  1. Well I just took the plunge and I bought a CZ-75 SP01 Shadow custom (2014). Now I'm looking into what I'll need to get this gun ready for competition. I've got the holster, belt and pouches figured out but I'm interested to hear your opinions on what mags or mag / baseplate combos you guys prefer. Are you running standard SP01 mags? Or something else? Any advice would be highly appreciated.
  2. I'm specifically looking for a SP01 Shadow. The Accu would be nice but I'm not stuck on it.
  3. I saw the one on gunbroker. Pretty high buy it now price but I may go that route. Of course 3 months isn't to bad of a wait. I guess my best move would be contacting CZC & Automatic Accuracy. I also noticed a couple shadows and SP01 shadows on there. I'm not stuck on the Accu model, I'd prefer it but I'm not stuck on it.
  4. I realize these are extremely hard guns to find, and I figure this has been asked 20,000,000 times by now but here it goes anyway. How often do these guns become available? And how would one go about securing one? I'm shooting a Sig P226 X5 Allround right now (which I love) but I shot an Accu-Shadow today and I quickly decided it was time to get one. I've never tried to find one these "hard to find" production guns before so any help would be appreciated.
  5. Great match!!! Thanks to all of the staff and everyone else that made it possible!!! Let me add, the moment of silence today before shooting started to honor Memorial Day, pure class folks. I was just as impressed by the people as i was the match itself. I will be back next year.
  6. Okay, I admit it, I'm still a Sig newb. I've got my X5 Allrounds trigger where I want it, I installed a 17" hammer spring and SRT kit. I added a new front sight, Dawson FO. But I'm not 100% sure about changing recoil spring weights. My gun has the dual spring RSA, can I use a standard P226 recoil spring on the "forward half" while leaving the lower half, the "buffer", alone? Or does this gun require entirely different recoil springs? And what weight recoil spring do you guys suggest (147gr 9mm, 139pf)?
  7. I have to say that the folks at Gray Guns do great work. I got their reduced reset comp duty package and the trigger is 100% better. Fantastic. FWIW I like my Bladetech DOH holster, but am thinking about trying the Safariland ALS low or mid holster for more retention assurance for 3-gun.I bought an installed the SRT, changed the hammer spring to a 17# Wolff, did some minor polishing, and installed a FO front sight. Did it on my own and I think it came out pretty good. I'm sure Grays is better, but I didn't want to wait the 10 week lead time. I have matches scheduled now so waiting really wasn't even an option.
  8. Got mine today. 100% impressed so far. Of course I'm not going to give a big review after just trying them on. After OH State I'll know if I like them.
  9. Just jumped on this bandwagon myself. I ordered a pair of Speedcross 3 CS's from Amazon.
  10. Deleted, had a question, found the answer. Ordered the wrong mainspring.
  11. Yes, I have been using Wolff hammer springs, but I am currently using the Gray Guns spring. Feels pretty much the same. I've had zero problems with the Wolff though. Thanks again! I'm going to order a few hammer springs right now. Thanks to the OP for allowing me to briefly hijack his post. We now return you to your regular programming.
  12. Thanks! Are you using Wolff hammer springs?
  13. Not trying to hijack your thread but does the 17# hammer spring make that big of a difference in trigger pull weight? I just ordered a P226 X5 Allround, I'm looking for the best way to lighten the trigger. Ordered the SRT and a few different weight recoil springs. Should I order some hammer springs also? Or should I just leave it alone?
  14. I decided I didn't want to pay an additional $300 + shipping either. I'm going to install an SRT kit myself. One would think these would be standard on the X5 Allround. But for me the fact that it's not isn't a deal breaker. My main reason for buying the gun was the longer sight radius and the heavier weight. If I can get the trigger on my X5 to be as good as my 226 Elite I'll be happy with that. Anything better than that will just be a plus.
  15. I haven't decided whether or not I'm gonna send mine to Sig, Grays, or if I'm going to do it myself but I am most likely going to install the SRT. Sigs have a really long reset typically, unless the SRT is installed. I'm going to shoot the gun first to be sure but I'm almost positive that will be a necessary change. Does it void the factory warranty if I install the SRT? Sig sells them so I don't see why it would. For a holster I bought a Bladetech Black Ice OWB holster along with the BOSS hanger from Ben Stoegers Pro Shop. Next question. Does anyone know the stock sight height on the X5 Allround? I'm going to install a fiber optic sight in the front and I want to get the correct height. I was going to send it to Dawson Precision to have the sights installed but I think I'm just gonna buy a sight tool and do it myself.
  16. I've decided to stick with the original 226 Allround 9mm. The reason I decided to buy the new gun was because of how well my 226 Elite Dark fits my hand. I don't want the new ergonomics. Now, what holster to buy for the 226 Allround for USPSA production? Looking at a standard bladetech OWB belt holster and a maybe a BOSS DOH hanger.
  17. I'm sure this has been covered but I couldn't find it so here it goes. Are the new X series Allround (AKA X5-E Allround) pistols legal in USPSA production? I'm trying to decide between the P226 X5 Allround and the new X5-E Allround but I want to be sure the "E" is legal. Also, what (besides obvious external differences are there? Does the new X series Alllround have the SRT? Does it even need it? What other differences are there between these two pistols?
  18. I'm not a new shooter but I am new to the XDm. I picked up a 5.25" XDm 9mm yesterday and I'm planning to shoot it in production in 2014. So, who does the best trigger work? What other modifications would you suggest that will improve performance but not make the gun illegal for the production division? What bullet weights are giving you the best performance in your 5.25's? I've got my eye on a company already that (according to my searches here) seems to be the preferred company of the XDm crowd, but it never hurts to ask and I'm open to any and all opinions and advice. Thanks in advance.
  19. My new 9 major from Brad at Blackdog Gunworks. P/T frame, STI slide & grip, Bedell SS comp, etc etc etc. Love this gun!
  20. FP-10. Ran my gun through 2 practices, shot new loads over a chrono, and shot 3 matches before cleaning it and it just kept going and going. Not sure if it was the lube or just the gun but something was working well so I'm not gonna switch.
  21. Very similar to what I'm considering. Any issues with reliability?
  22. Thanks guys. I ordered a few 13# Wolff, 14# Wolff, and a couple Glockworx 12# springs to test. I have a 15# Wolff in there now but I think that's a bit heavy for my minor power factor loads. I figured asking was fine but testing would be better.
  23. What weight recoil spring are you guys running in your 34's for shooting minor PF in production? What weight bullet are you using? What's your power factor? .
