  1. Mag engraving with name and numbering system just a little different than most!
  2. Your powder bar didnt change adjustment, your powder gained weight, probably from absorbing moisture.
  3. If it had been a rubber chicken with an air cannon stuck up its butt you wouldnt have dq'ed
  4. I did it by moving the pivot point in the trigger farther backwards. This required shotening the trigger bar. I chopped off the end, annealed it, re drilled the hole and put ia all back together. Works perfectly.
  5. Genneva, Iroquios, Old Bridge, Central Jersey and East Huntingdon clubs added. The idea of this map came about when I couldnt find 2 clubs from the info on their websites. They had vague adresses of the actual club location. Right now I dont have a plan in place to add schedules. Its a map that requires a placeholder to add infor. If anyone has an ide on how to add them I please let me know.
  6. I added Pioneer Sportmans club and Iroquois Sportmans club. CXan anyone tell me where Geneva's range is located? It says nothing on their webpage about where they actually are.
  7. Where is their range located? I can find nothing to tell me where the range is physically located.
  8. I will add clubs anywhere in the country. Its all about getting people to more matches
  9. Here is a map Ive done for the shooting cubs in the Northeast USA. It had all the clubs I could find. Links to their infor and the adresses of the actual ranges so you can really find them http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&amp....302734&z=6
  10. Does anyone have any experiance with the biodegradable airsoft bb's? Do they work? Do they come apart in flight?
  11. Here are some pics of 2 airsoft guns I just finished. The limited is my own with the same Caspian diamond rear and fiber optic front I use to shoot with. The open gun is one I did for a friend. It has a C-More serendipity, shortened govt slide, custom reverse recoil plug and faux comp I built to make this gun as close to his real blaster as posible (within reason and budget of course) Both shoot great.
  12. I just did an open gun for Randy. Here is my limited gun with a Caspian diamond ghost ring on the rear and fiber optic front sight.
  13. Absolutly no one should have issues contacing me. My phone number and email address have been clearly listed on the match website since March. Scot1911@comcast.net 1-802-238-8604 Scott
  14. I would like to personally apologize to any competitor that had to wait for any length of time while shooting on Saturday. Obviously a shooter wait ofANY length is one of a match directors biggest fears. No shooter likes to wait to shoot a stage. As soon as I was made aware of the situation. I provided the waitng competitors with cold drinks, and assigned all the match staff I could to the task. We actually had more match staff on the stage than competitors shooting at that point. We gladly taped their targets ans set their steel, while the shooters got prepared to shoot. Hopefully I was able to rectify the situation to the satisfactions of everyone who was delayed. 15. The Area 7 Championship / 2007 AWARE Invitationsal is filling up fast. Saturday only has a couple of slots left and Sunday is getting full. Come enjoy the fun and sun in Vermont. Bring the family, there are numerous attractions in the Stowe area to keep them entertained.
  16. 2007_A7_AWARE_Reg.pdfFolks, The 2007 shooting season is upon us. As many of you know the Area 7 Championship and the AWARE invitatinal match will be held together this year. The match will be in Morisville VT, July 19-22. This years theme is "urban legends" We have courses of fire with boogfoot, aligators in the sewer, DB Cooper, lost city of atlantis and of course Elvis. We have a new match website up at www.area7aware.com . You will find the applications there, directions, links to lodging and sponsors. If you chose to stay at the match hotel, the Commodores Inn in Stowe, call in your reservation and ask for the GMPS rate. We are working on getting a match rate availible on their website online booking by the end of the week, for now to get the discount you will have to call. For registration, we will be using the online squadiing system so you can pick your own squad to shoot with. Please check the website often, we will be constantly adding stages, additional attractions, sponsors and other information. I hope to se all our old friends again this year. Come have some fun in Vermont, and bring the family along. Scot Chapman Match Director www.area7aware.com
  17. THe left popper on Klondike rush ate a lot of shooters up. I was the match director, I left that one standing and lost the calibration I requested on it. I can assure you there was no problem with the popper itself. If you went back and looked at the cave "mouth" the backside of it was lined with 3/8 steel diamond plate. I believe a lot of people mistook the sound of your bullet hitting the prop for a "good hit on the steel." The other thing that I know was happening. I watched at least 2 people do it, was that they were hitting the prop, a fragment of their bullet was being deflected downwards and hitting the popper, leaving a mark. It looked like a good hit. What was really hitting the popper was a fragment of your original projectile. Not the complet bullet going at the proper speed. For the record, we chrono our calibration gun and ammunition everymorning. It made minimum power factor every day.
