Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I've got the Jager extended in my G35, seems to tame some of the climb, maybe a mental thing. I feel my follow ups are faster though.
  2. I'll try a few of these solutions. I've got hash marks in red sharpie to indicate the last 5 primers are about to go. Thanks for the responses!
  3. Does anyone else have the very last primer hang in the magazine tube? Mine does it somewhat randomly... 99th falls fine, 100th gets hung behind the primer tube 'stick' follower and then magically appears a few pulls later. Kinda weird, so I thought someone else might've had this experience. TIA
  4. Are you referring to the skylights fr Dan at Inline Fabrication? I'm very happy with my I.F. setup.
  5. Ah.. the joys of life, liberty and loading our own ammo! Hornady sent me free parts within a few days, including the updated 'cam' wire/spring that guides the primer slide in/out on cycles. I went ahead and backordered the other SPP/LPP parts for just in case...
  6. Once again, the RED kool-aid team has handled my issue. I backordered some more spares just in case
  7. Yes! Looks like they superceeded the old style to part number 213386. Thanks!
  8. " got a 'but' " ? Did your bar have a funky bend afterwards? I made the switch over to the SPP setup, hopefully I can continue to load some SPP brass I have left laying around to tide me over til Hornady hooks me up.
  9. My primer slide was acting Wonky last nite after a smooth 100 round run, started on the 2nd round of 100 and towards the very end the slide started to lock up on the up stroke. I couldn't find the problem, primers fed etc... then 'crack' went the slide. Looks like my LNL primer 'bar' was bent too, which aid's the slide action. CRAP. Hopefully Hornady will take care of this. That slide is really not very solid and cast aluminum (very porous). The arm/bar needs a re-tweak, hopefully I bent it back to the correct angles. Anyone else have this issue before? My primer slide area was free and clear of any gunk, and primers were feeding smooth.
  10. I've used mine at least 10 times in 30 days, and it requires a lil shake/dance rhythm whilst vibrating. Last nite I had my wife watch my technique, since she was completely discouraged with the VP the first time she tried using it. I have yet to try with SPP (cci brand)... but LPP (any brand thus far) has been a slightly 'trying' experience.
  11. Just some added thoughts and questions to the LNL fans and users out there in cyber space.. My bench is at 36", and the press mounted direct at this time. I'm a short statured person, and I notice that I'm bending my neck (no soreness yet) and get a straight view into the mouth of each case at powder drop. The InlineFab mount raises things 9-5/8ths" up, so that would put the handle at shoulder height for me. Would that cause any rotator cuff issues? Right now I'm able to slightly lean into the forward stroke to get the 'feel' that I want, but I don't wanna cause discomfort in my neck in the future. Anyone notice a difference from direct mount vs. raised? Thanks in advance..
  12. I had my wife (not cheap labor, lol) crank a few hundred 45's out last nite, and she really enjoyed the leverage and action of the new handle, although I did catch her overdoing the downward motion. The new lighting allowed her to be vigilant on the powder station with ease. I plan to buy the raised mount/platform similar to the Dillon strong mount in the near future.
  13. rockymountainreloading and xtreme are starting to show stock for projectiles.
  14. First post here, still learnin and loadin. I'm very happy that I finally made the plunge into reloading. Just working on 45acp thus far, with 230g Berrys and RMR Copper. W231/Hp38 has been nice and soft for paper and steel fun shoots. I wanted to also give some praise to Inline Fab's Ergo roller handle and 'skylight' setups. I've used a friends Dillon 650 without this type of lighting, and I can really see the 'light' clearly on my press. It helps me verify a normal charge in each case, and gives me extra peace of mind without a mechanical nanny device. I'll probably get the re-painted Dillon LPA soon, color matched for the Red Kool-Aid press fans.
