  1. (I've had an opportunity to shoot the Foxtrot Mike uppers and I'm impressed.) Did you happen have opportunity to get an impression of function there trigger and bolt carrier, spring/buffer function? Thank you for the response above
  2. In process of putting together parts list to build complete upper , after reading this thread I have interest. Does anyone have feedback of performance of complete upper only? I want to give shout out to KE Arms I was a blessed recipient of there Lower receiver at the AZ state championships, They were the Primary sponsor of the match. If they made a side charge upper receiver I would likely be purchasing from them.
  3. Interested to find single stack grips that fill the hand. Who makes them
  4. I would be somewhat surprised if he shoots heavy metal this year because he's been shooting tac scope. hoping somewhat soon I am going to be able to give my new brake a test run. hopefully I will be shooting the Multi gun on Saturday and rifle onlyrifle only Sunday. darn work keeps messing with bangsdarn work keeps messing with this things, bit of a mixed blessing
  5. not sure if I can do more for managing the recoil with my 6 foot almost 160 pound frame. if I don't get things right I definitely notice a difference. in particular shotgun. if I'm engaging several targets from a stationary position hammering shotgun moves me. if I'm engaging several targets from a stationary position hammering leaning into it by the time I've sent 5th or 6th shot I'm not leaning so much. thank you for sharing the load info. the lowest I've been able to find the Sierra varmiters is about 22 cents apiece but you can't get them in bulk you have to buy 100 pack which I kind of find strange it being a varmint bullet
  6. received my break in very short order thank you! do you recommend any can'tdo you recommend any cant. On ar15 i run a miculeck approx 11:30 or 12:30 depending on how you look at it. Looking forward to checking it out. I wasn't unhappy with my jp and it sure is pretty but your brake looks to be very effective. Did some test loads with 110 grainers a while back, now setting up to do bulk load. Thinking out to 350/400 they are going to be cats meow
  7. have new supernova, heard this was the place found facebook page but I don't do facebook
  8. new extractor received an installed. no time to test fire, first opportunity to shoot was a match. Yeah, not a hiccupfan great. the new extractor spring has an O ring around it and what looks to be a rubber insert inside of it. it's also laser engraved JP. thanks again JP
  9. thank you for the responses! I called JP as suggest and had planned on doing. they gave me some good feedback also in route to me is a new extractor. Thank You JP for the great customer service and help!
  10. thank you everybody for the feedback. it's nice to know that a 26 inch barrel is less of a concern than what I was wondering, nice to have greater option.
  11. Mega match set Upper and Lower receivers. Did recommended torque setting but at moment don't remember what it was. If I remember correctly there is a spread in inch pounds from such to such. Thinking is was closer to the higher end of the torque spread but is within spec. Friend has equipment/torque wrench that used. Is a 1911 manufacturer also Smith's other types Firearms including AR's
  12. Trying to figure this out. Luck of the draw bad extractor? Combination of the build/settings? I'm thinking I haven't done anything abusive. Have shot 4 matches, did break in for barrel and sight in. Factory Privi Partizan 145 gr ammo, if I remember correctly they chronoed 2650-2700. 2nd match had a jam that occurred the last stage. Was a case that did not eject fully that was above a rnd that is being stripped from the mag. Wasn't sure what to think of it and did not give great consideration. In cleaning the rifle I did clean the gas system with pipe type cleaner first wetted lightly with hoppes the used dry. 3rd match 1rst stage was approx. 40 rnd stage, all good, 2nd stage about 25 rnds into it same jam, cleared it and continued. A few more rnds and same jam. Before going to last match in thought might need more gas for greater reliability so open the Syrac gas block 2 notches. I had originally adjusted per instructions. Start closed, open in increments to were bolt strips rnd from mag give 2 more increments for reliability. Last match 8rnds into it jam with case not extracted bolt has partially stripped rnd locked up at case not extracted. Pulled the bolt and carrier out wha la broken extractor. The Barrel, Enhanced bolt were to be head spaced at JP. the Light carrier, Syrac adj gas block, captured spring and other JP parts all ordered and shipped together. Thoughts/ideas appreciated
