Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. MILDOTS, did you get a chance to take it out yet? Any pics?
  2. skdmrklcy, congrats. It looks like it's going to be a ton of fun.
  3. Are you right handed? Are you using your right index finger to press the mag release now?
  4. My friend has a Vanek trigger in his Glock 34, which he said measured at 2.5 lbs. It was light and very smooth with a short reset. After getting a feel for the trigger pull, I shot it well.
  5. I have used Gen 3 Glocks, and they've been flawless. I'm in the process of researching my first Glock, and I am leaning toward a Gen 3 model.
  6. I've used "Bright Sights" gun sight coating/paint, which I picked up from my local gun shop. Brownells also sells it. It worked great. I tried to post a link, but I received an error message due to being new with a low post count. Good luck.
  7. I caught that episode, and the Salient 34 seemed to work great for both competitors. I didn't care for the gold color scheme that they used. I can see it being a good gun for action matches. I do not currently own a 34 but will get a stock model soon.
  8. I enjoyed your pics of your build from a stock Glock to a nice open pistol. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Hi everyone. I wanted to check in and say hi. I started shooting as a little girl with my dad. Now years later, I am starting to get involved again. I hope to interact, learn and communicate with members here regarding the shooting sport. I am thinking about getting involved with action shooting matches like IDPA and USPSA. I have a single action .45 1911 presently but am researching a striker fired pistol, such as a Glock or an M&P. Well, I'm off to browse the forum. Thanks!
