  1. Only 500 rounds with it so far. Fairly consistent OAL, within a couple thousandths. Crimper works fine. Now for a Mr. Bullet Feeder.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I just got a little thrown off by all the different parts, I'm used to the Dillon dies. The extra part was a seating stem for flat points. The lock nut I was referring to is the seat adjust lock ring. I found an exploded view on line and got it all figured out.
  3. I just picked up a Hornady seat/crimp die and the micrometer stem for my Dillon 650. I went with this setup because I plan on adding a bullet feeder this summer. I run a couple different 9mm loads so thought the micrometer adjustment would be nice. A couple question. 1. When I remove the original seating stem and install the micrometer stem, do I keep or remove the lock nut? 2. What is that extra shaft included with the seating die?
  4. I'm currently using .471 for Bayou and Ibeji 230gr coated bullets. I have seen variations in factory ammo from .469 - .473. Just find which works best for you.
  5. Is it cheaper in the construction or the attachments it comes with? Looking online the actual holster part looks the same. The Revolution line is injection molded plastic, the standard Bladetech's are formed Kydex.
  6. Figures. I already got the 10 rounders from CZ Customs.
  7. Actually, neither one is compatible with the TS. http://czcustom.com/cz-aluminum-base_pad-10_round_long_length.aspx http://czcustom.com/cz-aluminum-base_pad-10_round_standard.aspx
  8. Has anyone tried the aluminum basepads for the 10 round CZ mags from CZ Customs? What I want to know is do the standard ones stick out at all from the magwell? And do the Long ones fit in the production box? In my case they would be used in a SP-01 Shadow Target. Would like some input from anyone who has tried them as they are a little pricey to experiment myself.
  9. There's also Garrett Industries Silent Thunder line. http://www.giholsters.com/belt-holsters-owb/
  10. NJ law says that's a no go. I figured that would be my best option, I ordered 6 of them.
  11. I will be picking up my Shadow Target in a couple weeks and would like some input on mags that are available. The main issue of course is that I am in NJ. 15 round limit. The only options I see are the CZ 10 rounders and the ProMag 15 rounders, neither of which have the best of reputations. The gun will be used for USPSA production and some Steel Challenge. So, which of those two am I better off with, or am I missing another option?
  12. They are also very prone to breaking. Stick with ss.
  13. S&W Pro Series http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_789547_-1_775658_757896_757896_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_766209_-1_775658_757896_757896_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y
  14. For me it was an easy decision. New RO, flat trigger, trigger job, and a couple other enhancements, still cheaper than a Trojan and I don't have to look at that ridiculous roll mark or plastic trigger.
  15. Midway has CCI and Winchester SPP in stock. 5k limit on each. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/332027/cci-small-pistol-primers-500?cm_vc=S014 http://www.midwayusa.com/product/180042/winchester-small-pistol-primers-1-1-2-case-of-5000-5-boxes-of-1000?cm_vc=S014
  16. Check the Vihtavuori table for starters. http://www.lapua.com/en/products/reloading/vihtavuori-reloading-data/relodata/6/20
  17. S&W Pro series in 9mm here, Tripp mags. It just runs and runs and runs. It's my second favorite gun, just slightly behind my Springfield TRP.
  18. Thanks for the replies. I'm going to try the 3.4 Clays @ 1.125, and go from there. Now, if my permits would just come in so I can pick up the gun. I hate NJ.
  19. Thanks. Hogdon's starting load is 3.4 @ 1.125 and I'm not sure that will run the gun with stock springs. I guess I'll have to wait until I pick it up and try a few loads out. The gen4 Glocks have a dual recoil spring setup, I haven't seen lower weight springs for them. Besides, I would like to keep the gun stock, it's primary purpose is not going to be games, I just want to bring it out every once in a while to become and remain proficient with it.
  20. Currently I load for 9mm and 45. I have a G23 gen 4 sitting at the LGS waiting to be picked up. I have a couple thousand Extreme 165gr RNFP bullets and would like to find a nice soft shooting minor load to familiarize myself with this gun(I'm used to my 1911's). Something good for a local steel match or USPSA production. I have Clays and Titegroup on hand but, have access to some W231 or N320 if I can't use what I have.
  21. I went with this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dillon-XL-650-missed-Primer-fix-/281138617866?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41752ade0a Not crazy about the O-ring but, the ski jump is made of steel and is very well made.
  22. Press came in on the 6th. Order complete!!! 4 months, two days.
  23. Ordered through a local distributor. Turns out there was a problem with the order. The last invoice has everything checked off as shipped, only problem is that the press was not listed on the invoice. He called Dillon and they appologized for the error and will put a rush on the press. Apparently, a rush is 2 to 3 weeks.
  24. Ordered a 650 on Feb. 4th.........Still waiting. Everything is in and has been for weeks but, the press itself has not arrived yet.