  13. Recently purchased MOA Precision M3000 package with 24" barrel that I am very happy with, the relationship of Barrel and Mag tube length are very close. Initially thinking 26 " barrel on the Super Nova would be extending beyond mag tube that works with Heavy Metal or 10 in the tube but am not sure so was thinking counter productive. 26 incher is definitely easier to find. Thank you for the feed back Breacher217/P.E. Kelley/C-expers
  14. Have interest in supernova. initially thinking 24-inch handier, would have enough barrel to be plenty effective and a 26 incher could prove to be a bit awkward. A 24 incher seems to be harder to find. don't have any issue waiting to come across a supernova with the 24 inch barrel but while waiting to find one thought I would post this for feedback. Gratis to any and all for whatever feedback given
  15. I very much appreciate the info on the choke tubes. Oh and thank you for helping me spend my money Oskino
  16. Looking to purchase extended choke set for my M3k. Anybody have pos or neg have input. Tom mentioned CDNN during my build/purchase of a complete out the door package unfortunately they don't have them anymore and didn't know what brand they were. Looking at the carlsons waterfowl package because haven't found something else yet . Thank you Tom I'm enjoying my M3k very much!
  17. Got my MOA Stoeger M3000 today. Have practiced quad loading 3 times over pay week using Invictus 8 rnd caddy, 2 times with stock 870 the other a stock M1. Tonight practiced loading all 8 from the caddy approx 10 times doing quads. This is seeming like a very smooth operator. Talked myself into timing myself, late and have to get up early but am having fun and wanted to give first impression. Did 3 quads and 8 times loaded all 8 doing 2 quads. Not sure of proper timer technique but this is what I did. Timer hanging from front pocket of cargo shorts, MOA shouldered, beep, load, slap timer upon completion of load. times for the quads 3.76, 3.89, 3.36. 8rnds 2 quads 7.78, fumble x the next 4 damn that timer, 8.59, 8.30 never felt clean all me. The MOA felt great. A little about me. I have almost no experience with the previous caddy system most of my 3 gun expedience is 2002 and previous using 3 gun gear side saddle and belt system. First impression of my MOA and Invictus loaders is pure pleasure. Thank you Tom and Kevin

  19. In respect to ease of cleaning the Jp would likely be easy to clean. It is polished like a mirror. It probably would not have the same ease of cleaning as NP3 finish but the disparity between the 2 finishes in respect to ease of cleaning would likely not warrant the expense of having the NP3 done. If it were a std BCG I would easily warrant the NP3 for reasons of I believe greater lubrisity and any other respects to funtionality also the ease of cleaning you mention wouldbe a very nice beny. The issue I have now is the finish would void warranty from JP and it was mentioned that the NP3 is so slick and non penetrable that it pushes the oil away and there could be issue in respect to part of the characterisics of the oil is to help wash-move away deposits although I am not sure of this it is something I heard. I know the funtion of the 1911 with NP3 i mentioned earlier remains slicker after a few hundred rnds than a 1911 that has say a more std finish. I was very interested my perceived benifits of NP3 for the BCG with loss of warranty and other reason mentioned previously not sure now. T Bacus thank you I appreciate your feedback I do think having a warranty issue for the BCG would likey be pretty low

  21. unsure of benifit to NP3 JP low mass carrier. I have been informed that it would void warranty. Bolt is highly polished but not slick like NP3. Have eperienced a 1911 that was NP3ed and it was slick. Was also told NP3 pushes lubricant away not allowing any penitration of lubricant also you loose washing away abilities of lube. Interested in feedback as I ama at a crux on this one at the moment.
  22. here are parameters of consideration frequently shoot with stock mounted in chest not shoulder, I like to do 3 gun interested in soft shooting rifle ( my understanding is rifle length buffer system shoots softer) need sling point or points light weight considering Ace but still looking look forward to any and all imput
