  1. When On the range some guys bought PPU 9x19 and shot it, two glock pistols did not love it:
  2. Hello guys bbbean: the IPSC in Israel began at early 80's when 3 Israeli pistol-fun shooters went to California for buiseness and they went to firing range. One of them ( Avi MOR) was amazed about the proffesionalizm of IPSC shooters. So all 3 of them started the sport in Israel. The days were bright then in Israel gun -market. Eather you had 1911 colt, 7 round MAJOR or High-power Browning 9x19 minor. that was it. IF you were REAL-DEAL shooter you updated it with sport sights, free- falling mags, extended mag for 8 rounds and was it. So then CZ landed and brought 16-round in the mag at the end of 80-th, then the it was big boom when Glock arrived in 1991-2 I belive. Even Para-ordnance that landed and brought the double stack 45" did not impact as much. But in IPSC lately ( for about the last 5 years) the CZ-shadow and Bull-M5-IPSC pistols is what it counts. At the last 2 years the SVI-STI and Infinity were seen at hands of the top 5 shooters, but still the Israel Production champion that competes with regular CZ-shadow can be as good as ( if not better) to any SVI-STi Major shooter The limitations in Israel are huge. In order to get gun license You have to compete in IPSC for 2 years ( but if you do not have a weapon eather you rent it on the range or ask for a friend), you have to compete at least 4 competitions per 9 month. The limitations of safety - all metal plates/poppers must be at least 15 metters ( 45 feet) away. The muzzle must not flip above the wall ( that would be depending on the range, but it is ussually 30 degrees up- so any mag-change-unloading would be LOW), and muzzle should not flip left or right beyond the "red limmit log". you can chek my chanel of youtube for videos - I videotaped for the last 3 eyars and uploaded to the web. youtube- asimonp79, but I did not videotaped myself for 3 years So Lately when I got to take 2-nd and 3-rd places in Standard devision ( the biggest devision in Israel) people videotaped me so... That is me

  4. Wow I was looking for that info for differences about safety Small question - On ST - the rear sight has LPA cut?
  5. On both of my guns there was grease from factury. I simply taken 1/4 roll of toilet papper, so the equasion goes as follows: (wipe off with TP and trow away)x10 = one gun without a grease
  6. When I began shooting IPSC I got my hands on about anything that is there on the market here. Glock/bull M5 IPSC/Tanfoglio... Then it was a time for my to actually buy a gun and I bought CZ-TS, only 500 after I thought about upgrading it's front sight to fiber and then the aluminium grip and thumbrest, and even when I am done it is still as good as. But finaly when Adam Tyc arrived to range and I saw him shoot ( he shot standard from a regular shadow) and beat everybody by 12% ( he had a bullet stuck in the barrel so he had to stop one stage and get 0 for it and after that he still beat everybody ) So it is really the shooter, not the gun adding pic of my 2 babies: both with my own hands fined http://imageshack.us/f/96/27062011378.jpg/
  7. about dry fire- nicely done But in our shooting range there is a "range law" that if you change the mag and the barrel is that high you can get DQ. Because the wall was not high enough. So the barrel is pointing downrange. It was all funny untli EEO 2010 when on stage 7 around 40 shooters got DQ for changing mags with the barrel angle above 60".
  8. I have a small question here - does anyone uses aluminium mag basepads that add only 1 round at the 40SW? I mean Angus sells +3 basepads, but these do not fit in the IPSC box, so have anyone used the +1 basepads?
  9. Hello I would like to ask small question I shoot IPSC Standard Major - I have 2 CZ-TS pistols and I enjoj them very much One of them is 40SW second is 9x19. I shoot trough the Major 40 SW gun exactly 5000 rounds ( I keep records of ammo used, amount and date). Out these 5K About 2K of Sellor Bellot (factory) 180 gr and 2000- Magtch 180 gr ( again factory loads). The Magtech ammo was 40B and not the 40-PS ( which are stronger one) So after 5000 round my Slide stop has broken and I had it replaced with another one. I have shot another 700 ( 7 hundred) rounds and the brand-new slide stop broke again... The braking point is exactly in the middle of he body ( exactly in the middle under the barrel RAMP) What could be an issue ? You will notice that the slide stop has been rounded at the pedal-pin contact - that is for the tumb rest to fit. But the braking point is not there- it is in the middle thank you and regards from Israel See you at the range
  10. Hello all I am a new guy from Israel. Shooting for 3 years now, my pistol is CZ- TS 40 SW ( I also own one at 9x19) Hope to ask some questions and to share some knowledge see you at the range
  11. Hello I am using CZ - angus suplied 15 LB springs and when I wanted something "heavier" I used the 17LB. Then I wanted to reduce the recoil and bought recoil system from DPM for CZ-TS and one from sprinco, just in case the DPM will not fit. Both ( DPM and SPINCO) working fine, you actually insert it in your recoil spring
