Come on man your picking and choosing what rule you want to apply. 10.4.4a works here. Instead of arguing we will just say you see it one way and I see it another.
-
For your viewing pleasure and to add to the discussion. What does everyone think of this?
I say DQ! He actually gets a reshoot.
Just a side note, this is not me but just a video I watched after I shot this match.
-
What rules are being used?
The angle on the video was close. But if the shot left the back berm I'd say DQ.
Otherwise I would say it wasn't a DQ.
I'd say it doesn't matter if it hit the berm it was an accident (shot that he didnt mean to send down range) he just got lucky it hit the berm!

2.5.4 Unloading any firearm in an unsafe manner, or discharging a firearm while not legitimately
engaging a target.
From FNH 2015 rules. I think that works here.
-
If it wasn't a shot you meant to take doesn't that make it an accident? Who cares where the round goes. You can tell from his reaction as soon as the round goes off. We all pride ourselves on safe gun handling, but mistakes happen. We should own up to them just as the op has!
-
I think this is getting a little to "political". His hand was off the handguard and cheek weld was broken, not that it should matter. Just because it was down range doesn't mean it was at a target, didn't look as if he was aiming. It was an accident, you can see it on his face (it surprised him) Most definitely a DQ.

Yeah, there's a guy at this course that has a POF brake. That dang thing is like a mini flashbang. Nobody can call his shots because it makes you instinctively close your eyes if anywhere close. Especially since we're indoors.
OK, I follow yuou. Yes, so many brakes are so awful on sound.
I'm assuming you live in a state that has some sort of restrictions? Where would that be? I thought flash hiders were the big issue in places like CA and the like, not muzzle brakes.Got mine installed about a week ago and shot it today. It was a very soft shooting combination of parts (Stretch barrel, JP LMOS, JPSCS with 80% spring), but I can't take full advantage because I can't use a comp/brake. I can't imagine how little sight movement there would be with a well designed brake on there.
Nope, I live in Texas so there's no restriction. I'm on a tac team and need a device that directs as much of the blast and concussion forward. I could put one on if I wanted to but don't want the guy shooting next to me to be hindered in any way. I swear some of those brakes have rattled some of my fillings loose having to shoot so close to them.
Maybe give one of these a try?

Maybe try some of these parts. Some of th guys I shoot with seems to love them.

Also look at the CSP 930. I think that might help you the most.

Look at post 4. I have one for my 2011, it does need some cutting but it is very secure.
It also fits my glock, sig, and every other handgund I've tried.

I have both, and use both evenly. If I had to pick one it would be the stoeger just because of it having easier maintenance.
They both shoot slugs point of aim, and shoulder great for me.

Look at the Vortex Strike Eagle. I've never used one but the one I looked at had nice glass.

Anybody know if these would work on the Rock Island 2011?
-
I have a GLS pro and it is a great holster.
I was wondering if anyone has heard or seen one loose its retention and drop a handgun?
-
Didn't know they were plastic. I figured they would be oem coming from the place that sells RIA parts.
-
You can buy them.
They are out of stock.
Or you can buy the base pads and p18 mags.

Really isn't that bad if it is a drop in. If you look at the drop ins for the glock, m&p, and xd's its right on par.
Usually those "Triggers" are a whole collection of parts though - connectors, springs, sears, etc. This is JUST the trigger - and ironically none of the stuff (sear, hammer, etc) that really effect what differentiates a good trigger from a bad.

Looks about the same to me.

I use an ELS belt with the CR velcro under it and i can't tell the difference between the belts.
I did try to drill holes in my CR belt, but I have moved them around enough times i wouldnt have much belt left now if I continued to use it

I think the 1st would be a weapons malfunction. The 2nd are one in the same.
