  1. Keep trying to PM you on the 10 Dillon Small Primer Tubes...  using my laptop this time and it still says you cannot receive messages.  Was first to reply about them and did send you an email.  I hope I didn't get bumped as I see there is another interested in the tubes.  Ready to pay via PayPal gift if you would like to provide your PayPal email

  2. Talk about a short turn around time! Looks great even before finishing! Congrats on that purdy pistol!
  3. +1 for this.....my first 80 series tricked me once or twice till a quick Google search showed me the user error that was accruing......now what did we do before Google?....actually ask our friends....sounds like bs to me
  4. First - Thank you everyone of your time spent with giving input Second - Well here we are about 2 months after the shoot and I have to say that I did have fun. There were very few shotgun reloading stages. Lucky me, that it was a very pistol heavy match which plays into my USPSA Limited strengths. I met some fantastic people who were more than willing to help me with anything I had questions on. Despite the newness of my shotgun...I rocked that area. Surprisingly the area that I had an issue on ( only on 1st stage ) was my rifle. Despite having all my USMC Infantry background, I actually didn't get much work in with it after I rebuilt it and all the work I did get in was simply sighting it in. I never got the change to get rapid target engagement or scope adjustments on the fly with the whole new setup to include scope since my range only has static rifle for now ( action rifle is being built ). Despite the trouble on the 1st rifle stage.....I still took 9th in my first 3gun....Not too shabby. Thanks again to everyone and I will say that one lucky police officer got my 930JM Pro for a steal, I sold it to him for a fantastic price and it was only used for that one match and 2 practice sessions. I had to be real with myself and since I only get 1 Saturday off a month and I use that for USPSA matches, I cannot keep up with 3 gun until my Lt retires and I get weekends off Figured I would help someone out who wanted to get into 3 gun and was wanting to do it on a budget so off the shotgun went.
  5. My birthday USPSA match at Dundee. Finished first in Limited U but the day didn't feel good. Smoothness was missing and my mag change is a strong point except for this day. Still had fun but.....as always....there is something to learn and take away to the next practice. PivotHead glasses gave up on me same day. Of course.......they work now but during the match....only recorded 1 second of each stage
  6. Well my first 3-Gun was yesterday for the Robert Libke Memorial here in Oregon. The video of my day is below....be gentle :-) Didn't do too bad although I wish I would have gotten some more rounds down range with my AR in a non static setting but Tri-County doesn't have their action rifle side open yet.
  7. 31st of August.....I was able to snag a double stack caddy so I can load 2 at a time...now I am working on the loading since it isn't as easy as I would like it to be . Thank you for the offer now I think I will toss some in a dump pouch for the dreaded missed shot so I don't run out.
  8. 7/26/14 Dundee Match. Last stage... Man.... Well you will see
  9. +1 tto this.... I load all my cast at 1.160 and have no problems with them ever. My wife and I run CRP Edges from DP and that seems to be the perfect length for us and lead. This has the bullet hitting the ramp between 1/2 & 3/4 of the way up so no fear of the dreaded U on the lead bullets indicating it's hitting the bottom of the ramp.
  10. I looked at those for my two CRP Edges.....would love to try before I buy though....no one has them around here
  11. Oh I imagine....However, I do not remember that specific powder popping up in the discussions for good 40 major powder.
  12. Quoted - two sentences from your great information I must live in the wrong state.....I haven't seen any powder in that quantity not even Triple 7
  13. Just my .02.....read the story behind STI and SVI....long and short of it is....2 guys start making custom gun together....after a while....one wants to make super custom and the other wants to make less custom but more available to the everyday shooter.....they split and now you have STI and SVI.......as I said SUPER SHORT AND CONDENSED VERSION! You get what you pay / wait for. Personally my wife and I run CRP Edges from DP and they are great for us. Do I want an SVI...Yes....Do I see where some things on an STI fall short....Yes. However, I do have but dont want to spend the money on an SVI when the STI is doing me right as of this moment. As soon as she does me wrong....check out the Classifieds....there will be a screaming deal
  14. Collecting old spent primers... hmmm. Have you found a use for them yet? Have you watched the videos of the guys "reloading" their primers.....SCETCHY !!! But hey there is a small market for them
  15. 6/28/2014 at Dundee ...... did ok ..... rust with poppers for sure.
  16. I honestly keep blue in my bag and at my bench....however the only reason I went red is when ordering a replacement button with DP they stated that the recommendation from DP is red loctite on their buttons
  17. The wife and I each have one of these in 40. They both eat anything you give them....except for 1.180 loads....our reloads are 1.160, lead with TiteGroup and Unique powders and they never complain about it unlike some other shooters that my complain about a slight smoke screen Enjoy the pistol it will serve you well. Take the extended mag release button off and use one drop of red loctite...not something you want to loose on match day TRUST ME
  18. Nothing special....setup a small stage and did a few runs for practice. New shotgun for my first 3 gun match coming up....need to keep practicing with it (loading specifically). Had large shotgun stage setup but none got on video due to a user error issue.
