Received my Safariland 578 gls yesterday, seems to work great. I seems to have a bit of movement vertically ( still secure) is there a way to tension vertical movement?
-
Yeah well of course no one in USPSA has ever tried to game a match have they?
-
You did notice my comment was my opinion? First step is to try and fix the original if you can't then you speak to the RM and he will decide, I would hazard a guess if you haven't tried to get it running He will more than likely get you to work out what's wrong and if you CAN'T fix it He would let you swap.
-
Because it's not really broken is it, if you have the unserviceable part replace it. That's just my opinion though
-
From an IPSC perspective it would be preferable to fix the primary if possible first.

Bottom line: Changing firearms without permission (in advance) from the Range Master* is subject to disqualification under 10.6 (Unsportsmanlike conduct.) This is the same for both IPSC and USPSA matches.
*Note: The RM is the specific individual with the authority here, by rule. The RO lacks the authority to grant permission. As @ima45dv8 points out, there's a reason for this! If you're the RO and someone wants to change guns, CALL THE RM! If you find they changed guns and didn't have permission from the RM to so do, CALL THE RM! This is USLC folks ... Let the RM deal with it.
For IPSC what would you rule in regards to optic? Would the optic have to be the same brand, model or moa?

thanks, I have a holosun 509t mounted on the holosun plate for my X5 so its set back a touch so should work ok.

Purchase the holster for an XDM 9mm 5.25" gun. It works for my Sig P320 X5s. GLS 578 PF I believe.
I have one for my compact I would sell to you. The X5 will stick out of the bottom of the holster but it works great for compact and/or Full size 320s.
Let me know if you are interested.
Will this work with an Optic fitted?

Hi Guy's
I'm having a hard time getting any upgrade stuff for my Stoeger can anyone tell me what other brands fit such as Benelli? looking at bolt handle and scope mounts.
PS :- I'm in Australia so shipping is the main issue.
-
Thanks guys, looks like its an upgraded gun so no issues to worry about.

Hi Guy's
Just picked up a used (new) p320 has anyone got a picture of pre and post recall, I remember seeing a pic with the difference but can't recall what it is.
-
So if you know you're hearing a button being pushed and not the beep why are you starting? You start on the beep.
-
Its a real M3k, just limited to a straight pull single shot instead of semi auto by our govt gun laws
-
thats the hardest part no one wants to send stuff. No havent polished the tube yes but may do in the future

Why have two separate copyright notices on a target?
I'm not saying you're wrong, it just seems odd that there would be two copyright notices on a single target, unless the copyright notice is for the text following it on the target and not the target itself.
Why would there be a 2nd C zone inside the D zone?

I'm running mine in IPSC PODL
-
I run an Apex straight trigger set and get +/- under 2 kg not trigger pull tested but an agricultural 2 litre bottle of water, will use a trigger pull gauge at some point but I know its above the minimum.

Thanks Llando

the one Pete posted is correct

Pete - Maybe? I'm not sure. If it is, the only changes I can see between the 509TX2 and 509T-RD are that the 509T-RD has only two reticle options, circle+dot, and dot, and the mounting appears not use the RMR standard footprint. Everything else in that manual seems to check out as the same against the 509TX2 QRC. I'll wait until @terrydoc has a chance to clarify.
That is correct< Im surprised that the 509t isnt available there.
-
Correct IPSC is the same I just meant the rule is still in the book from that era.
-
Hi Mate
The 509t and the 509tx2 have different settings can you do a qrc for the 509t?

I’m unfamiliar with blade techs bolt pattern but if it’s universal to the boss hanger, then +1. Only recommendation is locktite. Since then, I’ve been very happy with the boss
Pretty sure they do a mount for both Bladetech pattern and a different one for Safariland. Or at least they used to.
