  1. This doesn't officially exist yet - not all clubs have received the new book yet and even when they have the new classifiers cannot be used until the new version of the scoring program is distributed.

oops ... I'm never going to get classified in open.

  2. I use Oakley Slate Iridiums in my Half Jackets. There is not a lot of tinting on them. The most important part is the polarization. This helps cut down the glare but does not darken the vision.

  3. Ahem. I would like to file an arbitration.

Too late. The arbitration request came after 11.23P.M. You of all people should appreciate the one-hour scoring protest period.

  4. The smell of burned gunpowder in the morning.

The sound of a slide being racked.

The sound of a magazine engaging during a reload.

The sound of a bullet hitting steel.

  5. I agree on the angle thing- the only 2 acceptable ways to wear a ball cap are straight front and straight back. Anything else should be vigorously slapped off the head of the wearer.

    Whatever happened to free-style?

  6. I had no idea that TGO had posted something similar earlier. Now I feel like an idiot.

Don't feel like an idiot. I think I might be in idiot. I'm trying to find where I first saw that subject, and so far yours is the only place I can find. That's what I get for posting before I've had any coffee. Only a little better than posting after I've started on the beers. Apologies ...

    "Don't drink and post."

  7. 1 back sight, replace at cost

1 cylinder, replaced at cost

Smith & Wessson checked out gun and said don't do that anymore <_<

    plus 50 bucks labor....

Having all your fingers ... priceless.

I'm glad you're okay too. I would listen to the S&W guys. "Don't do that anymore."

  8. Too, as long as sights, caliber and configuration are identical, and with the prior approval of the Rangemaster?

Exactly. Changing from fitted to velcro or plastic snaps is very bad. Definitely a problem for changing from brushed cotton twill to a wool or mesh-backed.

  9. You might want to try that in practice first before you try it in a match (especially with a @#$%^ no-shoot covering half the target in a weak-hand only string!)

Hunting for the dot during weak hand was exactly what I was thinking about. Definitely have to try it in practice first.

ps. of course if I dry fired more and worked up my weak hand index the way it should be I wouldn't have to come up with stupid ways for making up for not practicing enough ...

  10. I don't care how you wear the hat as long as you don't change during the whole match. Larry

I don't see how this is a problem as long as the change was made in the safe area.

  11. I'd like to think that the desire to hit the target (while being aware of the sights) will giude the shooter toward good fire control. But, it likely needs to be addressed as a seperate issue.

Totally. It's the difference between driver's education and driving on the freeway. When you first get into the car it's all about here is the steering wheel, here is the break, here is the turn signal, then let's drive and stay between the lines. Later on you go where you need to go without thinking about turning the wheel or stepping on the gas. You just do it. You drive. After driving for awhile most of us end up with enough excess ability to occasionally flip the bird at people (you know, the finger.)

You bring whatever fire control you have practiced/developed with you to the match and run it to the edge of its envelope. If you push it too far you crash and burn. If you don't push it enough, you're not going as fast as you can which is just silly. You don't work on fire control at a match, or even during practice stages. You work on fire control when you are bench rested or standing still shooting groups. After that, it is what is until you work on it some more or gets worse if you begin to neglect it.

  12. Its like telling the Swedish bikini team to put their clothes on...

    :unsure::huh::o:angry:

Bite your tongue! I'm shocked anyone could even think of such a thing! I have not seen or heard of any talk banning "showboobing." Clearly this is not the same as "showboating."
