  1. Hmm valid point. I'm sure if the weight wasn't secured in some way it could come undone. I'll look on bb site again. I saw on Facebook he had a prototype together. Idk. Sounds odd but I'm sure I'll figure some way of getting it to work. I know the thumb rest mount attaches in a similar way so there's enough metal it drill n tap. I'll keep everyone posted on any progress. I just think it would be nice to have access to the countless 1911mounts available.
  2. i have ordered from him once and he was very nice to me and had quick shipping. im sure if i sent him an e mail describing my thoughts perhaps he could get me in the right direction. Perhaps even just mail him a mount n see what he thinks as far as mounting it. I did see his 90 mount prototype but idk when it will hit the market. I also looked into a 1913 rail extension for an ar that may be drilled and tapped I just like the idea of a bit of extra weight.
  3. Hmmmmm... Ok let's see. Anyone have a sjc frame weight and can give me some measurements? I need the height and possibly the thickness where it attaches just below the slide?
  4. Ok sooooo I've been drooling over a cheeley set back 90 degree c more mount.... My idea was get a sjc frame weight and drill n tap. Wam bam problem solved? I think??? Has anyone tried or heard of or seen anything close to this? Good idea bad idea? Going on a glock 22 in 9mm. Thinking with this set up I could use whatever 1911 mounts are all over the market. Any advice b4 dropping the $ to do this would be awesome.
  5. I love my pyramid trigger. I love the break and reset.
  6. Thank u for the heads up. I know my barrel has been throated a bit. I always do a drop test 1st to be sure they chamber and go into battery. Then come out to show clear
  7. Idk how they will feed just switching to plated. I know for RNL I was at 1.155 and they would fit n the mags n feed.
  8. I'll start w a 7.5 n see where I'm at. I've seen from 8 to 9.4 g running a g22-9 w carver 3 port.
  9. Ok good to know. Perhaps I'll hold onto it for 38 sup or find someone local w some hs-6 they may wanna trade. I'll keep looking n see what I can find.
  10. I just lucked out and got a 4# jug of vv3n38. I'm loading 9mm with #400 SRP and a 124g Xtreme hp Any help on a starting point would be awesome or if I'm waaaay off let me know n I'll save it for my 38 sup build in jan. Only thing vv has is for a 147g on there site. Also loading for a glock so Nothing over 1.15 Thank you
  11. Good to hear. ill do what i can to stay away from fed. i do reload but the range i have a membership to doesn't allow them so I'm sorta at a loss for now. there is an outdoor range less then 20 min away but they have really strange days open so its very hit or miss. hopefully i can get ahold of a chronograph asap and get some solid loads together. I was sizing and de-priming and noticed a big difference. I didn't know if my barrel was overly dirty or had somehow messed up my comp. i keep my glock n 1911 equally clean. they both get field striped, cleaned, and oiled lightly after each range trip.
  12. I didn't catch that. They are both federal but the flattened one says . F c . 9mm . Luger the 2nd says . F c . 9mm Luger. Perhaps I'm just paranoid. Lol
  13. Ya it's a bad pic. I can't post with the normal camera. I have to use the front facing cam on my I pad n that's not really working. Ok 2nd pic back up top. Primer on right in the 2nd pic looks flat to me?
  14. Hello. New to the form and I have gotten a ton of info to absorb here but I have to ask a question because this really has me stumped. I was at the range a few days ago shooting my glock 22 with a 9mm barrel carver 3 port comp and an 11 ld spring. TIN coated firing pin (pyramid trigger) Any way. Same trip 2 boxes of off the shelf ammo. And this is how my primers look for some of the rounds. They look flattened to me? I'm new to compensators but my brass looked burnt as well. I was shooting federal 115 fmj target loads. Any help would be awesome. Thank you all. Side note I hope this is in the right spot...
  15. Ahh wrong button... Sorry for the 2nd post...
  16. I have one. I field the lip of the tube down just a bit. I have 2 made n Canada tubes. I filed the top of the mag detent a bit and they work fine for 9mm. I don't use them for 22 tcm. For that I stick w the factory mag. I also got a 3rd barrel from armscor for 38 super. Works great n for 40$ I can shoot an extra caliber. May have to run super comp pending on ur slide. Or file off the finish so the rim will feed.
