  1. I've got a couple of order. EAA is out at the moment, but I'm sure some dealers/distributors have them.
  2. Hey, thanks for sharing this info. I used to have a Briley barrel in my 9mm in the 90's. They make a good barrel and you could put a sleeve on it to fit it to a newer style gun, like the Limited, Gold Team, Stock II etc.
  3. Got my sink installed the other day and in the mean time I've put in a manual garbage disposer...
  4. I've been having great luck with BearCoat and just started using them to coat my grips. You can check out their website at www.bearcoat.com. Lucky for me, they are only 10mins from my house in Longmont and they do a lot of work on all kinds of guns. I just did all their colors for the Tanfoglio Stock II small frame Production blasters. The colors we can do now are: Black Blue (dark blue, close to navy blue) Red Pink (ladies...) Tan Brushed Stainless Titanium Green My favorites are Titanium and Brushed Stainless. They are very modern tech looking colors that will look good on any of our guns. I'll probably move away from anodizing, just because they require me to do a batch of grips at a time. I'll still use them for the pads, but not for grips. I did really like their "lime green", "pepsi blue" and "maroon red". Very shiny, strong colors. Problem is get the same consistent color each time. Currently their tank doesn't support the lime green. After redoing their tank color for lime green it's totally different. With BearCoat it's the same color every time which means it will be possible to match different alloys; factory parts with my parts to get exactly the same match if anyone wants to say match the scope mount with the pads, grips etc. I've attached pictures of the blue and green they do on my H161 grips which is for the production Stock II pistol. I'll get Emma to take pictures of the other colors later and post them as well. These colors aren't reflected on my shop yet. Something I've got to do soon.
  5. Hey We'll take pics for sure. Not sure who and how many's coming yet, but I know I'll be worn out on Sunday.
  6. I think their 6" is the skinnier barrel so it doesn't have cone. What I would do if I were you... give Rich a call at CanyonCreek and have him put a cone on your barrel and fit it. At the same time, get one of my TiteFit pins and make sure you get that sucker in solid lock-up. It'll help protect your barrel investment.
  7. You need to be here. Guess I better get the big keg then Ken... ;-)
  8. Jake, We'll see if we can fix that this summer some time!
  9. At the last minute we have decided that we need a HenningShop company xmas party and since it's only me and Emma we need to invite people to have a real party. We trudged out in zero degree weather and a foot of snow today to cut a christmas tree for the party. On Saturday, December 27th from 5pm and onwards you are hereby welcomed to stop by if you're in the area. Nothing formal, come as you are. We have a beer tap in the kitchen with my favorite wheat beer (from the Pumphouse Brewery in Longmont) and two guest bedrooms for those who want to spend the night. Stop by for a few hours or party all night, its up to you. Guestrooms are first come, first serve. We will be dressed in 1920's style gangster zoot suits, but you can come as you are or dress up. If you know you're gonna come, give us a call so we know how to plan for food. Plus we don't want to run out of beer. We will have wine available too and probably some soda and water.
  10. Hi Chad I've never broken a trigger bar, but I've worn one out before. Worn out means that the top eventually was "filed" down by the slide movement. All I can think is that the bar I had couldn't have been heat treated. Happened to me on a 9x19 in 92-93 and never had a problem with it since. If you don't want to replace the bar I'm sure you could have it welded by someone. Otherwise I have trigger bars in the store. Easy enough to replace: http://www.henningshootsguns.com/shop/triggerparts.html
  11. Thanks Ken Order #1000 went overseas and with a surprise waiting on him. We're working towards 1100 now. Who knows what next year will bring, I've got things cookin' and ideas btw, Ken... lets try to meet up for a beer next week. I'm coming up to Evergreen to work on different front sights. Monday or Tuesday maybe ?
