    Cover?

I agree totally. The SO is supposed to make sure the stages are run correctly and safely. It should not be the goal of the SO to tag as many people as possible with procedurals. Its not fun for the shooter or the SO. I am under the belief that if there is doubt, the benefit of that doubt should go to the shooter. Thats the way i SO anyway.
  2. a lot of women i have seen like the drop-offset holster from comp-tac. It is legal for women in IDPA and can be used for production in USPSA as well. It even gives you the option of paddle or belt attachment with the holster to fit your preference.
  3. My advice is also, whatever your practice speed, shoot 90-95% of that ability and you will do fine. IDPA is not necessarily a game of pure speed, but who can get ZEROS in the least amount of time. Back off a hair, get your hits and you will do just fine. Do not beat yourself buy hitting NT's, getting procedurals, etc. But no matter what, always shoot your game!! For practice, always practice at 110% and shoot matches at 90-95%. Set up drills/scenarios that are way more difficult than what you will see at a match. Makes the matches look easy. That method always helped me improve. (Your welcome Mike )

    Vest

Not yet, but I have ordered one. They look pretty slick and the Sells are good folks and hardcore shooters, so they know what works. I'll update when I get it. I just got my armadillo concealment vest two months ago and have used it in two IDPA matches thus far. Absolutely love it, great vest and worth the price and wait time. Yes, i use Armadillo Concealment vests and love them. They are fitted to your body through measurements, instead of one size fits all. Has your name on it and everything. Many of the top shooters use them, like Gordon Carrell and Morgan Allen. Its hard to argue success!
  5. Legal, it is not a "visible, permanant modification". It even says in the book that internal modifications to trigger, action and reliability are ok.
  6. yes, i have two Glock 34's i bring to every match. They are identical to one another....i.e. sights, trigger, grip tape, etc. Just in case, stinks to drive all that way and pay entry fee and leave the spare at the house.
  7. I guess i just dont see the point in it. If a DM wins, he gets Division Champ and the guy who wins Master class gets First Place Master. If there were no DM class, guess what, the same two guys would still get the exact same Division Champion and First Master trophies! So it does nothing.
  8. Definately read the rule book! IDPA is way different than USPSA, with a lot more rules on COF and equipment....
  9. Use the Wolff 14#. I like the ISMI ok, but they fatigue easy and lose about an 1/2"-3/4" length after 3000 rounds. Also, if using the light striker, use soft primers. I started getting light strikes with CCI after a few thousand rounds also. Went back to stock striker, gun runs like a champ! Just my .02
  10. I have to agree with Brian. There are many shooters that go out and dominate MA class, and will never make DM because there is no venue to do so. And the fact that DM's do not care about plaques is untrue i think. As Brian mentioned earlier, there are DM's that do not shoot in the Division in which they are DM, I think, because they do not want to go a long way for nothing if there is someone there who beats them. There are MA shooters out there that can/have beaten DM's at matches, like at the Southern Regionals. Dean Brevitt was beat by several shooters. Just my opinion.
  11. I dont think you are asking too much at all. Same type of thing happened to me and it made me practice harder. Next thing you know, i was a master level shooter in SSP/ESP within 7 months. Keep at it, you will get there!
