  8. They are referring to using a case gauge to see if the casing is bulged or will not fit into the barrel. I only gauge for big matches and use the barrel of my gun. It is the best way because the case gauge will not be the same size as the barrel.
  9. we are in the process of starting the plant up tonight. we had to replace 7 of our cooling water tower fan shrouds. we should be the first one on the gulf coast back up. hopefully that will keep the gas prices down a little bit. i have to register with the galliano police to even enter the island. from what i can see it is still standing but will have to be knocked down and rebuilt because of the water damage. gonna have to salvage my fishing poles and what ever we can get . gonna go monday. later
  10. good to hear from you chris. glad that you are ok. we are doing fine. i dont have internet access except at work. gonna go get what is left of my camp in grand isle in the morning. you could pull some strings with entergy to get the lights back on (i know that you are high up there stay safe and i will call when i can.
  11. talked to tom a little while ago everyone is fine. he is in lafayette and ramona is still at university hospital in n.o. they lost the shop and 2 homes. he has spoken to some of the other shooters and they are fine also. i think max sr is in georgia with m2. if i find anything else out i will let you know.
  12. i am sure that gary did not realize the conflict with the miss. match. i am also sure that everyone will get a refund or we will reschedule the date. please be patient for the next few days because of the lack of electricity and cell phones.as soon as they get there email back they will respond but we dont know how long that will take.
  13. I have not made contact with anyone . Tried to call Gary and could not get thru. You can not get anywhere close to New Orleans I still don't have electricity at the house and I am staying with family in Baton Rouge. IfIi find out anything I will try and post tomorrow.
  14. there is complete devistation from laplace and east to mobile. the area where tom duchemann and joe camprie have there shops are under about 12 ft of water!! i haven't heard from anyone yet but gary was in schreveport and is headed home. there is little cell phone usage because of the down towers. i think the range is in good shape but there is a lot of damage around it. in my opinion there will be no match but wait and see what gary will say. please keep everyone down here in your prayers. there may be no power in new orleans for about a month or longer.
  15. will this trigger job work with win. small rifle primers?
  16. A few years back a partner and i were running each other thru a couple of field courses. At the end of one of his runs he had a round stuck in the chamber. He turned away from me little to put a little force into getting it unstuck and as he did i heard a muffled pop. He just stood there as i kept asking if he was alright . When he turned around he was bleeding from the chest and had gouges in his glasses from the brass. When i r.o. i will let the round drop to the ground and always stay a little back from the shooters. If it is a match that i dont know alot of the shooters during my walk thru i always ask not to flip the round in air and catch it.
  17. bambam it is offset so the brass can clear the bottom of the mount and the ejection port to keep from trapping it since it sits low to the slide.
  18. g+16 there are still openings left. you can email or call gary or neal and they will answer your questions. hope to see you there!! gatbullets@cajunnet.com or 985 446 0093 jmeltd@bellsouth.net or 985 447 6647
