  1. bgary is almost describing how I had the setup at ohio state last year. Only I didnt use the master to enter any scores on. I had... master slave1 - scored stages 1-3 slave2 - scored stages 4-6 slave3 - scored stages 7-9 run in that configuration we had 1 person running for scoresheets, then they were sorted by stages and then entered by 3 people. setup in this way we were able to stay ontop and not get behind, volunteers were not working there ass off, were able to carry on a conversation to pass the time without fear of pressure and making a mistake along the way......everything went smoothly and we were able to get the scores posted in about 6 minutes or so after last shot fired. Just make sure you set yourself up so not to be in a rush here rush there all-day long ordeal......you can make it a nightmare or make it so everyone has fun.
  2. Kyle, I couldnt explain it any better than bgary just did, I used the master with 3 slaves setup, with only the slave machines doing score entering. The master did not do any scoring entering at all. I did not use a slave 'disk' as I setup a network and just retrived the db file from the slaves via the network when I wanted to sync the stats for printing. I also setup all the machines on the 2 printers we had and could print from any of the computers when needed to either of the printers.
  3. Thank god for AFLAK! Prairie dog holes can be a bitch!
  4. Yes. Your not gonna have all the scoresheets at once from the entire match like your normal weekend match. Your gonna be drug out an entire day entering data as it comes up from the squads finishing each stage. Then you may have the dreaded reshoots hope not. but it happens and scores need re-entered, so I recommend you wait a while after the first squads roll thru each stage so as not to have to re-enter the scores again. Then you may have scoresheets not legible that have to be checked against the shooters copy. Takes time to run and ask....it's not something just 1 person needs to be doing, it will need to be a TEAM effort. Just my opinions...... I wont be there this year
  5. I do have a suggestion for this years match, last year in the club house we had approx. 3 power outages per day up there so I would recommend a UPS of some sort for safety to avoid those problems this year if they havent fixed that breaker problem.
  6. Kath...You can set it up the same way i did for last years match if you can find enough loaner computers. I'm sure your quite capable of setting it all up.
  7. I once woke up with my underwear around my ankles, never have figured that one out
  8. My wife and I aren't gonna be able to make it this year, with our move to GA, funds would be just to tight to make the trip back. I hate it, but thats life. I hope everyone has a safe, fun match.

  10. Im slowly picking away at getting the 06 classifiers added to the calculator. Thanks for all the data everyone is emailing me. I still have yet to get my computers setup here at the new house, so is slow going, have to route all new CAT5 and the kids computers naturally get setup first, LOL.
  11. It's still the same way, though the shake downs after live fire arent as rough as they used to be. Back in March of this year a private in the 82nd chemical at ft leonardwood was able to get 3 rounds back into the barracks. Once back he went to the latrine put his weapon on burst and fired 3 rounds thru his head.
  12. rehab and hospital bills.... 100K plus getting your LBV hooked on a Mk19 and having a humvee roll over on ya... priceless

  14. Thats cool Nick. I pass through Statesboro regularly (thats the only way to get from Augusta to Brunswick). Meet ya at the range soon and you and your ex 22/45 can get reaquainted. Thats right, I did ship one of my 22/45's down here to ya. What weekend do they shoot. I live just off of hwy24 where it runs into hwy80 right in behind Statesboro High School
