  1. Considering Dan mailed them they probably have to be inspected by The Postal Inspector, Internal Afairs and The FBI. Maybe this time next year.
  2. Just chalk it up to learning. Keep practicing. Classifier matches look simple but are hard. The regular matches that Dave at MRPC dreams up are fun and challenging. Look forward to meeting you. Jay
  3. Is this Blade Tech USPSA legal ? It looks like it could be.
  4. No No Kevin you have it wrong. It is not make ready, it is Load R Up.
  5. Jay, I will ask you this. Why do you still have to put Cincinnati in the name of the airport in Kentucky? Because the airport didn't want to be in OHIO Cincinnati is also trying to sell Sunkin Lunkin to bail it self out of debt.
  6. Andy We just feel if we did that it would hurt the feelings of the people living in Cincinnati.
  7. OK Sarge. Answer this. Why does Kentucky own the Ohio River? Not Cincinnati or OHIO. When you fly into The Greater Cincinnati International Airport you land at an airport located in and owned by Kentucky.
  8. Let me tell you the real story. The one the OHIO guys won,t reveal. About 10 years ago there was a war between Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Northern Kentucky won. The Cincinnati guys were throwing grenades across the river. The Northern Kentucky guys were running out grabbing the grenades pulling the pins and throwing them back. Now let's see what comments come this way.
  9. Welcome MRPC has great matches and a bunch of friendly helpful members. Practical pistol shooting is addictive. There are many clubs in the area that if you want you can shoot every Sunday. IWL Oxford, Miamisburg, Circleville, Silver Creek Conservation Club, and Bluegrass are all within one hours drive. Starting the last Friday of this month Friday Night Steel at the Fairfield Gun Club kicks off, good practice. MRPC has a Saterday Steel Match one Saturday each month. This is great match.
  10. Kevin thanks for the offer. I will take you up on that. Jay
  11. Well I did just hit the send key, my exam answers are electronicaly on the way. I am sitting here with my fingers crossed. The class was great. Thanks to Gary and Jay for conducting the class. Thanks to Paul Hernandez and The Miamisburg Club for hosting it. Jay
  12. My neighbor has the ultimate security system. It is layered. First a perimeter alarm system. Second a 42 caliber ( tooth ) Dog. Third a number of Gunvault safes around the house. Fourth he is always carrying. And finally some game cams outside the house.
  13. Corey, you are gripping the Yoke on the plane harder than you grip the handle of your gun. Flying is fun. It is the only thing more addictive than shooting. No mater what they tell you the only thing that keeps a plane in the air is dollars. Cool Video. Thanks Jay
  14. Reading between the lines from what has been posted so far plus adding information from a reliable source unbeknownst to everyone Micah has been applying his cerebral prowess to his shooting skill set. Let me explain and again this is from a reliable source. Micah purchased the only copy of the European version of the Book of Armaments as a source of secret load data not known to American Shooters. He put his Tin Foil mad scientist hat on to come up with a concoction to drive his bullets faster. In fact at this point Micah's data indicates his bullet will be traveling at twice the speed of light. Utilizing Einstein's theory of relativity Micah knows that as an object approaches the speed of light time slows down. Going twice the speed of light time must reverse. Micah figures he will have hit the target before he even loads his gun. The heck with the score on the targets any number divided by a negative time will yield a hit factor greator than infinity. Again this is with his Tin Foil hat on.
  15. Corey, Will there be a practice match tomorrow evening 1/26/12? Thanks Jay,
  16. Kevin, Prefnished flooring wears the best. The moisture meter idea is the answer. Two more hints non-scratching knee pads and program your chiropractor's phone number into your speed dial on your cell phone. Good luck. Jay
  17. Kevin, If you are talking about the real deal some hints . First screw down the subfloor real tight. Second scrape the floor with an ice scraper to break any gunk loose and find any nails or screws not flush and fix them. Mark the floor joist on the walls. Put down 15 lb roofing paper. Then chalk the center of the floor joist on the roofing paper. Run the Hardwood 90 degrees to the floor joist. The hardwood needs to cross the floor joist. The best nail drivers are the air assist ones where you use a big mallet and hit the device and the air helps to drive the nail. Make sure you drive nails into each floor joist which is why you chalked them earlier. Start the first row about 1/4 inch off the wall. Keep the ends also about the same from the wall. The first and last rows might need to be face hailed and this is best done with a finish nail gun. Do everything in your power to keep the planks tight before you nail them. Use clamps, bracing off the opposite wall anything to keep it tight. Have the hardwood in the house for at least two weeks before you install it. If you don't the moisture content of the wood might be too wet and shrinkage will cause gaps. Finishing it someone else might chime in on. Jay
  18. I have been shooting the SIG P226 X-FIVE Allround 9MM for two years. At first I was having extractor problems. Another SIG user told me to keep the extractor real clean. After that no issues. I have shot about 16,000 rounds through it these past two years. The recoil spring needs to be changed every 5,000 rounds. The gun likes grease because of the close tolerances. Go to the SIGforum and look at Folks lubrication guide. I have been shooting USPSA with the gun. I got lazy and bought some 10 round magazines. The gun does not like these. After a mag change I had issues feeding the first round from these magazines. The gun uses all P226 magazines. I have been only using Mec-Gar magazines. Interestingly I switched to wood grips because the factory grips were to small for my hands. I put a Dawson Fiber Optic on the front.
