If it breaks, Para will send you the part. As for other options, I had to change my slide in order to put in a Aftec. The Para slide is cut to large for any standard extractors.

Well, Mark, I guess you are going to have to swing through this part of the country and educate about 2/3 of the ACs, MDs and SOs, because the "Failure Drill with FTN if head not hit" is just dead common. A true "gamer" is not going to take a 2.5sec. penalty to dump one round. The penalty far out ways the time saved. I think one way to make the COF legit, would be to make the reengagement of the head shots after retreating to cover, were a separate string of fire. You can't change the rules by saying it would make since in the real world, otherwise that would justify me doing a slide lock reload in the open, if thats where I went dry.

With an open gun, I don't think you can get around reloading. I don't think there is any 9mm or 38 super that would make major out of a comp gun, and must won't cycle the gun well. Can't think of anyone loading 38 super comp, which is the way to go (IMO). I have a STI Grandmaster w/ an Aftac extractor, 100% reliable.

It seems to be a pattern to accuse the shooter who wins B,C or D class of sandbagging. Someone has to win those classes, and usually its going to be a shooter who is on the verge of getting bumped up to the next class. Thats just the way it goes. There are so many factors involved in how a shooter could be in a lower class than maybe he should be, especially new shooters, or new to a class shooters. Its not all ways sandbagging. How would you feel if you just won your class at the nationals, then log on here and someone all but names you and says you cheated.....

I have some MG 121gr IFP bullets. They look to be their 115gr. JHP bullets with the hollow point filled with lead.

I know a lot of people that regularly participate in IDPA, and I hear a lot of complaining..... The constant complaining and odd-ball rules and inconsistancy is why i don't shoot IDPA much anymore. I belive its more than 50% of the shooters have a problem with the rules and another 40% don't know the rules.

A few months ago, after a match a hypo question came up. If a shooter was to drop his mag. grab his fresh one, and sees a bad hit and desides to fire the round in the camber on the target, then completes the reload and moves on. Would that be a DQ?

What I don't understand is why are we affraid of heavy guns? In USPSA Limited or L-10, There is no weight limit, but must shooters choose to shoot the lighter framed S_I guns instead of heavier steel framed guns, heck Dave S. won Limited nationals with a Glock. The heaviest gun does not win... My point is why make a rule to stop an "arms race" that will never happen.

Finally figued out how to download and edit video. Heres a couple vids of me shooting a couple stages this weekend with my new open gun. What do you guys think?

O.K. I foumd moviemaker. The only conection I have is a USB port cable same as my digital camera. I can't get it to work, so I take it I need a different connection like "theknightoflight" reffered to?
