  1. It could NEVER get that bad! It's gotten that bad for some of us. I've run low on supplies and play golf a lot more than I shoot at the moment.
  2. Third. I've shot thousands of rounds of it without an issue yet. I have no complaints and will continue to use it until quality drops off.
  3. If you're willing to spend the cash for a Burris FF2, I would get it. I have one on my steel challenge 22/45 and it's not let me down at all. I had a C-more on that pistol originally but it's the plastic framed gun and the C-more was throwing my balance off. I tried the FF2 and loved the weight. The sight itself functions perfectly as well but it's a "bit" harder to pick up the dot than it is with a C-more so you'll need some practice to get the grip down good so it always shows up. Once I got that part down, I love the little sight.
  4. I have a 5.5" 22/45 with a C-more but my times are actually faster with my 4" 22/45 with a Burris FF2 due to weight. I can sling the 4" like mad because it's so light. I find the 5.5 with the heavier sight tends to make transitions slower as I have to compensate for the momentum/inertia of the heavier gun trying to make me over run the target.
  5. I've always done safety off starts. We aren't required to keep finger out of the trigger guard after they ask "shooter ready" either.
  6. Look at the "pet 9mm load" thread in the reloading section. There are around 8 pages of great info.
  7. My method is most likely improper but it depends on the side I'm shooting around. If I'm going around the right side of the barricade I can stay vertical and get faster hits on target. On the left however thanks to a whole stack of injuries from the Corps including collapsed disks, cracked vertebrae, and a torn rotator cuff, I have to lean and cant my sights and it takes me longer to get good hits while staying covered. Still fairly accurate though as stage 3 on my last classifier was 30 down 7 or 8 (sketchy memory on points down).
  8. Ammo? In all honesty I've had one around 6 months and it has run like a champ. Bought it for ESP, 9lb recoil spring, 17lb mainspring, skateboard tape, vs grips, and a cheap Wilson Combat speed chute and Dawson magazines and it hasn't hiccup'd in 3500 rounds or so. Mainly precision or 1 hole lead 125's loaded to 1050 fps. Finally last month the extractor got loose enough to occasionally let the last round slip into the feed lips of the mag so I need to get it fixes but the gun has been perfect up till that point. I kept spare springs on hand and that was it. Never changed one because of a problem, only when I felt it was time.
  9. I've managed to complete 1 380 round through a SDB. Found it as I was putting them in cases. Lots of 380 showing up locally now.
  10. I'm the odd man out. I use bladetech gear on my ss 1911 but when I picked up a 34 I needed q holster right then to try in a match the next day. The only thing I could find locally was an Uncle Mikes kydex so I grabbed it. I've never been happier with a holster. Excellent retention, easy to adjust, parts to use it as a paddle or belt holster included, and 1/3 of the price of the bladetech. After my 3rd match with it I decided to not bother replacing it because it worked so well.

    G35 troubles

I agree. A direct replacement barrel should chamber the same rounds as factory or be fixed on the companies dime. I would go with my local smith too and take my business elsewhere from now on.
  12. I guess I'm a bit of a sell out since I'm using one of the copies of the SC bag but I had no idea it was a hotly debated topic or controversy when I bought mine. I use an OD greed Midway large bag, a black Academy large bag that's identical but "slightly" smaller, and a few pouches for pistol gear. For trap and sporting clays I use a Browning bag I won in a trap shoot this last summer. No complaints about any of them but had I known the SC vs the world argument when I bought my pistol bags, I would have bought the SC to avoid the stink eye
  13. Micheal, I just installed your latest version on an HTC Hero and it works like a champ for me outdoors. I haven't had a chance to try it at an indoor range yet but we have a Monday night IDPA shoot on the 28th and I'll let you know if it works well in there. Thank you so much!
  14. Thanks for the information. I figured it would be fairly high being such a small volume case but doubled ??? Glad I asked first.
  15. I'm just curious if anyone can help me out with this question because I can't find anything in the search. When a published load for a bullet you want to use states 1.169 as an OAL but your gun starts having issues around 1.145, how much would you reduce the load when working it up to start with? I've not been able to find anything "concrete" on changing OAL. The load I'm wanting to try will be 147gr MG over x.x of WSF using a CCI 500 primer. The load is listed with a longer OAL than my gun will reliably digest so would 10% down be a good starting place? I'm a shot shell loader, pistol loading is fairly new to me so I'm still learning (and I learn a LOT from this place using that little box in the upper right hand corner hahaha).
  16. I agree with Eku. I used an 1100 CT for trap shooting for 1 year, around 12k rounds, and it did the same thing even with regular maintenance and cleaning. Turned our my method of cleaning the gas ports wasn't working well and when I shoved a paper clip through them I dug out enough Green Dot to make 2 or 3 more shells. Check your ports if the new spring doesn't cure it.
  17. I started using a magic dot on my left eye about a year ago shooting sporting clays and trap. Both eyes are 20/20 and 20/13 combined but my left eye would take over if I was shooting a left hand target or doubles in sporting clays. I shot 1 eyed to help but in a 300 bird event the fatigue would get me in the afternoon and my scores would drop like a rock. The magic dot left my depth perception intact and killed the strain of squinting as well while stopping my ability to focus on the target with my left eye. Stopped a lot of frustration for me.
  18. Looks like the scale has been covered as has the 366 so I'll comment on the 9000g. It will only drop powder and shot if a hull is present which is a huge plus to me. The primer feed is so so to good as long as you keep it lubed and the resizing collet works great but is prone to sticking if it digests a piece of shot. I load around 15k a year give or take depending on whether I'm shooting more trap and clays it pistols that year and I love my MEC.
  19. I clean after every match or practice, detail strip once a month or so. Don't want to, it just seems wrong not to. 11 years in the Marine Corps has institutionalized me.
