I thought the CMC was 10/22 only?

Not sure if we are talking different models, but I have been running a CMC 2.5 flat faced drop in trigger in my S&WMP15-22 for at least 3 years. Don't know if the PCC's are different.

  2. Depending on what barrel length you are looking for you can look on ebay for revolver barrels and there are a lot of 4inch and 6 inch and some 6 1/2 even an 8 inch What you would be looking for are what used to be called pencil barrels, they are considerably lighter than the full lug or slab sided barrels any of the 586/686 with the full lug would be to heavy  in my opinion. So a barrel for under $150 plus the switch out and resetting the barrel I would think you could have it done for under 7/800 or less if you have a friend in the machine shop that knows what they are doing. I have a friend that has done this on two different guns for me and they  work well for me. It may cost you more if you have OCD and have to have everything  match perfectly, but I can live with two toned/ pinto looking guns.LOL

  3. In my opinion these are better than speedbeezs they are from DS-10, Dave S. you could get them from revolver supply the springs are way better on these and not as ammo brand sensitive. And I've had the holster for years.

  4. This works with my GP100 10 shot and my 617.  Have to use specific speed loaders but the holster and speed loader holders work well for both. safariland 02 and Johnson precision on holders.

If I understand…..would running same gun with iron sights then optic help you.

I believe that he wants to run his ISR in LTD and then in ISR. The same for OSR and run the same gun in Open. To me it's just more trigger time with the same gun and I believe that it is legal to do so.

  6. I do use the McFaden loader, with that said, I can take the new mags that I'm having issues with and just put 10-15 rounds in or less, then grab the load assist and pull it down and it hangs up. I tried with out the load assist button and they seemed to be free except when I tried to run them they would still hang up. I have taken them apart and cleaned and tried dry and lubed with silicone dry spray and they still didn't work then I put in just the load assist button without the spring and follower and the button hangs up and sticks. My conclusion is that the mag body is just out of spect and are defective, getting one like that  I understand that things can happen, but when you get about 5 or 6 that do this and I have another friend that has had 2 of the black ones do the same thing. They got a smith return label and eventually got his replaced. I was going to do that after I ordered more replacements but some of the replacements had issues just the same. So I have several that are new and will not work, I will try to contact smith and see what they  have to say but not holding my breath that any they replace will work.

Just buy the Redi-Mag and be done with it.

No modifying mags. No hassle. It just works.

It looks like it will work to be able to use s&w mags in a standard ar-15, but that is not what I'm asking about I am using standard mp 15-22 mags in a s&w 15-22 not a mp 15. that adapter won't solve the problem I am having with the factory mags malfunctioning. But Thanks

  8. Is anyone aware of other mags  that are available that will work reliable in a 15-22 other than S&W factory mags. I didn't think that I would need anything but the factory mags, but several of mine have been used hard and the plastic feed lips are shot and I thought no big deal I would just replace them with more factory stuff. I have bought several of the black 25 rounders as well as several of the brown 25 rounders and over half of the new mags jamb and won't feed. the follower binds up in the channel even without any ammo in them. I tried two of them with out the load assist button and they still bound up and just the load assist button by its self will bind and stick with no ammo .

So I am hoping that I can find another alternative to us. I have several different versions of 10-22's but I personally like the 15-22 better.

Anybody ever try the SNS 220's? If so, what was your load data? I'll probably be using Clay's.

Bryan, are you locked in on the 220's and the clays? If not what I have had good results with are 180-185's and clean shot, 4.4 grains puts me at 173pf. Also auto comp, be86, hs-6, long shot all will work to make major pf with a 180 bullet. There is a bit of difference between plated and pc'd or hitek coatings, the plated run slower for me with the same powder charge.

  10. Lee does make a roll crimp die in 38 short colt and I have found that it works on my 9mm's for my 929 and as a side note they will work in my 1911's also. I have been using this same die for years and never switch it out when I go from 38sc to 9mm and back, I change sizing decapping dies and shell plates is all. Using pc'd 147/155 cast projectiles at OAL of 1.160.

  11. My 617 runs the factory hammer, extended firing pin/apex, a 11 lbs return spring and a wolf ribbed main spring, all internals smoothed and polished, it runs Federals, cci minimags, golden bullets and eley force with no problems the trigger pull is 7 1/2 to 7 3/4 it varies on a couple of cylinders.

SUMMER MATCH OPPORTUNITY FOR CENTRAL MEMBERS!!!
This summer, members/clubs in the Central Region will be able to shoot a 2023 Central Regional match at their local clubs as opposed to traveling to a host site. It will be open to members in Central states, any member who may be visiting one of those clubs, and possibly members in states adjacent to Central states.
    MATCH DIRECTORS, RULES, PRIZES
Jim Jensen and Tom Gehl of the Rockford Revolvers (IL) will serve as the Regional Match Directors. As usual, the current ICORE Rule Book applies, and winners of the Divisions and Special Recognition Categories will receive $$ awards.
    TENTATIVE PLAN: July 1 - September 3.
The 8-stage match will include the following: 6 regular stages + 1 classifier + chronograph. Instructions will go out in time for a July 1 start, and clubs will have until Sunday, September 3 to shoot the match. Club reps or local match directors will report their scores to the Regional Match Director by e-mailing (1) a spreadsheet of results, OR (2) the PractiScore results link. Stand by ....

The way that this sounded to me when I first read it a few weeks ago was that it sounded like they were running this like a postal match, but was calling it a central regional, and clubs in the central region had two months to set up the stages at their ranges and when completed submit the results.

If the BOD wasnt so clueless maybe they would look at the match results numbers and see how many arnt members,, and maybe ask a couple whys.

I wish that could/would happen but I don't think that they really care because when the club submits the results they have to pay for everyone that shot it, not just for the members  so it's not much of a lose for them [uspsa].

  14. I had two pairs made, one was with a front sight focus that I would use when shooting irons, then the other pair was my normal correction for distance when I was shooting my dot guns. I have a pretty cool Dr. he had me bring both guns in the office exam room and used them  to do the corrections. But I am in the process to do another Hunters HD with the progressive. I hope that then just the one pair will work for both. Going to try the Rubys this time instead of Gold.
