  1. Here is the pull. Best trigger I have EVER felt. 0 pre travel. I can't wait to weigh it! trim.DA1D566A-D0B7-4BEF-8AB5-E4859A92E5FB.MOV
  2. I'll be shooting it for the first time Monday Sweet!!! Here's my New trigger :-D
  3. that looks awesome! You have some mad skills Atlas! (Side note. How do you like the new 1911 you got???)
  4. Good to know. I will keep look out for that. I Don't plan on running this charge again for plinking. Once I get the comp and ports installed if it takes 8g to make maj Ill work up to it but I will at the least know the brass and primers can handle it. I shot some out of my open glock but I didn't really get much data and never went over 6 grains because I got 3n38 and autocomp and I didn't have to weigh them by hand.
  5. I've heard it's the cats ass for 10mm. I read somewhere that underwood or double tap use it for the nuclear 135g they put out? Idk. I am going to try it with a 140g led and 10mm and see what I can do with my hunter. I can find plenty of it so If I can use it and shoot well with it I will for now. The few I shot although hot as shit where VERY accurate. And that was with plated. "Thick plated" but still. I know people wonder about them at high speeds.
  6. Wow! Ok I feel a bit better now for not taking all his advice. I asked him about hs6 and he tried to sell me 800x saying they where almost the same. I know they are close on a burn rate but not as "interchangable" as he made it seem. Plus I had a # already and wasn't a fan of how it tossed for 9mm around starting charges. thank you for the heads up. I don't like to support people who price hike, however I did want to try autocomp (and I'm happy I did). I have found a few more local shops to look at for powder now.
  7. Ok sounds good. I can keep an eye out for u if u send me a list of what you are looking for.
  8. Haha yes it is. I'm guessing you don't like him? I've only dealt with him once. He offered to meet me in lakeland when he was heading to tampa. I couldn't meet during his window so I meet him in Orlando. Seemed nice. Prices a bit high but I guess if you think of it as a finders fee I didn't mind too much. Bad experience with him? Not to turn this into a bash post, but if he's shady or something I won't be buying from him again.
  9. No :-( I'm looking to get a # to try. I heard that was the way to go for 9 maj in a glock. I just traded my open glock for a tanfoglio. Pm me if you like I can give you the info for my guy in Orlando. He sells on gunbroker so it's about 40-50$ a # but he has a large selection and will meet you in Orlando so u don't have to pay hazmat shipping on top of the price hike.
  10. Well with the zig racker on the left and the 90 on the right I can a put the frame and mags in my hunter case with slide off. Mags in the case with the frame and mount and then put the slide in the corner pocket where the springs and cleaning kit sit. That works. Or I have an old metal lock box thing I put foam in and that works when I take both to the range. I'm waiting to get a large lock box they sell at harbor freight. It's got locks on it and I believe with the right foam cut out I could fit my entire set up in there. I'm waiting for my build to be done before I build a case again. I made that mistake with my glock. Built a custom case to fit perfect w mags and all but when I added the comp it didn't fit it wa wood and I stained the box and burnt the glock logo on it n all. Took a weekend to do a nice project and a few months later I couldn't use it at all haha.
  11. If you are ever planning a trip down here pm me a month b4 and I can do what I can to grab u some powder. Selection may be a bit limited. I just went to 38 from 9mm so I'm not too sure on what to look for now. I know autocomp, cfe, n105, 3n38 ,3n37,800x,and I know I'm missing at least a dozen. Haha.
  12. Bass pro in Orlando has it now and then. There's a shop in plant city had 10+ 1lb jugs and a 4 lb or two. I stop by there every month or more. They have a good stock. That's where I got the 4lb of 3n38 for just over 160$ out the door. Then there's a guy in Orlando that sells on gunbroker that will meet me in lakeland if I want autocomp or cfe. He also has 800x. It's 45$ a lb for autocomp but that's dilevered 10min from my house. I live in a small town between lakeland and orlando. So 30min either way I'm in a major city to look for powder.