  19. WAIT WAIT WAIT.........You are telling me.....I have to practice????? Well time to sell everything
  20. Wow 3.2gr would feel like a 38auto .....that would be around 695fps LOL....no way to make major there Well on other note....I did get to test the new shotgun out today. Trying to learn real quick the loading (doubles) as I have a 3 gun event coming up and I've never done one before. Definitely a learning curve there!
  21. Newest Load Data completed 2 hours ago. Partly cloudy and 65 degrees Here is the Load Data for 180gr Missouri Bullets on top of 4.4gr of TiteGroup loaded to 1.160 on a Dillon XL650 His – 5” STI CRP Edge from Dawson Precision (newly added DP FLGR w/12# recoil spring) 954.8 967.2 966.8 966.5 983.5 961.4 965.5 962.4 965.0 965.3 973.1 979.2 975.7 957.7 955.4 976.6 971.6 974.1 960.9 970.4 959.8 962.8 965.8 971.2 969.7 Average – 967.9 = 174PF Her – 5” STI CRP Edge from Dawson Precision (newly added DP FLGR w/12# recoil spring) 967.9 965.4 969.7 974.8 983.5 966.6 961.6 958.6 964.6 952.9 983.5 978.8 974.1 970.3 977.0 982.7 983.0 954.8 984.8 949.0 981.0 964.1 961.7 957.8 970.5 Average – 969.5 = 174PF This gives me an average of 968.7fps = 174PF for both pistols. Higher than I thought it would be. Math told me 945fps average for the 4.4gr of TiteGroup. Math failed me again Here is the Load Data for 180gr Missouri Bullets on top of 5.4gr of Unique loaded to 1.160 on a Dillon XL650 His – 5” STI CRP Edge from Dawson Precision (newly added DP FLGR w/12# recoil spring) 951.1 980.3 976.7 977.1 989.1 955.7 960.0 964.8 965.3 987.5 962.3 983.1 957.8 993.4 965.0 962.3 976.2 1014 967.0 921.0 972.2 961.1 942.7 949.7 991.8 Average – 969.0 = 174PF Her – 5” STI CRP Edge from Dawson Precision (newly added DP FLGR w/12# recoil spring) 974.4 1009 997.9 985.5 979.3 976.7 962.9 992.4 997.6 970.3 964.5 988.3 964.3 970.8 986.9 962.1 976.4 976.0 994.4 973.6 978.7 960.1 963.1 988.9 986.0 Average – 979.2 = 176PF This gives me an average of 974.1fps = 175PF for both pistols. Again not the result I was thinking I would get. Both loads were hotter FPS wise today than I expected. Both were right around 5fps hotter per grain today. But one test does not a result make so…..boohoo….. guess I’ll have to go back and test these powder weights some more . Keep watch for another round of 50 per powder using the exact same powder weight.
  22. Changed my COAL to 1.160 due to neither one of the STI Edge pistols we own liking 1.180. Both liked 1.160 much better. Went back to the range and did a 50 round test for each powder. I shot 25 through my STI and 25 through my wife’s. I did this as there can be subtle differences in each pistol and this way I can get a load going that will work for both. Here is the Load Data for 180gr Missouri Bullet on top of 4.6gr of TiteGroup loaded to 1.160 on a Dillon XL650 ( New addition to my house ) His – 5” STI CRP Edge from Dawson Precision 972.0 985.9 973.5 993.1 1003 967.7 987.5 998.5 974.5 975.7 992.5 975.1 995.2 1001 986.3 985.0 994.1 972.4 996.2 992.0 976.0 997.7 988.4 987.6 990.0 Average – 986.5 = 177PF Her – 5” STI CRP Edge from Dawson Precision 977.8 1014 983.1 987.9 1005 988.2 968.4 991.2 1015 1001 995.8 987.5 989.7 989.7 1006 996.7 967.7 1003 969.4 967.7 991.2 982.5 970.3 1001 976.6 Average – 989.0 = 178PF This gives me an average of 987.7fps = 177PF for both pistols. I did the math and found that I was getting roughly 214.71fps per grain. Some more math leads me to believe that 4.4gr of TiteGroup will result in roughly a 170PF which is where I want to sit. I have loaded it up and just need to go to the range to chrono. Here is the Load Data for 180gr Missouri Bullet on top of 5.3gr of Unique loaded to 1.160 on a Dillon XL650 His – 5” STI CRP Edge from Dawson Precision (newly added DP FLGR w/12# recoil spring) 902.6 910.4 936.3 903.6 961.4 946.4 944.0 912.4 916.2 924.5 927.0 938.5 955.4 900.0 910.5 941.4 938.7 951.1 940.5 917.3 938.6 925.9 937.4 911.4 983.6 Average – 930.9 = 167PF Her – 5” STI CRP Edge from Dawson Precision (newly added DP FLGR w/12# recoil spring) 932.3 916.4 911.1 923.1 920.2 954.5 916.7 930.5 938.3 911.1 944.3 946.0 930.4 963.0 924.6 932.8 944.1 941.2 941.0 910.4 958.8 953.2 908.5 936.4 914.4 Average – 932.4 = 167PF This gives me an average of 931.5fps = 167PF for both pistols. Did the same math and found that 5.4gr should get me the 170PF that I am looking for. I have 50 more loaded and will update the data after the next chrono session.
