  1. Being the cheap and paranoid fellow I am...........................

My local gas station is associated with a large automotive/parts/tools chain. The store has had a reward program for the last 70 years, in the form of store cash coupons. The gas bar also offer the coupons, and include a multiplier coupon in thier weekly flyer.

Being a two car family, I fill up one vehicle and three 20L gas cans, using the coupon, and walk away with 2-3 dollars a fill up in store coupons. When the next vehicle needs fuel, I dump as much of the stored gas as possible into the other vehicle, and again fuel up the empty van and the gas cans.

In that way, I try to keep 60L on hand for emergencys, and rotate the fuel. However, I confess to being guilty of running too low.

Ok the real question is how many primers do you have and where are they?

  2. Another point is there are the "eagar beavers" you know they wanna go to the range 3 hours before scheduled time. Then there are the "Slow pokes" or the "I gotta eat at Dennys" or "I wanna stay at the range after we are done and watch TGO"

There is less than 500 people and factor out the people like me that wanna control their destiny somewhat. Shuttle can't work. I have rented that 15 passenger van and had a great time driving to a major with 7 or so friends a couple times.

  3. After mulling it over, I decided that my G34 needed a change. Not that I had any issues with how it looked before, but I was ready for something new. So I went over to Chris' house and after spending a few hours beside the polish wheel, the gun that I will be buried with got a face lift! (Thanks again Chris)

Dryfire with my right arm is slowly coming back bit by bit. I love the NY#1 trick so much I ordered a few more springs so that I can film a little demo on how to skeletonize it and drop it in for dryfire. Henceforth, this method is trademarked as the Barcelo Dryfire Trigger Maneuver ;)

Two matches this weekend, and I couldn't be happier...well, if I could find a job I suppose that would make things better...but I am still hopeful.

You two Master Gunsmiths ever think about asking someone how to remove duracoat? Well I have done it and I can tell you how to go remove it right. Too late now but you can still get the blue out of the serrations and logo.

  4. I agree that if you don't like it don't go.

I am always amazed that when people can't win they blame safety, its not tactical, the arms race or planet alignment for it and make their own game. Instead of getting better and winning.

That said in my youth I really enjoyed going to a local "Tactical" match with another M. I would borrow his Glock and we would take 1-2 every time. It gave the MD Fits so he started allowing reshoots to try to better his scores. Remember this is very tactical event cause you always get two or three tries in a real life shootout. We continued to win and never reshot. ;) It used to be great fun pulling out and seeing them lined up to make another run. Glad I'm not such a competitive person now.

  5. Hate the sounds of blow off valves but to get 800 hp out of a 2.0 liter(for 15 minutes and 15K feet change) ya gotta be pushing the boost and thats one of the ways to get the power and save the engine. I'll agree it probably loaded with electronics to deal with alt change and keep lag down.

I like the duct taped "gauge" to basically show what gear he is in.

  6. I have that issue with kegs sometimes. :)

How many times I gotta tell you.

Ya don't have to hold them while you drink em

But...how do you keep them from rolling away ??

Any why is it people feel they have to pump that damn thing every time they get a beer. Must be something left over from those teenage years.............

Flex doesn't pump kegs but I have seen him crush one like a beer can to get that last 2 drinks out

  7. I remember being "selected" to bail when I was like 12-14. It was a big deal since jobs were few and far between. It built character and I didn't want to be a weak link and not be choosen next time. I struggled as a skinny kid but did my share of throwing bales on the trailer. Stacking wasnt in my job description. We did have one guy just a little stronger. I used to watch him pick two up and fling them one two on the trailer.

  8. Thanks again everybody! It's been a good day.

If those 'Retirement tickets' I bought today pay off, it'll only get better!

    :D

PS I'll bet its really satisfying knowing that you can check "Super Senior" on match apps now
