  1. I've had my Pro 1000 for a little over a month and have noticed when I pull off the powder measure and disk there is powder (Titegroup) spilled where the disk moves back and forth. Is this common for Titegroup or the powder measure in general?
  2. I love Brownell's but they really need to redesign their website. It is so difficult to navigate. I understand that they have a ton of inventory but so does Midway and they manage.
  3. I have been looking for the same solution for the past couple months. I'm curious to see the replies as well...
  4. I've had mine for a weeks now and have been pleasantly surprised. I wish it would stay on a little longer before the Auto-Off feature kicks in.
  5. Do you recheck your powder drop after you leave the press sit?
  6. I don't remember, it was over 40 years ago! I hate buying factory ammo, and love custom tailoring ammo for my own purposes. Mike Thanks for all the tips. I think it is the little things that really help the new reloader become more proficient faster.
  7. I just started reloading about a week ago and finally got a chance to shoot some of my first batch. WOW what great feeling when you fire that first round and everything goes perfect. Followed by the next hundred rounds without incident and picking up the brass to repeat the cycle of life. It would be nice if everyone shared what apprehensions they had when they first began reloading so others can learn, and have an easier time starting the other half of competition shooting. For me it was adjusting the dies for the first time (took way more time than actually needed). One morsel of information I can pass on with my very limited knowledge. Is when setting up the bullet seating die, I used a factory loaded round as a guide for OAL (assuming you are not trying to load long) From someone that did not have a mentor to show them in person how to reload, this forum became a great source of knowledge and inspiration. I just want to give back and look forward to reading the responses. -Jared
  8. I am interested in mag pouches for a XDm 40.....
  9. When I shoot at my public range the ROs main purpose is to sweep up my brass as soon as it's fired. When I ask them to leave the brass so I can pick it up they look at me like their purpose to be at the range has been taken away. I think my age (23) takes them by surprise or they really enjoy sweeping brass. I would rather not shoot there but I have no contacts with the local private range (Hansen in Port Charlotte) if anyone would be so kind.
  10. I thought looking cool was the most important thing? Note to self: Look cool first Then go as fast as possible. jk
  11. Wow, that is pretty unbelievable. This definitely helps me make my decision for my 3G AR that I'm building.
  12. So far: FN SLP 22in (still need to get an extended charging handle, a few more shell caddies ( I have one CCW 6rd that I'm not entirely pleased with), Extended Briley chokes XDm 5.25 .40 Custom built AR from 4yrs ago that I am slowly building for 3G. Still missing a 16 or 18inch barrel with at least mid length gas system, Flat top upper receiver, optics(either glass or iron), free float tube (looking at the Nordic 12", MI 12" and Troy TRX 13") Random stuff- deciding on a decent holster for the 5.25, I just picked up a CR Speed belt off the Classifieds yesterday. Already have a bladetech double mag pouch and two AR Mag pouches from Brownell's I am extremely close to being done with the gear selection process. Any suggestions would be awesome. -J
  13. Mostly USPSA and eventually 3Gun once I get comfortable with matches. Just slowly getting my equipment squared away before I get started. I know I know "run what I brung" but that is not really how I like to do things.
  14. Hello to all, I have been reading and soaking up info for the past few months and plan on going out to my first match in April. Thanks for the info. -J
