  1. It's not there. I even looked to see if it was in the seams of the box. It is not anywhere.
  2. Quick question. I have searched the web but can't find the answer. I just bought a new RT 1200 from an individual that is brand new and never been used. The cords are still wrapped from the factory and I don't think the box was ever opened. I have looked for the blade high and low and can't find it. I have contacted the seller who is a good guy and he never took anything out of the box. My question is does the trimmer come with a blade or do you have to buy it separate? The trimmer is immaculate and in the original box with all the vacuum parts in their separate bag, I just can't find the blade or it's retaining screw. Probably a dumb question but would appreciate an informed answer:) Thanks, mk
  3. Thanks for the replies. I did what y'all suggested and backordered with Brownell's.
  4. OK, guys my Googlefu is not with me tonight. I have been trying to find a site to order some S&W 627 revolver extractor springs for the past two hours. Not available at Brownell's , Midway or Numrich. I looked on the S&W site but can't find a place for ordering parts. Where is a place to order something like this? Thanks and I apologize in advance if this is too basic a question. m
  5. K, I just went throught this very senario. I had tweaked the Hornady to the max and spent 50% of my time fiddling with it. I now have a 650 and there is no doubt that the case feeder is orders of magnitude better because there is no time the case is not supported in the Dillon on the way to the number 1 station. It is taking me some time to get adjusted but when you get it in the groove the thing rocks and you can load without stopping except to replenish primers. I'm very happy I made the change. Sold my LNL and casefeeder to defray the cost of the new setup to another reloader who already had one and he was happy to get it so it was a win win. Go for it.
  6. I don't normally use case lube. I tried a few times with Hornady one shot and powder stuck to sides of case. I probably didn't let it dry long enough before using.
  7. Just a follow up. I did receive a new #5 Shellplate from Dillon today. mk
  8. Agree, Mike the tech I talked to seemed very surprised.
  9. And I wasn't implying you did something wrong, I would just think, even if the shell plate had a manufacturing defect or weakness, you would have noticed when it happened if you were watching what you were doing. But, maybe your attention was elsewhere when it happened. Sure, certainly possible.
  10. And I'm not saying I didn't do anything wrong I just don't recall doing anything wrong. I told the tech at Dillon if it is something so abnormal that it could only be done with excessive force on my part then let me just buy a new shell plate. But I can't for the life of me remember doing anything like that. I have a Dillon 550 and have never had a problem like that.
  11. I have no idea how it happened. I don't remember any force being applied to the press. I have not reloaded in a couple of weeks and just went out yesterday to prepare for an upcoming match and noticed the tipping cases. I'm sure Dillon will replace. I was just posting in case anyone else had similar problems.
  12. Talked to Dillon and they want to me to mail it to them as they don't normally send out shell plates. So I'm in that process. Hopefully, will get a replacement shortly. Just a FYI. mk
  13. Ha, funny you should bring this up. Been going through the same thing with a PSA upper. My other AR uppers eat everything I feed them but this chamber is tight on the PSA. Shoots new ammo just fine but some of my reloads jam it so tight I tore up a charging handle trying to unload. Someone on our local site sent me this thread: http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=6&f=42&t=269522 It makes a lot of sense so I ordered tonight a Wilson case gauge and a RCBS SB resizing die. Hope this helps. mk
  14. Whoever is writing for this show is brillant they talk about concepts and beliefs that I have rarely ever heard mentioned anywhere else. But is IS dark. I don't even ask my wife to watch it with me. She wouldn't be able to take it. I barely can.
  15. I agree. I have ordered several products from them and they are great. Dan always responds promptly with any question I have and is willing to help in any way. I'm trying to get him to do dust covers for the Hornady presses since the Hornady ones are so lousy. Just got the bin barriers from him and they are awesome. The Skylight is really nice as well. Like CMD says whatever they make for your press is probably needed. Make slife easier. mk
  16. Thanks, Scotty. Their website does say they are not taking in any new work as Pat said but certainly worth a call. Appreciate the reply.
  17. Ordered from Brian on Monday late afternoon and got 550B and several accessories today--less than 4 days. Great service and Brian responded to some clarification questions within a couple of hours and help me decide on some extras. Ordering from this site is the way to go. mk
  18. When you order from Brian do you get a shipping number from Dillon or does it just show up one day?
  19. Thanks for the help, guys. Rudy came through. Great guy and even sent them prior to me paying him. Finally, found some plain Clay's at a gunshow north of here so should be set. Learned alot for y'all suggestions. Appreciate you. mk
  20. Thanks for the reply Mike and the info on the crown. Are you saying you recommend Clark's? Being a brand new revolver shooter I'm not in a class where I would probably notice a .25# trigger pull difference. I now my trigger pull now is long and hard and reloading is a pain (likely from inexperience) but also for needing a cylinder chamfer. Looking for a reliable, quick competition job. mk
  21. Thanks, SB. I will try to locate him and give him a call as well. Appreciate all the replies. mk
  22. That is it. I hope that is a tongue in cheek remark about "pretty good with revolvers":) Thanks, I will give them a call and see what there wait time is.
  23. Hi, guys. Just started into revolvers and have a 627 38 super that needs trigger job, hammer bob and cylinder chamfer. I live in Central Mississippi and the local guru has retired and not taking any more work. I email Mike Carmoney yesterday and he is not doing the work any longer. Apex is not taking this kind of work. There is a company in Princeton, Louisana that I can't find the name right now that does the work and I was wondering if y'all had any rec for them or someone else around this area. Thank you, mk
