Dan, I measured 50 rds. from different lots. Most are .3071 - .3076 Dia. I did find a .3056 and a .3065 in the group.

Hey Mike, What other barrel would you go with? I have over 3,000 rds of Nato 147 gr. ammo will not shoot in my BHW barrel without tumbling. I've tried shooting without comp. doesn't make a difference . With the price of ammo I would like to be able to shoot this stuff. So I'm thinking it might be cheaper to buy a different barrel ? What do you or anyone have for a fix for this. THANKS.

Thank's for the info on this Stretch barrel . I put a .308 together with a 16" BHW barrel . It will shoot only my reloads or the good high price ammo. If I shoot any of my Nato ammo the bullets tumble within 30 yards. What is the rifling in this barrel, what is the cost,and were do I get one? THANKS, LoneRanger

I've not have any problem with the gas blowing back at me . I'm also right handed. But I shoot long guns left handed do to right eye problems. I us the Mega ambi. Ar receiver set. As for shotgun I can do my reloads using my dominate right hand. Don't put off shooting 3 Gun . You can't get that time back. I wish it was around 20 years ago.

I us the Mega match set. Very nice!! I order the Ambi. set for the bolt release.( I'm a lefty)

Still using my SLP. The only problem I have had in 3 years is when I cut the new mag spring to short. Shoots slugs like a rifle !! LoneRanger

Thanks for the info on the mag pouches. That is about all I lack for the rifle. I have 1 of the new hand guards on order from Samson. So for now I us a wielding glove for now to do my testing .

Thanks for your input . We just got another FOOT of snow this morning. Not sure when I can check for group size or chrono. I won some Sierra 155gr MacthKing #2156 bullets . I hope I can get them to shoot for my long range. I have some W748 But have been told to try Varget. Not sure of powder charge? (46.0?) I also have 1/10 twist BHW barrel. How far down on your leg does your mags hang? I shoot long guns left handed and pistol right. So My pistol doesn't give me much of a option for my rifle mags . For my .223 pouches I have one straight up and one at about 30 degrees around the back point of hip. But, .308 do take up more room. Also with time and money running out . I'm going to switch to HO. Have more equipment for HO then HI. Are you shooting irons or scope?

Well guys I shoot my test shots today on my new .308 project (minus hand guard) and 10 degree temp. It was a blast had adjustable gas block set just right. The 147gr ammo feed like a dream. The recoil was no where near what I though it would be. This week I will chrono and see what kind of group I can get with the BHW barrel. I would like to thank you guys for your help and advice. This is going to be a great year!!
