I have already talked to a few and they confirmed once they have the parts - Two week build time. Maybe two weeks to to do all the fitment work, but I call BS if they have to prep it for finish and send it off for HG or PVD/DLC. That in itself can be time consuming. Heck I might take the CK - They are now talking delivery times for the DVC - that orders placed this month will have a Nov. 2015 time frame for Delivery. I would actually like to compete in open this year. Our match's here stop in Oct.

If the wait is to long I will prob be cancel it and I will go with some of the others and not miss the whole season because of waiting on a seemingly popular off the self gun. However, I am sure either choice I will receive a very solid gun. STI to me just loses major points by not being able to produce a product. Though I am very happy they have so many orders and wish them continued success. I was told in April - So I will not bust their chops until then.

That sounds like almost custom wait times.

The person your dealer talked to should have told them that orders place last Thursday should be delivered around the November time frame. With that in mind - that should theoretically mean - those who ordered at Shot Show should get theirs in April - Those who ordered in Feb would be around should be around August - Those in March November - Sounds like a long wait. Sounding more and more time to look for something else..... Uggghhh.....

this reminds me a gun I was waiting on 6 months to build. I was told it was going to finish 3 times. - Finally got it at the year mark. Disappointing. My personal thought are if you bring it to the shot show and have not done all your testing then shame on you. Just my opion. However, I have a few STI's and have never been let down yet. When I ordered mine Dawson said it would be around the 60 day mark ( April ) so I will not bug them until then. Though like everyone else it is killing me. This will be my first open gun. I am dying to go to the dark side.

The only problem I have had with most vest is them wearing out on the inside - ( This should only be a problem with a sand paper grip. )

Anyone know if the Cheely 90 degree offset mount will work with the open gun? Just wondering if there is enough room with the slide racker

LOL So now it should be time to play........ I like everyone else hopefully will be thoroughly surprised when it comes in. STI is a good company IMHO - They have never done me or anyone I know wrong. I also waited for a Custom Build for a year - Which is why I hate waiting. LOL

Yes. Dustin - When are they shipping the Open DVC's? I am ready to cancel my order. Though I have never been called patient. The season is starting for the shooting sports and it puts all the shooters behind the eight ball. Only thing that is stopping me at this point is that it is a sexy gun. But that will only last so long. Then Cancel.

Same here - I have 12 STI mags - Changed springs, followers and base pads - No tuning needed - They run great
