  1. Let me check with the jackass handling the scores to see what he can do.
  2. You may be in luck.......there was a pair that showed up in my area on Sunday.
  3. All of the Saturday and Sunday squads are now full......but we do have several Friday openings available.
  4. Hey Tony - don't worry about all of those M's.......there are currently 6 shooters in SS C-class that you need to worry about (well, you and 5 others in C-class)
  5. Blackberry has software to allow for a quick and easy swap of devices.....the software, loaded on an individual computer, simply backs up the information from the 'old' BB and then transfers it to the 'new' one. However, that could mean your info was left on the transfer computer.....if done that way, might be worth asking to confirm data was deleted.
  6. For a division where we historically can barely get enough people to make it recognized - Single Stack is going to be the division to watch (and shoot in) this year. While the total number isn't exactly large - we currently have 1 GM and 4 M's and another M is threatening to shoot it as well. Also, we are filling up very quick. I am almost about forced to use my overflow squad two weeks from the match. So if you are considering shooting this match, at least on Saturday and/or Sunday, please don't consider much longer...... However, I do have sufficient room on Friday. Look forward to seeing everyone at the match.
  7. I think I"m already on a squad I'm just being all let's just say that I have taken care of you two....... .....just don't have anything other than a text message and something about Tony being braless.
  8. If you and Tony would get your apps in.....we would be at 14.
  9. It is definitely looking good for Single Stack this year - we have 12 registered so far.
  10. Hey everyone, I have been out of town this week and will return tomorrow. So if you have sent me your application, I should have everything entered tomorrow. Thus - if you have not seen your confirmation email from me by tomorrow evening AND you want a t-shirt (or if you think your application is lost), I will need you to email directly. I can get you registered and then you can mail me everything afterwards. Any issues or questions: brad.griffin@gmail.com 615-415-0099
  11. Based on the number of applications I currently have, we are at 9. However, there are a few more coming for which I am aware. So it is looking very good for SS to be recognized this year.
  12. Got your spot reserved with that braless Tony......you will have to ask him to explain that one.
  13. Okay Tony - I just checked my mail box and for some strange reason I have yet to find your application?
  14. It is definitely worth asking....and appropriate. And I will make it easy for you: As of tonight...... Limited-10 2 Limited 35 Open 32 Production 24 Revolver 2 Single Stack 9 Total 104
  15. I am back in town - so those that have sent in applications, you should have your squadding PIN now. And with these two SS apps that are coming, that will make 10.......
  16. Matt and I are heading down. That makes one Revo shooter and three Griffins. Who's the third? :-) And we currently have 8 Single Stack shooters......and no Corey yet. So we are getting very close to finally recognizing SS.
  17. You snag that from Griffin? I hear he has a couple left over from when they were cutting edge in Open..... Na I saved a old Springfield 38 super comp factory open gun. There are still plenty of 10-round open guns out there, even actively being used today.......Hawaii. :-) Funny story on that note - the Hawaiian Reload. In Hawaii, you cannot have magazines that can accept an 11th round and thus when you shoot open, you are reloading like you are shooting Production. So when we would come back to the states, it was an awesome feeling to be able to breakout our 'big sticks,' load mags to full capacity, and enjoy that initial feeling of our ability to shoot and shoot and shoot without a reload. However, there was one small problem that brought that euphoria down real quick......for many folks, at least for the first few stages, we still needed to bring about 10 magazines and 500 rounds to shoot a 20-round stage. The reason - every time we would move, old habits kick in and we would leave a trail of mags behind us.....hence why we self-called those incidents, the Hawaiian Reload. :-)
  18. No they don't, just Lots of Mags and a Sun Dial.... Lots of Mags, yes. Sun Dial, No. I like it when I beat them open guys on stages......it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside Oh yeah, when I started this crazy game back in Norco....it was nothing for us to shoot 40+ round stages and many of us had SS guns. As long as we had a couple steps of room to do reloads, we were not too disadvantaged to the wide-bodies (as they were called then).
  19. I have 5 SS shooters registered so far......and I know we are expecting a few of the KY folks that typically shoot SS. If you can help talk Corey into showing up, that will get a GM into the mix. But I need to get 10 folks so I can get the division recognized.
  20. Having shot the targets when the borders were this big size - I know most REALLY appreciated when we shrunk the size to where we have the NSB's today. The reason we didn't like the old size - you could have a full diameter hit on the target and still have lots of room on both side of the hole (from the outside edge and the actual scoring border). So we would see a full diameter hit that appears to be WELL inside the outside edge.....and yet still get a mike because you nowhere near the scoring perf. With the size we have today, if you see a full diameter hit with any caliber, you know you have scored a 'hit.'
  21. I am wondering if should ask for proof that Gary knows how to count to 12......before we look elsewhere for an answer. :-)
  22. Excluding the verification that you have turned your dot on - "seeing" a sight picture during the 'make ready' portion should not have any bearing on how well you shoot a stage. What is important - getting yourself aligned properly to your draw target. Meaning, draw the gun to your natural point of aim and THEN shift your body so that the sight picture is on the target.....then repeat to verify you have yourself aligned properly.
  23. Yeah - my mailbox has been too empty lately. Help me out. :-)
  24. If you can get the custom ear plugs (like the ones Manny Bragg does), you can get him to make them flush to your ear. That will allow you to wear electronic ears and basically hear somewhat well, yet double-plugged. I personally like the Pro-Ears Gold version because I can hook up my IPod Shuffle to it - and yes, still hear it okay while double-plugged.