  12. Thanks Thierry. It's fixed now ;-) I was dead sure I had Belgium in there, sorry for the slip. Also note that this data is from March of this year when I started using Dazzle which keeps track of all previous customers addresses for me. Which is really nice for repeat customer orders. Slowly I'm getting more and more computerized systems in place since my startup almost two years ago. My girlfriend Emma is working for me now, helps me pack and keeps track of all paperwork etc. It helps me a lot and she makes me keep the office a lot tidier.. ;-) As an interesting statistics for me is that about 2/3 of all orders are from automatic online orders and the rest is phone or email orders. Online orders is super nice because all your data for address, payment etc is entered by you. And hopefully you looked through what you need etc so it's easier to get everything right. But, of course I spend quite a bit of time on the phone (unless I'm out of the country which I was last month) discussing options for upgrading your guns and what will fit your situation better. I do have some stuff that's not on the shop and in some cases I'm able to find a solution with some unusual parts I've got laying around. From 17 years of shooting these guns there are some no-longer available or produced parts in my drawers that still can find a use. btw. order #999 was just placed this evening so I'm curious to see who places order #1000.. depending on what and who places the order I'm going to cook up a surprise.
  13. It's in the works, but from a different source. M3.5 is hard to find in the right head size we're looking for. Mcmaster doesn't carry them, but thanks for the input.
  14. Thanks, I appreciate it. Nothing beats doing what you love. Soon I'll be getting on with a new trigger so we can shoot just a little bit better next year..
  15. Since I effectively opened my web shop in the beginning of March 2007 we are any day now reaching 1000 online automated orders ! I would like to thank everyone who have purchased products from me. Since I improved my shipping with "Dazzle" in March 2008, I have sent products to over 500 different customers in the US and all over the world. Countries who have ordered from me includes Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Philippines, Germany, Thailand, France, Holland, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, South Africa, Channel Islands (Jersey), Greece, Estonia, Poland, Singapore, Monaco, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Bolivia, Denmark, Slovakia, Serbia, Guatemala, Spain, Lithuania, Barbados, Isle of Man and Belgium ! Wherever you are, if you own a Tanfoglio pistol.. Even if you're the only one with this gun in your club or your area, know that there are thousands of Tanfoglio owners around the world who appreciates their guns just as much as you do.
  16. I'm just back from my incredible trip to New Zealand and dealing with a cold I picked up on the plane. So maybe I'm feeling dizzy and heavily in fever, but I'm feeling the Christmas coming so here it goes: 15% discount on "Henning" products placed in the month of December. Anything that I manufacture that is a "Henning" product, including t-shirts. They are scattered around the store, so look around for products that I make. I'm also offering 10% off EAA/Tanfoglio factory parts. The discount will be deducted when I receive the order. I charge everything manually and will deduct it after the order is received. You will also receive an email with the original price and the holiday total. To qualify for this BE forum discount, just write "HAPPY XMAS" in the comment box (or something to indicate that you love that Xmas is finally here) ;-) I've also lowered the shipping rates for both domestic and international. All international packages are still insured to all countries that I can do so. Domestic shipping starts at $3.99 and no higher than $8.99 on all orders ! For international, the shipping starts at $14.99. We ship all packages US Priority Global Mail and insure them. Happy Holidays ! btw. if there's something you're looking for that you can't find on the shop, drop me an email.
  17. Thanks for the input. The idea that's in the back of my mind is to make a bigger and better head that is threaded so that either a steel or tungsten straight rod can be screwed into it. That way you will get the best of both worlds and it should a lot cheaper as well to manufacture the tungsten part. Steel will be the 'standard' rod, will be priced well and will offer the improved non-burring product. You could buy this at first and then buy the tungsten screw-on later on etc. At least that seems to be the most versatile solution in my mind.
  18. I think the removable tip is necessary to be able to disassemble. Looks from the design that they've made it as long as possible to maximize the weight. The price is very high for me to bring in and I priced it at the same they sell it for in Euro (120) = USD (150). We can definitely have them made cheaper here in the US, but the big question is what the qtys is going to be. A gunsmith can make you a one-off tungsten. If I was going to make them they would be under $100 no problem. But I'd have to make some and it's not a product I wanna make at this time. It's available now from Italy so just passing on what's available if there's interest. I can bring in 10 or 20 to match demand if there is. I have no plans to redesign or go any further on this idea at the moment. However... I have plans to make an improved steel guide rod. It will have a larger contact surface to the frame which I think is a problem with today's design. When shooting major loads and lighter recoil springs to tune the gun to optimum recoil, the frame tends to create a burr which again causes a binding between the barrel/frame when you try to remove the upper from the frame. This is a problem that can easily be fixed with a different and bigger head on the guide rod. Plus it would be nice to have a stainless steel guide rod that makes the gun look better. It's something in my pipeline that I'll have to have run a lathe and then milled.
