And here one is. I like it but still bought a steel grip because I really liked my sv Imm and I want it to feel as close to that as possible. In the mean time I shot it some with the plastic grip and surprisingly didn’t think it was that harsh. Definitely feels light and I actually like it more than I thought I would. Steel grip with a. Stainless magwell is being fitted now though and I’ll get some time to compare. Probably will keep the steel grip on it for the softer gun.

I have no experience with aorsoft grips but looking at the picture it looks like it would need a lot of modding. The front grip screw slot looks like it isn’t really a slot and has a screw where a hole should be. Also the rear grip screw slots are not shaped the same where the grip would slide onto the frame.

People complain about how dirty it is. I honestly never really noticed a huge difference. Its dirty i guess. I used to shoot 1000 rounds in between cleaning and never had an issue. And my definition of cleaning is not very thorough.

I used to run it in my 9mm SV IMM with 115 gr. 10.5 at 1.165 -1.170 Made 169 PF. Same load out of my new to me Shorty Bedell makes 160PF so I will try 124s with this gun. I liked it much better than Autocomp/CFE Pistol. My favorite powder for 9major.

The problem is water getting on the lenses when waiting for the buzzer to go off. Shoot as fast as you want, you still have to wait for the buzzer. I’ll have to try the ping pong thing.

The daa shooting vest is actually really warm and functional at a match. Put hand warmers in the pockets and it keeps your core very warm. It Just looks really stupid imo but that hasn’t stopped me from wearing it yet. Every cold match I’m in that dumb looking vest.

But Out of the top 16 less than half are full sized guns. Maybe 4?

I thought he was talking about an island barreled open gun. Idk what a tribred is

Chris Tilley shoots what you’re describing. I’d say he’s one of the “pros”

I would love to tell you it's possible to do all the research, make an informed decision, and be happy with your gear, but that's not what Open is about
Because the possible combinations are nearly endless, my best piece of advice is to borrow/rent/buy a used setup for a few months and try it out. I've owned dozens of Open guns with barrel lengths from 5.6" to 4.1", no holes in the barrel to 12 holes, and they were all fun to shoot. I think the one in enjoyed the most was my Bedell Super Shorty: 4.4" barrel, three holes, Ti comp.It was fast, light and shot surprisingly flat for such a short gun. In the end I sold it because it was 38 super and I tired of chasing brass, now everything I own is 9mm.
Weight is also a big consideration, steel gripped mid-sized open guns are all the rage right now, but I prefer them a little lighter; 40-42oz without a mag seems to be about right for me.
You ever play around with steel grips on your bedell? I grabbed the one that came up last week, pretty much the same as yours and I’m tempted to throw a steel grip on it. I’m chasing the feel of my sv imm I sold a short while ago. I haven’t even shot the bedell yet lol just wondering if you ever went steel grip route with The bedell

Ive had an SV and an Evo, haven't held or owned an E2 grip though. The SV was certainly thinner than the Evo. But i liked the feel better of the SV and the real benefit I thought was the shape of the mag release. I wish others had the ambi cut mag buttons because I don't like huge mag buttons and the elongated shape of an ambi mag button allows me to not really need a long or bulky mag button.

I ran these at an area match with Troy being the guy at chrono. Dropped into box fine (close but fit) with no modification and put on a scale and passed

It would be a lot. Front and back. My Romeo 3 came in and I was looking at what it would take. The rear portion would need to be fully taken down and the front would need to lose almost 1/4”. You could probably still mount the rear sight but it would no longer hook in like it does. Only the two screws would hold it on. Which I don’t think would be a problem. It would just look dumb with a chunk in front of the sight plate missing.

Try going down to a 12, 11 or 10lb?
-
Defense ammo is like 145 Pf in some 147's ive recently grabbed. I dont think youre risking pressure too much with titegroup at 140pf
-
I’m getting a rear sight plate from sig so I will have the rear sight plate. I just don’t have it in hand right now. I believe the Romeo is significantly longer than the dpp
-
I guess I could just attack the red dot but it might be too much material to remove and I’m afraid it will mess it up.
-
I don’t want the added weight of the plate. Honestly I’m not sure how the rear sight mounts. Mine didn’t come with one. (Guy I got it from lost it.) I have a dpp and want to go to an rts2 /Romeo 3. The plates plus the dpp is heavy. I’d rather go directly to the slide if possible.
-
question for the crowd, Probably in the wrong place to get the best answer but still sig related, If i mill a slide to accept an rts2 or Romeo3 etc then go back to iron sights, there will obviously be some material missing in front of the rear sight plate. Is this gun still production legal with the iron sights on ?

Took the Hardware store trip with the boss in hand. Thread size is 10-32 FYI to any searchers.

I’m at the rmv and Google fu is failing me. Anyone know the screw thread sizes needed for the boss hanger system? I have the y plate attached to the holster and I need the screws to attach the hanger to the y including the 4 screws to hold the hanger to the belt. Anybody know the sizes? I plan on hitting the hardware store but left the hanger at home.

Just read through this open forum. You could read for weeks the threads started about this exact thing. Concerning loads, bad reloading, poorly tuned extractors, ejectors, a combination of x mount with x extractor set up. There are a lot of factors that play into any gun running. 9major seems to need more attention....sometimes it doesn’t.

Try loading your rounds to almost touch the rifling/leads or whatever the hell theyre called ?
