Nealio,
Which Xtreme 147's do you use? HP, RN, or HPCB? I'm looking at reducing by cost from the MG's. GREAT bullets, but a little pricey as I'm doing more practicing. Yes, I said the P-word. .

Same here. Still like it, though.

The most frustrating thing was getting the sight removed. It has this tiny set screw that is smaller than any of my Allen keys, so I had to get a key from Dawson. I got a new set screw as well because it would be very easy to lose or strip out.
-
I had a Dawson come loose after two short practice sessions. Removed and reinstalled with Loctite. It's been solid so far, but I've only shot two matches with it since. With the loctite I expect it to stay put.

Congrats on the unicorn!!! I run Adam's build and fully agree. You just got a great blaster.

Chic,
There will be a swinger in Bay 3 for tomorrow's match.

Mine has a one piece sear, but it was done by someone else.

Danny,
For the plunger spring, go to www.henningshootsguns.com, select Tech, and you will see a link for frame assembly. This will take you to a pair of videos, one for frame disassembly, the other for assembly. You'll see it's pretty straightforward. WRT the sear, I need to defer to the many people on this forum who have done this.

The best one is the one that's in your hand. I've only shot the Stock II and think it's great. I've read enough from others that I think it's tough to go wrong with any of these. Good luck!!

On Ben's site he has a spring kit which has a reduced power recoil spring and a stiffer firing pin spring. Wouldn't a heavier fp spring make it more likely to have light strikes?
-
I noticed you were shooting the plates right to left. What was it about shooting that direction that made it faster for you? Impressive, by the way!!

This whole concept of using a .40 for production is very interesting. Should have thought about that before buying my 9mm stock II. Nah, I like the 9!!!!

Thx for the add.

Just got a Bladetech/BOSS from the ProShop, else I'd be tempted.

Tanfoglios have a better fit and finish than CZs but the factory support is a joke and the availability of parts is scarce compared to CZs. That being said they are both great guns, some guys prefer CZs and some prefer Tanfoglios. I prefer the larger grip of the Tanfo as well as the longer sight radius of the stock 3 and limited pro. With the CGW disco and EG hammer and springs the triggers are pretty close to equal.
I agree with every point, Adam. For me it came down to grip size. Ok, it's cool to have a Unicorn, too, but the Stock II fit better. I've got nothing bad to say about the CZ, it's a first rate firearm.

I just seem to be able to hit the mag well more consistently. I did switch the orientation of my mags to 90 degree (Ben Stoeger style) which gives me a more consistent grip on each mag. That had to help.
How?Just switched from Glock 34 to Stock II. I reload every bit as quickly with the Stock II, if not a little quicker.

147 CMJ or 124 JHP.

Any suggestions for recipes using VV N320 and MG 147's or 124's in a Stock II 9mm? Thx!!

Great advice, thx!

Tanfo for sure! Both are nice, though.

Is this an issue with the Race Master, too?

Bought a BOSS holster/hanger to shoot production with my Stock II. It is sturdy, stable and high quality. Great buy, highly recommended.

Still have my Glocks, so I could use them, but I'd rather run a DA/SA. Any Stock II's out there? (Even I'M laughing ).
Load data for new Stock II?
in Tanfoglio (EAA / IFG)
