Loaded up some 38 super tonight. I hope to go to the range this weekend. I have new starline brass not comp or +p CCI SRP 8.0g hodgdon 800x under a 124 x-treme .355. I hope this will be a nice plinking load without stupid speed. I'm going to set up my chronograph and use the 4.75in barrel 1st then if I'm not too hot got to the 6in. Anyone know a ballpark figure on increase in barrel lenth? Anyway. I'll post the data here n on the super page too.

Would you want to sell the upper? Or possibly trade??

Ok good to know. I have no clue what's in my lim pro it was about 1/2 inch shorter. (2nd hand to me) Ill load up some 124s with some 800x and see how it runs for me. If I need to get a lighter spring I will go from there. I know I will need to get a calabration kit when I comp the lim pro slide.

Yes. The brass would either catch sideways and pinch between the breach face and barrel or catch the same way long ways. Almost like a duble feed but with a spent casing. It was a box of precision cartridge inc 115 loaded in starline supercomp brass. I pulled most of them just for the brass. I'm thinking if I put the spring from my lim pro in then try loading some +p loads and see what cycles it? I don't want to have to run stupid hot loads if I don't have to.

I took my new hunter to the range yesterday. I had a great time and I really enjoy this gun! Several of the range workers where shocked ove how soft it was to shoot. After running through a box of 10mm, I dropped in my 6in 38 super barrel and was having issues with cycling Im guessing due to spring weight. So I put the shorter spring from my lim pro in and had the same issues. The ammo wasn't that great. It was older 115 with 7g of 700x I believe. ( pulled a few for the brass) My question is I haven't been able to find any hunter springs from my google searches. I've only found them for long slide 4.75in models. Here is my question. Would it be ok to shoot the hunter with the shorter spring or should I load some hot super with some 124g and see what cycles my slide? I know I can get a high velosity quickly with the longer barrel but I have always heard it is foolish to shoot major out of a non comped gun. Does this stay true with a 6in gun in 38 super or is that more for 9mm maj. Any suggestions would be great! I think if I would be ok to run a shorter spring, a 10lb spring would be good for box loads. I'm just really not too sure that's a good idea?

I hadn't thouht of that. I think I'll stick with getting the lim pro slide set up with the comp and a v6. I love the 10mm long slide too. It's just sooo soft shooting and the must accurate gun I have ever fired! who knows how I'll end up going but I will be posting a bunch of pics. Thank you again for the input atlas!

Hunter set up for 38 super :-) Also with my limited pro slide set up. I'm thinking a quinn mount may be the ticket. I love my lim pro but there is absolutely NO wiggle in the hunter frame. It's like 4 guns out of 2.

my new 10mm hunter! Henning magwell and plates. I have a 38 super barrel for it too. I'm not sure what direction to go with it. Either a v16 port on the 6 inch long slide with no comp or put it on my lim pro open project. Or order a 2nd barrel and just do both?!? ?

My 90 mount got here today with a few goodies from mr atlas ? thank you for all your help! I have the slide racker installed to the right and it really sticks out but I need it to be able to chamber a round with my messed up left hand. I still need to Get it sighted in but I love it! More work and pics soon!

Atlas, with your hunter project in 40 (and to anyone else shooting 40 on a large frame) what OAL do you load to? I should be getting a hunter in a swap soon. The deal is set just needs to happen. I plan on keeping my lim pro as my open gun project and shaping a few parts off my hunter for the lim pro. I do have a 6 in 38sup barrel here... I may end up just doing a v16 poppet holes with no comp. between the weight n gas should Shoot pretty soft. Pics up soon! O and the hunter is in 10mm.

Yes but I'm looking to only buy one and have it work for both guns. If I get a race master I will sell my CR. I like my CR but would like to have one set up. Just swap blocks and pouches and go. That and I can't really afford 2 belts. who know. Perhaps if I can find a tanfo CR on clearance or something. For now the guns n my safe w a stack of parts and a mile long to do list. Lol

Rolex. Do you have any pics? I'm intrested n this holster too because I'm building an open tanfoglio at the moment. Same holster would be awesome and I know the CR won't hold the tanfo. Who knows. Once my tanfo is running I may use my glock for limited n keep the parts n such for a backup open. Easy swap if my tanfo won't run a glocks a glock n will run run run. Lol

I believe most of the 90 mounts I've found can be ordered un drilled. I looked into the same with my old 25mm off center setup till I found a cheeley setback that was custom setup for that pattern. ( I got waaaaay lucky)

Anyone running one have to lower the ejection port or have any ejection issues after install?

I'm with goldylocks. It seems like an easy 300$ mistake. But I'm sold on the idea for now. I was going to wait for carvers at the end of the month (according to fb) and mod my CR holster but now I'm leaning for the sjc just to be able to use a larger number of holsters.
