  1. I just figured out why he said that. He thought when I posted, that I was you zsavage81 since our names are close. I was confused for a bit. Haha
  2. If he doesn't make it right, then let us know so we can also avoid him. Make sure he knows that you'll let everyone on this forum know what he wouldn't correct. If it is who I think it is, he seems like a pretty good guy, and he should work it out for you. Just be prepared to wait. An issue like that, eaa won't get fixed very fast at all, I'm afraid. Hopefully I'm wrong though.
  3. Nobody ever told me I needed that sutff!?! I've been using a hacksaw, heavy rock and finish nails! Prove it. Jk
  4. I wouldn't advise reseating those primers on a loaded round. When it comes to reloading always err on the side of caution at all times. It only takes one time for something to go really bad. PULL THE BULLETS. If you don't have a bullet puller with collets, I highly suggest getting them. It will just take time. It's not worth it when the consequences could be severe. But if you wanna be a cowboy like biker, go for it. Take no offense biker. I just hate when people get hurt by things, when it can be completely avoided.
  5. I'll second Nealio. You'll want to convince yourself it's not the sear due to the gun not having many rounds. I went through the same thing when I had to work on my limited after having a very low round count. My advice. If you are planning on getting more tanfoglios in the future (say this because they are addicting, as we have talked about on this forum) is to get yourself a hammer, roll pin punch set, gun block, and some sharpening stones. Build up some courage and explore a little. Do research on here, ask questions and work on that gun yourself. Guns, most of the time, are simplistic. I have faith that you can do it. It'll save you those gunsmithing fees, and you'll most likely enjoy working on it. Just don't be in a rush.
  6. Yes nealio, I personally wouldn't recommend it, but have read that it's done. I feel like the principal (nealio) just came into the classroom (thread) and told me to watch it.
  7. Those are just plain sweet. Only thing more sweet, is if they were in my possession instead of yours.
  8. Ya. I've read from a few people on hear, that seem reliable, that you can shoot long loaded 40 s&w in a 10mm. If you reload that can be an option for you to save some $. Thats not personal experience though so take it with a grain of salt.
  9. I'll be honest. I don't shoot any matches. My shooting range is at my house, out in the middle of nowhere. I just go out and shoot whatever gun I want. Which is nice because I don't have to conform to any rules and I can do whatever I want with my guns. I'm sure I would probably enjoy competition, but there aren't a whole lot of those around here that I know of. I'm sure I would have to travel a good ways and I don't really have the time to do that. Besides that it's freaking freezing in Indiana right now. There isn't much of anything going on outside, up here now. I just realized in my typing this has nothing to do with the thread. Sorry for getting off topic.
  10. You'll find your answer on why the slides cracked, on certain guns, just read through some threads and you'll find your answer. You have gotten a stronger spring for the gun so your covered there. Short version is if you have a gun that doesn't have the cut out sides, and it is more of a semi circle top, you are good to go. This is all info I have gathered here on the forum.
  11. I have a limited in 40 with conversions in 9mm and 10mm. So that being said does anyone have a limited or possibly hunter frame that they are looking to unload?
  12. They are addicting. I've went from having none a few months ago to, a limited in 40 with the 9mm and 10mm conversion. A match in 9mm and a stock 2 in 40 in the mail now, with me lusting after many many more. On my list of wants in handgun are about 5 more tanfoglios. I like them so much they have taken all my money for my AR's I was in the process of building. My AR's are very mad at me.
  13. Why do you prefer the limited pro? Very interested in reasons.
  14. Bump. Am I wrong to think this thread should be pinned? I know I'm new but this is almost always the first thread I look at here.
  15. There is one on gunbroker right now from oak hill.
  16. Of course it would have to be the right type of mount. I know there are many variations. Really hoping this can work so I can go ahead and buy that chronograph.
  17. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the magneto speed v2 on a tanfoglio or any gun with a sight mount by doing the following. Taking only the sight mount and turning around backward (is that even possible?) and being able to strap the magneto speed around the gun and over the sight mount. I don't have either thing to try. I'm trying to figure out if I can get the magneto speed to work on my limited. If there is not a sight mount that would work, I'm wondering if it's possible to make a mount, by fabricating it to simply hold the strap on the top part so it's not resting on the slide. Any input welcome. Especially if you can try it.
  18. Can someone tell me if this is a small or large frame. It's an older model and I don't know enough about them to differentiate by looks. All I can tell is that it has the curved trigger guard, comp barrel, and shorter dust cover compared to the newer ones. Well crap. This site wont let me post URL links yet. I'm still to noobish. But if someone types in witness hunter in gunbroker it will come up. It's price is 700 dollars last I looked.
  19. Haha. Got some, shot some, sold some. No 1911 that I've ever shot, or owned or own has done it for me like these tanfoglios. I'm not bashing them at all. There are very fine 1911's and manufacturers of them, but I'm kinda over them. I'm sure there's probably a few out there I could love but I haven't found it/them yet. I gotta be honest though I haven't shot a supremely custom 1911 like a nighthawk or wilson etc.. I've held them. But I'm not so sure I can justify buying them with there price tag. I can't bring myself to believe they are worth it. Just opinions though. I got one, just like everyone else. Doesn't mean much to anyone except myself.
  20. As the title says. I'm obsessed with these tanfoglios, and maybe I need someone to slow me down on them. By the way my names Andrew. I'm from Indiana. I don't shoot in any events or anything. I'm an accuracy nut, that shoots at home all the time. I live in the middle of nowhere and reload to shoot, shoot to reload. I've quiet simply kicked other guns to the curb because of these guns. I have a match in 9mm, a limited in 40 and another limited in 45. I'm on the verge of selling the 45, to pick up the stock two in 40. And also buying 9mm and 10mm conversion kits for the limited. And possibly another match in 40. So I need someone to maybe tell/ask me why. Like someone with experience with these guns, to tell me that there's no need for a stock 2 when I have the limited, or the match in 40 either. I like the idea of having them all, but if I find that I don't shoot them because I've already got the limited then im unsure if I really wanna drop the money on the stock two and match. I'm planning on buying the conversions no matter what though. Somebody step in and either say go for it or that I'm throwing money at other guns for no reason. I'm not a collector of guns, I'm a shooter, so I don't want safe queens. Some gun addiction therapist in here needs to give me a session. I got it bad.
