  1. Purchased them in this order: 1. Witness Elite Match 2. Witness Steel 3 Witness Polymer 4. Stock II Next up: Stock III All .45 ACP, every one accurate and reliable.
  2. I own an Elite Match in 45 ACP. It's probably the most accurate pistol in the safe. Love the light, SA trigger, extended beaver tail and capability for C1 carry. If the pistol has a weakness, its the LPA adjustable sight. I ended up replacing it after it virtually came apart on me. After replacing it, however, this pistol has been a solid, reliable, performer.
  3. I put the Xtreme grips on my Stock II and it looks awesome. I took it to the range the other day and my accuracy with them has suffered a bit than when I was using the wooden grips. I suppose it's just a matter of getting used to the aluminum panels. I just think my hands are too big to use the Xtreme panels which make the grip very thin. As a test, I put the walnut panels back on the gun. I'll figure out which ones will stay on after the next range trip this weekend.
  4. That looks amazing. Congratulations.
  5. Used the Dremel tool on the screw heads. I got them to fit into the countersunk portion of the panels and into the frame without stripping the screw holes. With the new panels, the Stock II has sort of a 1911 feel to it. I like it compared to the stock wood panels.
  6. Trimming the screws is an option. I'm going to look for some properly fitting black hex screws before going that route.
  7. So I got the CZ grip screws from CGW and they still don't look right to me. They don't fit inside the countersunk portion of the grip panel. For these expensive panels to not come with the proper screws is totally jacked. The shoulder of the screw rides on the edge of the countersunk screw hole rather than inside the hole. That cannot be correct. I'm going to the hardware store to see if I can find ones that fit properly.
  8. I have the stainless CZ grip screws on the way. Thanks for the information.
  9. OK, I have the proper size Xtreme grips and they look great but the screws used for the wooden grips don't look correct. The screw head does not fit in the countersunk portion of the screw hole in the grip panel. Is there a different screw to be used with these grips? The look very nice (and expensive). I don't want to mess them up. Thanks.
  10. Check out Tombstone Tactical. It's where I purchased mine in 45 ACP NIB ] Checking their website, I notice that there are no 9MMs in stock but you can put yourself on a watch list to be notified when they are in stock. When I checked, they did have 10MM and .45 ACP in stock.
  11. When you say too small, what specifically is too small? Are they too short (magwell length), or do the screw holes not line up (small frame size), or are they just too thin for your preference? They are too short, custom (magwell) length grips. I specifically ordered Large Frame without Magwell from EAA in FL, no less. I provided the serial number, which they require, and this is what they sent me. I sent them an e-mail about the problem along with a picture of the pistol with the serial number visible. They are going to exchange them with the proper size in black. They are already on the way back to FL. Red is OK if the black is out of stock.
  12. I'm looking for the delete post icon but I do not see it. So mods, can you please delete Posts 16, 17, and 18? Sorry for my nOObness.
  13. I'm really confused. I just ordered and received some Xtreme grips for my Stock II. My order was was for a large frame, without magwell and they are too small. I'm sending them back. This is my pistol. Is the size I need Large Frame with Magwell?

  17. Just picked up this superb new addition about a month ago. I think I just about have it dialed in. I've been using my Match for the local bowling pin shoots but I think I'll give this one a try for the one coming up. The SA trigger pull is not as smooth as the Match, but this gun is as accurate if not more, so hopefully I'll do well. It's kind of nice cause most people have no clue what is it. No, its not a Glock, its not a Sig, It's not a 1911, its not a Dan Wesson or a Les Baer or a Nighthawk or any of those other high dollar guns. However, in the right hands, it arguably can hold its own with either of them. I'd like for those hands to eventually be mine.
  18. I just purchased a Stock II and I love the Xtreme grips. Is there a place to purchase them stateside or do they have to be ordered from Italy?