  19. Thanks Jake. It's good to be back. And Jake's right on. The whole point is to retain as much weight in the frame (non-moving part) as possible and reduce the weight of the moving part. By increasing the weight of the non-moving frame, the felt recoil is absorbed into the frame mass which we try to retain in the same place in space. Imagine this; if you are driving a small car, let's say... a smart car and crash into a truck the truck won't be set back very much or hardly at all. Same simplified principle for gun/recoil though slightly different of course. Low mass slide and heavy mass frame.
  20. The Limited's are pretty heavy and it'll be necessary to test to see what the gain will be. It's very subjective so it depends on each individual. I think the Match could use the extra weight since it doesn't have a bull barrel and short dustcover. If I had a Match gun I wouldn't hesitate to put it in.
  21. Hey Tungsten Guide rods are available from an Italian after market manufacturer. I've been asked if I want to sell them in my store. They're quite expensive so I'm putting the feeler out there before ordering them to be shipped in. With the current Euro/USD exchange rate the price will be $150. If I decide to bring them in, I'll be taking special orders with delivery within 1-2months? The factory steel guide rod weights 0.9 oz (approx 25 grams). The tungsten guide rod weights 2.4oz (approx 67 grams). The two model guns I see it being useful for is the Match and the Limited models. For anyone shooting the match 40 in major ipsc matches I think it will be a very valuable weight gain in particular and bridge the gap more to the Limited. I'd be very interested in using it in my Limited 40 and see what it does. It's an expensive upgrade and I would like to get some input before I move forward on it. If they are imported, would you buy one? I've enclosed a picture. If you're firm on getting one, please email me directly so that I can start taking pre-orders / special orders. I'll need at least 10 pre-orders before moving forward. btw. good to be back. ;-)
  22. NZ was great. Redwoods was great. SF was great... we have lots of pictures and most of the videos are on Eddie's camera so I'll have to get the shooting vids from him from NZ. I drove him to the airport in Denver this morning. So.. officially back in town and functional. Well, as functional as I get... ;-)
  23. Well so that's it for New Zealand for now. We're sitting at the Auckland airport getting ready to board in an hour. It's been a fantastic trip and to everyone who ever think about seeing this country, just do it ! We've got lots of pictures and videos from the match. We used Eddie's DV camera so we'll have to get everything onto my computer and split it into smaller files for downloads. We'll be in Los Angeles Friday morning, picking up our car and drive up to San Francisco for the weekend. Emma and Eddie haven't been to SF or Redwoods before so figure it's a nice detour and great places to see while we're this far over. For all Facebook shooters I'm sure you can appreciate this. We're making a stop at Facebook which is just outside SF. A customer of mine works there so figure it'll be a cool stop. For all of you who are not on Facebook, join in and you can look me up under "Henning Wallgren" and you can be my friend ;-)) Back in Colorado on Tuesday or so. Available on my cell +1 720 352 1080 around noon Friday. ;-))))) Henning
  24. I used yellow fiber at Area 2 and New Zealand Nationals and it was definitely bright enough. In the morning at 6:50am in Arizona it felt a little too bright, but as the day went on I loved it. I thought a slightly toned down (red for me since I'm color blind) would be good too. The bottom line is that I have to still do the work to pay attention to my front sight. Every time I slack off my attention I'll ship a round off into never never land. There's definitely some fine tuning that can be done with colors and size of front and rear sight. I'll get on with a better rear sight and find a nicely tuned front/rear combination. 90/110 is a classic. I like a lot of light and since the factory's 116 it works pretty good. More combo's will come in the upcoming months. I'll probably make some slightly wider sights as well.
