Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have had very good luck with the 10 round SIG mags on my 220. No reliability issues or any complaints.
  2. I like the Dan Wesson point man. A little pricey but comes with a lot of features.
  3. On a 650, is there an easier way to remove and replace the primer punch... Such as when you change from small to large primers? I usually use an open-ended wrench but it takes some time to do so and if you're not careful you could mar the end of the punch. Just wondering if there's an easier way to do this.
  4. NICE! My favorite load: 3.7 vv310 200 rainer roundnose Cheapest load: 4.0 700x 200 LSWC Both at 1.25 OAL
  5. I unload the first couple by inserting the mag and manually cycling the slide. Fingers off trigger of course. All my mags are tight just like you say.
  6. Does anyone know if this is reasonably feasible? If it is, I'd like to use my Delta Elite in 45 for matches (I prefer the felt recoil of 45 instead of 40).
  7. Any word on if the 227 will be made as SAO, perhaps with in the Legion to get the nice sights and trigger?
  8. I contacted him. He just placed them out on ebay now if anyone wants one. FYI
  9. I remember years ago there was someone that would see a tool head for 550 or 650s (on ebay) that would allow you to use the same toolhead for 44 special / 44 mag (or 38 special / 357 magnum). It had two groves you can use...one higher for the magnums, one lower for the specials. Has anyone seem these or does anyone know where to buy them? Thanks.
  10. Thanks everyone; noted on the above. If anyone has any other suggestions for any other 147 bullets that are reasonably accurate at 25 yards (~2" group) in their STIs, please let me know. I will have to try some different bullets. I can start with the Acme or blue bullets first.
  11. New STI Edge and I'm trying to work up some good loads with Extreme's 147 RN HPCB. I tried 3.5 titegroup and loaded them a few different lengths but they are not at all accurate at 25 yards - flyers all over the place, no matter what length. At 15 yards, they'll hold within a 5" group (which is not great), at 25 - horrible. The latest I ran was 1.155 OAL with a very light crimp, better but not great - just not accurate. The guns is very accurate with factory ammo, however I only have 125 grain factory ammo, not 147. I have heard these guns do not shoot accurately with plated ammo but I'm not sure if that's my issue. I would be willing to try different bullets, but wasn't sure what to try next.