  18. im in the CNC prototyping machine shop business, send all thos customers right here!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. For the recent 2006 AWARE match we used Palm scoring exclusivily. I cannot stress how well this worked. It took a stats staff of 3 people, down to one very bored indivdual. It simply worked flawlessly. We had a couple slight adjustments to make, however these were casued by us not the palms, and we would have had to make the same adjustments if we had scored usuing paper. I struck a deal with Peter Cunningham of AutoScoring Systems for the new "club" software. This version allows you 2 master palms and 20 slaves to use on the ranges. I purchased new "demo" palm IIIxe palms from 3d electronics in Cananda for $24.99 each, plus shipping. Every palm I got (we bought 16) was in perfectly flawless conditon and worked perfectly. I did have a slight learning curve getting the MS acces link up and running, but after the first time it is painless. We have been able to teach out rangestaff to use these in less than five minutes. The only issue we had is some people have trouble sorting through the competitors list by squad, or shooter number. Actual scoring training was short and very good. We had one person at out club that was hesitant, and complained that we had people that "clouldnt score using these things" I pointed out we have a whole club of people that cant seem to score on paper, so one or 2 on the palms isnt that bad. If you are thinking of running a major match, you should definatly look into going to the palm system. You can have your club setup and running with 10 palms for about 1500.00, if you compare it to buying 2 or 3 pard NCR scoresheets for 9 stages and 150 shooters, your payback is 2 years. If your thinking of running a major match and would like to try them. We may be able to work out a deal for utilizing our Palms and software at your club. We bought our own licence and we are free to do as we please with it. Plus I dont see where Peter would mind, you will buy your own once you use this. Our stats were complete and posted within 15 minutes of the last shot being fired for a 4 day, 165 person match.
  20. Ive been shooting 9mm major out of a gun chambered in 38 super for a year with no major issues. I did have one round drop into the chamber too far to be extracted once, and had to poke it out with a pen. After examining the case, even if I had a proper 9x19 chamber at the time I would have had issues becasue the entire rim of the case was gone. Some people get all hyped up about head spacing off the breechface instead of the chamber edge,,,,,,,think about it it really doesnt matter. The round is held on the breechface with the extractor in ANY caliber, and when you pull the trigger the round is fully seated to the breechface no matter how tight or long your chamber is...its basic physics. I would bet that less than one one thousandth of a percet of your ammo actually touches the end of the chamber before you pull the trigger. Its more likely your bullet partially seats in the rifling first. Its basically the same as shooting 38 special in your 357,,,,,as long as you have of hold of the case to get it back out somehow, it doesnt matter where the front is for the most part. I tried 9mm major becasue my gun was finicky with range brass. I could not count on even 80% reliability with brass that was not brand new. So I tried a friends 9mm ammo on a whim, and it worked flawlessly. So I started laoding some and experimenting. The tapered case of the 9x19 functions and chambers more reliably than the straight wall 38 super. Also if your using a Caspian Hi Cap, the mags work flawlessly in 9mm major. And you dont ever have to worry about double charging a case, becasue they are double charged to begin with and you cannot physically fit any more powder into them when reloading. The down side is that if you do loose a round off the extractor, you are not goign to be able to rack the slide and get it out. your going to have to poke it out from the other end. Also, the accuracy does suffer. At this weekends past 2006 AWARE, Amy Sayers from Caspian Arms shot my gun using .38 super ammo (all in brand new brass). It drove tacks, when I shot the gun 2 days later with 9mm major ammo, the best I could do was about a 4" group at 30 yards. The 1/4" plus of freebore does make an accuracy differance, but not in functionality. This morning I was able to get a true 9x19 AET barrel shipped out from Wil Schuemann. For the record the reason for the barrel change is for accuracy, not function. Its not about the money, the cost of the new barrel is probably more than the cost differance between 9mm and 38 super brass for a dozen years. It come down to using what works. One more thing...Casoain does have a 9mm caliber spcific extractor. The claw for the case rim is properly dimentioned to grip the 9mm case family of cartridges. The groove in a 38 supoer extractor is slightly larger, and although it does work, the true 9mm extractor fits better.
  21. Mikey Mikey Mikey, In picture DCS03145, what exactly is Frank doing behind you while you have your head in the Guilltine yoke.
  22. I posted the stats about an hour ago. I will be keeping them open until midinight Friday August 11th for corrections. I do my best to get everything as correct as possible. Get anything you need changed to me and I will try to get it updated on a daily basis.
  23. Thank you all the competitors for attending this years AWARE. I would especially like to thank all my crew that make this match happen every year. I cannot say enough about the quality of help that we have to put this event on. I have without a doubt in my kind, the hardest working club in USPSA. Id would like to thank Caspian Arms, our great friends and match sponsor. Smith and Wesson for its generocity and continued support and Glock for its extreme generocity as well. By the way..for clarification. There is no issue with the Palm scoring or USPSA. I cannot get cell service,,much less internet access at the range. I will have the scores up somtime Monday. Id like to sleep in for a bit for the first time in 9 days! The Palm scoring is godsend....I cannot ever imagine going back to paper scoresheets for a major match. Thank you to Auto Scoring Syatems for their support and product and to Ron Boudrie for his techincal help getting this together for the Palm system and EZWinscore. Scott Chapman Match Director
