They have enough to bite and hold good. If someone offered them in 25mm length that would give more engagement.

Got the screw in and also installed Henning's grip screws today. Here is the difference between the two lengths:

Still trying to duplicate that Xtreme Gold Match. I put an order in with J and L today for everything but the base pads. He said they are $85 each! I wan't the look, without the big price.

Does anyone carry a replacement Stainless screw for the stock magwell? I guess I can check the hardware store if anyone knows the size?

It's the same as the Limited right? JandL has those.

I was going to ask as well. What the issue was with the old ones? I have never replaced any of mine since day one and they all run perfect. If I ran into issues where I thought it was the magazine or wanted to do a refresh, stock springs would go back in.

The hammer is the Xtreme line or standard Limited? I might as well just swap it too and hope it clears. This is the next best thing to the "Unicorn" Match!

Safety and magazine base pad. Is that a Limited or Gold Team safety? We think the base pad is an Xtreme.

It's a bigger hammer than the Hunter. On my others I can pull it back to the beavertail and make contact. Physically impossible on the Hunter.

I need to make a decision on whether I keep the Hunter hammer or swap it for the heart Xtreme Gold. I'm afraid if I switch it, the beavertail might take some smacks.

They are like brand new if anyone is looking for a pair. Not the newer style.

I just looked at them both. The heart hammer looks to be bigger/closer to the frame than the hunter hammer. I think that's the only reason it never contacts the beavertail like the others.

Does that mean fitting? What does the shorter hooks do? I never measured, but isn't the Hunter frame longer than the Limited?

Any advantage to that hammer? I contacted APW and they weren't real sure in looking at that picture if it's brushed or matte. Anyone have a better picture or can guess? I think the mag release is the stock piece except coated? What ambi safety is that? I will need to order that also and have it coated and does it require fitting? APW charges a fee to tear it down and put it back together and will install non-fitted parts without a charge. If they have to fit the hammer and safety that adds to the cost.

I have some questions on duplicating that Gold. Any fitting putting that heart shaped hammer in? Make? The chrome place was wondering if the frame is brushed or matte? What base pad?