  13. My 2 :-) lim pro with cheeley mount. Henning trigger and egw sear/pin/hammer kit on the way. ( I hope this week or Monday) and my hunter 10mm. Henning magwell on the hunter will soon be on the lim pro. Both shoot 38 super. The 10mm hunter shoots softer then my glock 22c ! I plan to send the 6inch barrel with the lim pro to canyon creek and do an comp and V-6 :-) Till then I can shoot some 38 super out of the 6in hunter! ?
  14. I don't mind it for super. Loading 9 I wasn't getting anything close from charge to charge. I may not have been set up properly. Like I said. I'm going to back down to 7g and see how it runs/tosses. I try to do 10 tosses and divide it by 10. Shoot to be less then a grain over at the end. I have autocomp and 3n38 I just hate to burn it up without a comp on the end. Expecally how hard powder is to get. I can go to 3 diff stores near me and get as much 800x as I want
  15. Nice. I do want to use it a bit more for 40 and 10mm. Out of my lee it did ok but it may have been +/- .1 here n there?
  16. I do want to try it with 10mm and a 140g I did get a pretty accurate toss at 8g with my lee. I hear it gets better the larger the charge.
  17. Ya. It's horrid to meeter. I loaded some 9maj w that and the same 124 xtreme. I never would have thought that much quicker with 1 grain more from 9 to super. I guess the comp played a large part.
  18. It did cycle fine... Even with the 10mm recoil spring. Haha
  19. Yaaaa. Again. What NOT to do. Lol the data I got showed 8g w a 124 out of a 5inch at 1312. So I figured run it and see. I'll be dropping down to 7-7.5 see what I get. Perhaps go back once I have the comp and V-6 porting done. Haha
  20. Load data from today. Not much data but I'll post. 38 super starline brass 124 xtreme hp CCI SRP 1.260 OAL 8g 800x Lim pro stock barrel 4.75inch 1.1406 fps 2.1474 fps 3.1417 fps Avg 1423 fps Avg PF 176. A bit stout for no comp plinking. Going to back off a bit... Sooo I had to see what it would do with the hunter... Hunter 6in barrel 38 super 1.1616 FPS 2.1588 FPS I stopped there... Brass looks fine. Primers are fine. Both guns kicked pretty hard. Avg. FPS:1602. Avg PF 198... I'm going to back off a bit. Figured I would post this as a DONT try.

  22. I could. I just really like the hunter with the iron sights. The accuracy and everything else. I could put the hunter slide on the lim pro but there's a gap. (Looks odd) no biggie really. I was just tossing some ideas around. Eventually I would like to use the hunter with a 40 barrel for limited but at the moment I really want to finish my open project and selling a frame and 6in slide would give me the $ to do it? Or I keep them both and figure out another way to fund it.
  23. Well I went to the range today. The out door part was closed so I couldn't set up my chronograph or shoot hand loads. Sorta lame. Anyway. The hunter with the 38 super barrel ran great with the lim pro recoil spring and some Aguila 130+P ammo. Thank you all for the advice. Sooo. Here is what's rolling around in my mind. I love the hunter frame and the long dust cover. I almost want to build my open gun on this platform. I have a henning trigger and EGW hammer/pin/sear kit on the way. I would just need to get another c-more mount and go from there. However. The cheeley mount I have I really like. I know if I put the henning and EGW parts in my lim pro that would take care of the sa/da trigger slop that I don't really like. My concern is if I use the hunter frame for the base I would have a lim pro frame and hunter slide I don't really need. I do love the hunter in 10mm 6in hand cannon mode too. Pro for hunter: tight frame, full lenth dust cover, henning magwell installed, new hole pattern... Cons: if I put a dot on it I wouldn't be able to mount the 6inch slide. Rear sight won't clear the dot. Pro for lim pro: I have the cmore sighted in and a mount I like, if I use this gun I still have the stock hunter bad @$$ 10mm hand cannon. Con: Shorter dust cover, not as tight as hunter. Any advice on what to do would be awesome. If I do go with the hunter as a base I'll have a large competition frame with cmore mount and with sa/da trigger (and take off sao trigger) to sell as well as a hunter 6in slide to help fund the open gun build? If I do decide to sell the frame or slide I'll post here 1st as a heads up then up in classifieds.
