. I just bought this pistol in .45 ACP. I don't complete with it; I just like the gun's looks, features and performance. I only had to adjust the LPA rear sight a few clicks up and to the left to get it on target. It came with a fiber optic sight but I haven't installed it yet. These targets are from 10 yards. The pistol is extremely accurate with 185 gr semi-wadcutter match ammo with minimal recoil. Standard 230 gr. loads are more pronounced in comparison. I had to purchase another mag and Henning Shop base plate so the mag would fit the mag well, butl I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It would serve as an outstanding competition, range gun or SD firearm.

Saw the news about its introduction at this year's SHOT show. Looks a lot like the Tanfoglio Stock III Xtreme without the rail at around the same price point. SAO trigger and ambi safety is nice. Could be a potential candidate for my safe. Just waiting to see how the street price levels out. Beautiful pistol.
  9. I'm sure EAA will make yours right. Purchased this one 17 months ago. Silky smooth, flawless operation. Checked the muzzle end at lockup. Barrel does not move.
  10. Got the base pad on the mag. It looks good and inserts into the magwell just fine. What is the function of the little set screw on the back of the base pad?
  11. Which base pad do I need to fit a K45 mag to my Elite Limited? The factory base plates are very nice but they are quite expensive. I'm most interested in those that fit nearly flush with the bottom of the mag well. Would this one work? http://www.speedshooter.com/product_detail.cfm?id=H141-TL-CLR&n=Henning-Tanfoglio-Large-Frame-Base-Pad--Silver
  12. I think the greatest benefit to IDPA is the feeling and eventual familiarization of what adrenaline dump feels like in a shooting situation. Then, the opportunity to think (especially), practice and improve your shooting in spite of it. You need to know what adrenaline feels like and how to function when it does.
  13. So I got my pistol in today in .45 ACP and its gorgeous. I removed the front post sight easy enough. When I tried to insert the fiber optic sight, it did not easliy fit into the dovetail. Hate to think I need to sand my brand new sight so that it fits into my brand new gun. That's wack. I love the gun and I definitely plan to do the silver Xtreme grips. Also got an 11 lb, 3.5 oz. recoil spting and a 12.5 lb. recoil spring. Not sure why I would use them since I fully expect the spring it has in it to work perfectly (+P loads maybe?). Please educate me... Being a lefty, I got totally robbed with the thumbrest being on left side instead of the right side where it BELONGS. But I'll live with it. Over the top with plusses vs. than minuses.
  14. My pistol is inbound. Are those Xtreme grips the Large size with magwell?
  15. Upgraded to Windows from 8.1 64-bit to 10 64-bit. Uneventful upgrade, operates flawlessly. They got ths one right.
  16. Elite Limited next. Tech Net is moving Tanfoglios as soon as he gets them Seem like Buds has better prices but I'll check with TechNet first.
  17. I think the Stock III looks incomplete with the standard hammer. So for cosmetic reasons, will the hart hammer work on the Stock III with no degradation in function? How difficult is it to change out? I'll probably end up sending it somewhere to get it done anyhow. I don't like jacking with it if I don't know what I'm doing.
  18. Gorgeous with the silver Xtreme grips. I want mine to look just like it.
  19. The rear sight on my Stock III is slightly off center to the right. I removed the two set screws and tried moving it with a brass hammer and brass drift punch. That sight is not moving. I just said screw it before I get something all jacked up.
  20. Also TechNet Armory on GB. It's where I just bought this.
  21. I will have a Stock III in hand probably in about a week. I'm already looking at sending it it off to J & L Gunsmithing for that Burnt Bronze and Sniper Black color combo. I love it. Its a beautiful pistol. Would also like to get a Hart hammer installed to make it look just the way I want. Probably won't do that until I put some rounds through it though. OTOH, maybe I might. : o )
  22. That Stock III looks awesome. Love that Burnt Bronze color. Who did that for you or did you do it yourself?
  23. Put them on my Stock II and yes I did have to open up the holes just a little. The round file idea is a pretty good one.
